Small, self-contained, air-conditioned guest suite with private entry. Host family lives upstairs, you live downstairs. You have your own space with a modern private ensuite and private keyed entry. A small well-equipped kitchenette with your own mini-bar fridge is available in the adjacent laundry. You may need to share this kitchenette with a guest staying in our other room. Free use of bicycles included; easy access to CBD and Southbank via designated bikeway (no sharing road with cars!).
Small recently renovated self-contained air-conditioned suite. You have your own private entrance and key to come and go as you please from your own private space. The room has its own modern private ensuite (not shared) and you also have access to a separate kitchenette which is in the adjacent laundry (see pictures!). This "micro apartment" is located downstairs underneath a high-set classic Queenslander style house only 3 km from the Brisbane CBD. We live upstairs and will offer you assistance and hospitality if that is what you want, or total privacy if that is what you prefer. You can freely come and go as you please with your own key to your own private and self-contained accommodation. The local area is well-served by public transport. The Brisbane airtrain travelling to the Gold Coast from Brisbane airport provides you with a direct link to our place. You get off at Park Road Railway station which is a 10 minute walk from our place. Pick up from the train station can be arranged if your arrival in Brisbane is at a convenient time to us. Or we can email you a map with clear instructions to walk here and let yourselves in. We accept will make every effort to allow for 24 hour check in (e.g. during the day when we are both at work, or even in the middle of the night) by making arrangements that enable you to collect your key and let yourself into your room without needing our assistance. However, due to past experience (our dog escaping when guests left gate open costing us $208 to retrieve him from the dog pound!), we require clear communication between you and us via airbnb messaging before we confirm any arrangements for you to check in without us being here!!) The room has two single folding Ikea sofa beds, which can also be configured into a queen size bed fitted with Queen sheets if you are travelling as a couple. You will need to tell us BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL if you want the beds made up as two single beds rather than a double bed. The kitchenette (see photo) with a mini-bar fridge and a microwave is located separately in our laundry, right next to your room. There is also a toaster, a mini electric frypan, single electric hotplate and an electric kettle along with a espresso coffee machine (coffee pods provided by us) and a set of basic crockery and cutlery. You may have to share this space with a student staying in our other room. A 'start up kit' of of basic breakfast supplies (cereal, milk and your choice of yogurt, orange juice or two minute noodles) plus tea bags and espresso coffee pods can be provided on requestt for you in the kitchenette for your convenience if you have no time or energy to locate shops when you first arrive. We supply breakfast supplies for guests for first morning only and can give you instructions on where to get groceries once your "start up supplies" run out. There is a TV with built in DVD player in your room. WiFi internet will work easily in your room, even though modem is upstairs in our house. No off street parking available. If you have a car, we can provide you with a resident's guest parking permit to be displayed on the dashboard of your car which will prevent you from getting a parking ticket if your car is parked in our street for more than 2 hours between the hours of 9 am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Just let us know that you will need this before you arrive. There will be a $20 security deposit required for the parking permit which will be returned when you give the permit back on your day of departure. We offer bicycles (2) free of charge with a bicycle lock also supplied - if you would like to explore inner Brisbane in this way. There are scenic bike rides along the nearby Brisbane River and Kangaroo Point cliffs which you can access using the bikeway system (no on road riding needed). We can give you information about the Brisbane bikeway system - maps etc - if this is your interest. We also have an e-bike as well as regular bicycles. Please ask in advance if you want to use the e-bike. We actually live in a great spot for cycling enthusiasts who might be interested in exploring inner Brisbane via bicycle. You're welcome to use our front-loading washing machine to catch up with laundry while here. Just let us know so we don't end up needing to both do laundry at the same time! This accommodation is quite small but it is modern, private, and separate/self-contained from our family's living space upstairs. It is therefore especially suited for people who might prefer the feeling of privacy provided by self-contained accommodation rather than having to share a bathroom or living space with others, but who might also travelling on a tight budget making a normal studio apartment too expensive. The cleaning fee of $20 includes your fresh linen and towels, first morning breakfast supplies (teabags, milk, breakfast cereal, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee) to cover you for the first day or so. We supply coffee pods for the espresso machine. However, the deal is that from Day 2 onward, after we have given you info re local shops etc, you supply your own breakfast. Ask us if you would like to borrow umbrellas . . . hopefully not required!! We have recently done a home renovation. The "inside" renovation, including your space, is complete but some of the "outside" is not yet finished. As you can see from the photos the house still has no front steps or front fence and we still need to do the landscaping in the front garden. But this does not affect the privacy, amenity or cleanliness of your accommodation. In the past, we have had home stay students from overseas stay with us. Persons from overseas countries, with English as a second language or from different cultural backgrounds especially welcomed. We have hosted people immigrating to Australia who have used our room as their first base as they find their way and settle in to a new country. We enjoy cultural exchange and learning. We seek to offer a special type of true hospitality to those who specifically ask for it. [Matthew 25:35-40] The option of joining us for dinner on our "deck" - Australian for "outdoor living room" - is available. This would need to be by discussion - depends on your dietary requirements and whether we can easily cater for them (We are not vegetarians - but eat vegetarian food at least twice per week and vegetarians can be easily catered for). Cost is $10 per person per meal. We request 24 hours notice if you are interested in taking up this offer. LEGAL DISCLAIMER. Close to the city and CBD, with a good variety of cheap places to eat out if you have the information you need to find them, an area which is now suddenly experiencing urban renewal/gentrification on a big scal(URL HIDDEN) An Uber ride into the CBD is typically only $10, to the Southbank tourist precinct maybe even less than $10. Get the Uber app on your phone.

A mall with Coles & Aldi is a 15 minute walk (1.4km) This AFFORDABLE SPACIOUS ROOM has a super comfy queen bed, a desk, clothes shelf & a ceiling fan. The modern BATHROOM IS TO SHARE with another guest room. FREE EXTRAS include unlimited wifi, stan, book exchange and basic/quick/simple use of our private kitchen before 9pm. We have two cute & friendly cats who enjoy a cuddle. DOES OUR HOME SUIT YOUR NEEDS ??? Plenty of restaurants/pubs/take aways/delivery options. - IS THERE A POSSIBILITY TO WASH MY CLOTHES? Yes, there is a Laundromat 400m from us, open 7 days from 7am-10pm. Our private laundry is not available to guests. - HOW TO GET THERE FROM THE AIRPORTS? Uber (~$24) or Taxi (~$31) takes 15 min; direct train to Albion station (Airtrain from domestic 15min, from international 11min) $17.50 per ticket, then walk 10-15 minutes - HOW FAR ARE YOU FROM THE CITY AND HOW DO I GET THERE? Bus stop 160m with direct buses to the valley (9min) or to the city (14min to central station). Windsor train station 650m and Albion train station 950m with direct trains to the valley (6min), central station (9min), roma street (13min) and southbank (20min). Public Transport runs very regularly between 5am and 1am every day, as there are 2 bus stops and 2 train stops within 1km of our home you can basically catch a bus or train every 5-10 minutes. A taxi trip to/from the city costs ~$14 and Uber ~$11 - DO THE CATS BITE? No, they are cuddle monsters and love to play. - DO YOU PROVIDE BEDDING AND TOWELS? Groceries shop and Liquor shop is also less than 5 min walk.

  • Mieliśmy wspaniały pobyt. Budynek jest nowy i czysty, z pięknym widokiem na miasto (9 piętro). Jest blisko Fortitude Valley i sklepów / restauracji wokół Gasworks i James Street (kupiliśmy artykuły spożywcze w Woolworths w Gasworks okolicy, ale jest sklep spożywczy IGA tuż przy ulicy). Chodziliśmy do / z centrum miasta kilka razy, ponieważ nie jest tak daleko i transport publiczny jest drogie w Brisbane, i lubimy chodzenia. Punktem kulminacyjnym dla miasta było korzystanie z systemu wypożyczania rowerów (trochę czasu, aby to zrozumieć) i jeżdżąc wzdłuż rzeki. Złowiliśmy taksówkę wodną z powrotem, co również polecamy bardzo. Jest tam bezpłatny parking w garażu (który używaliśmy) i basen i kawiarenka (co nie korzystaliśmy). Ben jest bardzo elastyczny. Wysoce polecany.

  • Mój pobyt w domu Ben był niesamowity, zatrzymałem się z rodziną i miał najlepszy czas. Ben był gościnny gospodarz i przywitał nas po przyjeździe. To miejsce było dokładnie takie, jak zdjęcia, super piękne, luksusowe i czyste. Łóżko było wygodne, a ręczniki i przekąski były również przewidziane, co było bonusem. Postanowiliśmy sprawdzić dach na szczycie słońca i zachodu słońca. Widoki były fenomenalne i mogliśmy dostać 360 ° widok na całe miasto! Mieszkanie było mniej niż 5 minut od restauracji King Street i RNA (Ekka) showgrounds. My kończyliśmy się chodzące do Emporium, innego okręgu z wspaniałe możliwością wyżywienia. Centrum handlowe Queen Street Mall, główne centrum miasta Brisbane, oddalone jest o jedną przecznicę od hotelu. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, uwielbialiśmy to miejsce i nie polecam więcej pobytu w Airbnb Ben dla każdego, kto chce doświadczenie Brisbane lub po prostu chce się weekendowy wypad!

    TROPICAL, SIMPLE AND AFFORDABLE!! Hello and welcome to Brisbane! My son, small dog and I have a large leafy Queenslander home in Cannon Hill with roomy private self contained accommodation for up to four people downstairs. Cannon Hill is 8kms from city centre. The space has 1 large bedroom with TV (double bed with new mattress topper) with own bathroom and separate toilet and separate secure entrance so you can come and go without any disruptions. Kitchenette/living room connected to outdoor undercover terrace. This room contains a sofa bed or fold out beds for extra guests. The bedroom can also accommodate the single beds if preferred. Insect screens are installed on windows. A very child friendly property, with a secure tall fence all around and a large trampoline available for use. Offstreet parking for one car is available if needed, (I will put my car out) but there is plenty of free parking in the street outside for car caravan, boat etc. LOCATION Cannon Hill is located approximately 8kms from the CBD or roughly 15 minutes to the city or 15 minutes out to Cleveland and other bayside areas. We are only 20 minutes by car / taxi from the airport. Very handy to access both the Sunshine and Gold Coasts on the Gateway Motorway. There is a car rental office just around the corner! TRANSPORT Train: Cannon Hill Station on the Cleveland Line is 700 metres away. Bus: Route 227 to and from City stops around the corner - 50 metres away- all timetables available. Citycat Ferries: stop at Bulimba where there is a bus (Route 232) that comes to near our home. SEE TRANSPORT DETAILS. Airport or train station pick up can be arranged (small charge) if really needed. All timetables available here. Wireless internet available throughout house, and a small library for relaxing. Am working on a reference visitor information resource section but as a Brisbane person, I am able to provide good information regarding Brisbane's attractions. I have been a traveller so have a good understanding of visitor needs and will be delighted to share whatever I have in my head over a cup of coffee (or something more grown up) on the big back deck upstairs. It is simple, clean and contemporary - a good space to relax after a long business day, conference, student stay or visit to Brisbane.There are leafy options for outdoor eating relaxing in the simple undercover area or in the bamboo garden. FACILITIES New modern kitchenette within the living area with: Induction cooktop, microwave, electric frypan and skillet, toaster, electric kettle, flat bed griller (upon request) and refrigerator as well as tea and coffee making facilities, plates, cutlery for simple independent self catering. Pedestal fan, IPOD dock, large flat screen TV, iron and ironing board, large work table/ desk, plenty of wardrobe space and tallboy for clothes. BBQ is available for outdoor cooking day and night, if you want the real Queenslander experience. Shared front load washing machine and drying area. WIFI throughout. Oil Heater available upon request for a fee of $4 per night. It is a safe oil type heater. See "Other things to Note" below. SHOPPING AND EATING OUT - 700m from two large supermarkets, deli, butcher, newsagent cafe. - 700m from several takeaway food places - I have takeaway menus available. Organic supermarket is about 600m away. Nightly Rate Includes - Accommodation for first person plus $10 for each additional guest. There is a sofa bed that can accommodate 1-2 people / children or one adult plus I have another single mattress on floor if preferred. Bedroom is quite a large room. - Tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter and jams will be in fridge to get you started. After that I leave it up to you to purchase your own supplies. - Fresh linen, towels, soaps, shampoo etc. Supplied linen will be changed after one week for longer stays or upon request. - Access to wireless internet as long as use is not in the mega proportions for movie downloads and TV streaming. CHECK IN / CHECK OUT Our standard check in time is after 2pm and check out before 10am. We are happy to be flexible on this wherever it doesn't conflict with other bookings, please just communicate with us about what you need. Minimum 3 nights night up to a maximum stay of four weeks. If you do require a longer stay, please get in touch to discuss further as I am flexible. NO SMOKING This is definately a non smoking home. Please do not smoke anywhere in or around the house. I am an Airbnb user for overseas trips so hopefully have covered the basics for a simple affordable alternative for your stay in Brisbane.     We had a very pleasant stay at the apartment in Brisbane city centre. It's not dead center, but if you've got good legs you're there in about 10 to 15 minutes walking. It's a small, but cosy apartment with everything you need to have a very comfortable and easy stay. It's packed with all you need to prepare a meal like pots pans, cutlery, pepper, salt, oil, etc. In the fridge we found homemade granola, some fruit and delicious Tim Tams ;). There is of course also excellent wifi and a good bed to sleep in. Jennifer was really kind and helpful to guide us through the city and drop us of at the bus station. Great Stay!
