  • We had a wonderful time staying with Mary Beth and Peter. A beautiful location, unique and welcoming! Our hosts made everything easy, from a small fridge full of goodies, recommendations on markets/restaurants and things to do. We loved the private wine tasting, great conversation and the dip in their beautiful pool. A great stay and we can't wait to come back!

  • Our stay was absolutely amazing! The space was exactly as the photos depicted: very clean/tidy, all of the essentials were included (plus some lovely extras like snacks and coffee), and a dip in the infinity pool was a great way to start the morning. Mary Beth and Peter were wonderful hosts; extremely friendly and accommodating. Peter was kind enough to offer us a private tasting, which were some of the best wines we have sampled in the region. We look forward to returning and happily recommend the location to anyone!

  • Mary Beth and Peter were wonderful hosts. Communication was seamless. They were quick and proactive with recommendations. They produce a wonderful Zin! During our stay, there was a technical issue with Uber, so Mary Beth very graciously drove us to dinner. Everything about the stay was perfect.

  • Fantastic. Just as described. Welcoming and comfortable.

    Andrea2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Unbelievable experience. Mary's place was fantastic. Cozy, intimate and literally inside a winery. Couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Healdsburg. Thanks again Mary!

  • Look no further for the perfect place to stay! So amazing to stay in an actual tasting room which serves as your place to unwind after a day of wine tasting. Picturesque views to wake up to and the rooms are comfy cozy! The hosts are spot on with communication and the entire process was seamless.

Rustic cabin, built in 1901, now being lovingly nuzzled back to beauty. Spacious and cozy, woodsy and bright, with two big porches overlooking the Russian River Valley. For each rental, $50 goes to the Sonoma County Resilience Fund for fire relief efforts.
Rustic cabin, built in 1901, now being lovingly nuzzled back to beauty. Spacious and cozy, woodsy and bright, with two big porches overlooking the Russian River Valley. A five-minute walk from the river, a five-minute drive from a bunch of wineries, and twenty-five minutes from the unbelievable Sonoma coast.
  • My favorite Northern California cabin yet. Totally delightful. Rustic & full of surprises. Many happy hours writing by the fire & reading while nestled in one of the lofts. A total gem.

  • Such a cool little spot! We would definitely stay at Eli's place again.

    Brendon2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Secluded and quiet, surrounded by woods and no traffic on the access road. Yet very close (walking distance) to the Russian River. We totally dug the retro flavor of the house, stuffed with dozens (if not hundreds) of objects from a more or less distant past. And the loft with the hidden bed was a hit with my kids. Eli is a supercool host!

    Davide2012-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • 3rd time back! This place is my escape away from the city, but it's not too far from cool wineries and photo ops....always a breeze with check-in and just as described. Thanks again Eli! he's super great and responsive.

    Meredith2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Just a great place to disconnect and get away. After the initial technology withdrawals I could feel myself unwinding.

    Tyler2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I spent a weekend here and had a great time. The place is cozy, nestled in the trees and had a great outdoor space. It was super quiet, very peaceful and has some beautiful views of the mountains from the bedroom. The vinyl player was a fantastic addition as we played music and played board games, drank wine and cozied up near the wood-burning heater in the living room every night. The bathroom/kitchen Just a few downsides would include cleanliness/organization of kitchen (easily remedied), lack of curtains in bedroom (privacy and sun-blocking) and cleanliness of outdoor deck area. Overall, we had a great weekend and left smiling all the way home! I would recommend staying here and would love to come back!

    Erica2018-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • All the positive comments below are truth. Eli's place is a great hideout relatively close to the City. Lots of natural light, fully stocked kitchen, books, records, canoe, plenty of sleep options and tons of firewood... also it was very clean. Eli was responsive and flexible. Highly recommend.

    Devin2012-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Eli's cabin is amazing! Super close to the Russian River and just a short drive to Guernville stores and restaurants. Also a short drive to Armstrong Woods reserve which was incredible as well. We were super cozy and felt super safe and secure, too. Really funky style with fully functional everything. Thanks again Eli!

  • Delightful place in a wonderful location- impeccably clean, and very comfortable. Johnny was super-helpful with his advice on the area as well!

    Sudhir2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • I decided to treat myself to mini solo retreat near the Russian River and Johnny's place was perfect. The small sectional couch made for a comfortable spot to watch tv or work on my laptop. I had the best time exploring all of the cool little towns in the area. I took a stand up paddle boarding lesson on a private lake in Occidental and then enjoyed a cedar enzyme bath at Osmosis in Freestone. Dinner at the Rio Nido Roadhouse is a must. You won't regret renting this lovely cottage right in the center of everything! Thank you, Johnny, for such a great property at an affordable price!

    Vicky2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy space, great location. I enjoyed the nearby Indian Foodtruck in Rio Nido. It was a real delight.

    Richard2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • These rentals are amazing, we cant wait to go back. Fully equipped with all of the essentials, so packing is easy! Location is wonderful, can walk to the Rio Nido Roadhouse for meals, excellent time there as well. I have to rate this trip 5 stars for communication, cleanliness, value, and all of the personal touches in the units. We cant wait to go back!

    Jeri2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Johnny's place was great. The unit is spacious, and the surrounding neighborhood is very serene. You can drive about 15 minutes into Guerneville if you need some city life. Otherwise you can stay put and really commune with nature.

    Garen2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to get in touch with, great space, had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the Russian River. Thanks to Johnny for being so accessible and helpful. Loved the shower, especially!

  • Very cute bungalow, just what we were looking for. Area is quite dark at night, but we came to get away from the city lights. Very nice spot tucked away in the woods.

Heaven in the Oaks An attractive, ultra-romantic, almost-a-cottage Bed&Breakfast is waiting for you in our restored 1930s-era vacation home just outside celebrated Healdsburg. We consider our B&B as a destination in itself for those who want to take full advantage of the delights of the Healdsburg-area Wine Country while at the same time luxuriating in the woodsy serenity of a secluded corner of northern Sonoma County—the historic Fitch Mountain district--and enjoying its recreational opportunities. Not least, it is the IDEAL place to celebrate that special occasion or birthday, and we can help you do that… (We are rated the “#1 Airbnb Rental in Healdsburg,” out of 100: (Website hidden by Airbnb) At Heaven in the Oaks, you can relax in your own private, quiet patio--your own secluded retreat: from your room you can see nothing but trees. You can take a walk or jog through the oaks and redwoods--a great path to the 173-acre Fitch Mountain Nature Preserve (called “Healdsburg’s Jewel”) actually starts right outside your front door. You can swim/kayak in the Russian River (5 minutes below your patio)… or drive/Lyft/Uber to Healdsburg’s historic, colorful Plaza, shops, restaurants, & tasting rooms. Now, to be clear, don’t expect to be “right on the Plaza”; we’re a beautiful oasis in the country. But the Healdsburg Plaza is just a quick 3.1-mile, 9-minute drive--honest! (Sure, Fitch Mountain Road is a bit narrow and curvy in places--it hugs the river--, but drive slowly and enjoy its “vacation-cottage landscape.” And yes, there are two uphill curves just before our home, but think “charming hill town in Italy”!) We have only one guest room--and it really is almost a separate, private cottage (attached to the house, but totally insulated from it: a 200 sq.ft room + bathroom & 200 sq.ft. patio), with its own private entry and parking. Our objective is to give you an enjoyable stay, right from the moment you check in. And we’re “on-site hosts”--ready to give you whatever you need. When you arrive, you will be greeted with a glass of wine (do you like red, rosé, or white?) and an array of tasty snacks. But wait!--that is just the beginning. Being the ONLY TRUE B&B in the Healdsburg area, we serve you a bounteous, gourmet, home-made breakfast (we invite you to factor this breakfast-for-two into the price of a stay here), with a lengthy menu of delicious selections, and a choice of times (crack of dawn or sleep in?), delivered to your door. Enjoy morning-fresh eggs from our four hens, Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, and Carrie (when cooperating). Our guests love our unique offerings! As one guest wrote: "I didn’t have to get dressed to go out or to a common dining room. I stayed in my room, no make-up, hair in a mess and in my pj's! They brought me what I wanted, when I wanted it, hot and fresh to my door.” Another said that she felt she was a princess being pampered. Even if you’re not a princess, we want you to feel special. The photos we have posted on this site will give you an exact picture of your room, and we recommend looking at them carefully. You will enjoy: ● A cozy, light-filled sitting room-bedroom with • gorgeous, spacious armoire • elegant furnishings & bamboo hardwood floor • writing table and comfortable chairs • queen-size bed • private patio • two windows overlooking a wooded creek & canyon (where you may see our deer “family” placidly grazing just a few feet below your window) • electric fireplace • ceiling fan & air-conditioner • other amenities, including mini-fridge, microwave oven, single-shot tea- and coffee-maker, large-screen TV, “legacy” DVD player + DVDs, total picnic needs for the river, iron & board, robes & slippers, free, secure Wi-fi internet, and… paintings by Kathryn. (Please note that it is a room not a suite! There is plenty of room for two suitcases, but guests with 3 or more may find it tight. No need to put anything in the car trunk, though: we’ll be glad to store anything you want--suitcases, wine (we promise not to open your wine bottles), etc.). ● Totally private, connecting bathroom with large, just-installed walk-in shower, towel-warmer, heater, etc. Mosaic floor by Kathryn, of course. ● Reserved parking spot right in front—large & all for you--& private front entrance ● French doors opening onto a walled, flower-filled private patio, with gate and complete privacy, for dining and relaxing, with a transparent roof over the table against the rain and a radiant gas heater for alfresco breakfasts on chilly mornings. Like your room, it’s filled with art by Kathryn: mosaic stepping stones, mirrors & frames… And oh, the starry sky above (moon & clouds permitting)! And you’ll enjoy “our own” chickadees (bathing in the fountain), hummingbirds (in the Abutilon bush), and Steller’s jays (waiting to taste your breakfast). What we offer makes Heaven on the Oaks a true destination in itself! And we love guests who are looking for just such a place! • Single or couple only • PLEASE: no children over one year old, pets, • No smoking, even of our locally-grown product, please (either inside or on the patio) • In 2018, a TWO-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY applies to SOME WEEKENDS —so please check the calendar when considering a booking! • Electric vehicles: We LOVE seeing electric cars, but if you’re going to charge them here, we reluctantly have to ask for an extra $10 per day (cash or check), the cost we are billed. • So sorry, but the County of Sonoma charges 12% TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax), already included in your quoted price, and requires Airbnb to charge you that amount, which Airbnb then remits directly to the County. “… A true find in Healdsburg… “ “… I felt like I was staying in a boutique hotel… “ “… We thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in their guest suite which was the epitome of relaxation. Their beautiful mountain retreat was peaceful and incredibly quiet. Dave & Kathryn were spectacular hosts and I would not hesitate to stay here again….” “… The accommodations were thoughtfully and artistically designed, with every amenity… “ “… We also wanted to go for wine tasting and guess what? They had everything to plan your wine tasting places in the valley. Maps, lists and a lot of complimentary wine tasting passes…” “… The home cooked breakfast was delicious and large enough to keep us well fed during hours of wine tasting. We'll definitely recommend this little gem to our friends and family!... “ Ours is a quiet rural road nestled in beautiful oaks, redwoods, California bay, and buckeye trees near the bottom of Fitch Mountain, some 100’ above the Russian River. Ours was a popular riverside vacation area in the 1920s and 1930s for families from the San Francisco area; many of the houses are converted and enlarged summer homes (like ours, now 2,000 sq.ft.). Fitch Mountain is known for its interesting local history, eclectic building styles, beautiful views, secluded neighborhoods, and friendly spirit. Step out your door, and a five-minute walk below our B&B is the Russian River, where you can launch your canoe/kayak, or just picnic (we’ll give you a “picnic pack” with everything you’ll need) and watch everyone float by. We can email you complete information on kayaking/canoeing opportunities and rental services. Or head up our road: it quickly becomes a popular walking and biking path right in the midst of the forest, and it continues on an easy ascent to the top of Fitch Mountain (all 981 feet of it!), currently being developed as a nature preserve. This is paradise for walkers, hikers, joggers, and cyclists. Nearby, and stretching to the coast, are a host of city, county, and state parks of every size and description. We can email you complete information on popular walking trails--including a fascinating one to the Healdsburg Ridge Park, which you can access from your room. And we can send you full information. We can also send you a list of local bicycle rental shops and what they each offer. Just ask. Healdsburg is a destination--rated #2 in the Smithsonian Magazine's "Top 20 Towns to Visit in 2014" & #1 in CitiesJournal’s April 2014 “Top 15 Small Cities in California,” with its famous Plaza--voted among the 10 best in the U.S.-and world-class shopping, restaurants, and winery tasting rooms. Wine-tasting is just minutes away. You might start with a few of Healdsburg’s 34 tasting-rooms right downtown, or just head for the wineries themselves. Among the winery-filled areas, in 8 to 30 minutes you will be at famous wineries in Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Chalk Hill, and Sonoma Valley. We are truly in the heart of the Sonoma County Wine Country! In your room you’ll find full information, plus maps and free tasting passes to over 30 wineries. Kathryn owned her own winery, and Dave worked 30 years in the Napa-Sonoma wine industry (he now works in the Italian wine industry), and we will be happy to share our knowledge with you. We can email you our own winery visit recommendations, organized into 10 “admittedly-subjective” categories! And more. You might want to head into downtown Healdsburg for a great meal in one of our many prized restaurants (the list we sent you!). Healdsburg and nearby towns boast rich programs of year-round wine events (every month!); jazz and musical events; art galleries and shows; famous running and cycling competitions (e.g., Amgen race and Grand Fondo, and the Fitch Mountain foot race); river races and festivals; craft beer shows (Sonoma County has 22 craft brewers), Farmers Market (Saturday mornings, 9-12; Wednesdays, 4-6pm, May-Nov); and a multitude of farms that supply the best restaurants in Northern California. Healdsburg’s public golf course is 5 minutes down the road. We will provide you with lots of maps & tourism materials. We are an hour and a half from San Francisco airport (bus service to Healdsburg) and 15 minutes from the Santa Rosa airport. We look forward to hosting you! Kathryn and Dave Henderson
  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heaven in the Oaks. Kathryn and Dave have put together a relaxing guest oasis. They provided several handy items such as picnic ware and beach towels to allow guests to easily take advantage of the natural surroundings. Breakfast every morning on the patio was a delight, and we enjoyed the treats left for us in the evenings as well. Kathryn and Dave were approachable, easy to talk to, and have put together an informational binder to help guests plan their time in the Healdsburg area. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend their place to friends and family traveling to the area.

    Abi2013-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience. Love the little private patio and bedroom. Very comfortable room in secluded area, but only 5 minutes from downtown healdsburg. The wine and cheese that was prepared for us when we arrived was so nice! Would definitely stay again.

    Amanda2013-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful trip! Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming!!! Would definitely go back!

    Katie2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Heaven in the Oaks! Dave and Kathryn were wonderful hosts and their place is so very cute, luxurious and peaceful. They have thought of everything and more. As hosts ourselves, we can really appreciate all the efforts that were made to ensure our visit was 5 stars on every level - and it was! From the chickens making the eggs to heavenly cherubs around every corner, we could not have asked for more. We highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Healdsburg. You will have a great experience and definitely be inspired!

    Donna2014-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time getting away from it all at Dave and Kathryn's place. We started both days with a quick hike around the Fitch mountain area and then enjoyed nearby wine country. Absolutely relaxing and Dave and Kathryn were so accommodating.

    James2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heaven in the Oaks truly is heaven. Dave and Kathryn were excellent hosts. They gave us tons of helpful information for the cottage as well as places to eat, wineries, and other things to do in the area. They knew we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and offered personal touches each day to help celebrate. The snacks and food were all gourmet- you couldn't get a better breakfast if you went to a restaurant. Plus, it was nice to just wake up in your pjs and have coffee and a delicious breakfast on a gorgeous and relaxing, private patio. We wish we could have stayed longer!

    Tiffany2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Kathryn's Airbnb was a perfect place to stay while visiting Healdsburg. They were beyond gracious hosts and very accommodating, every detail was thought out to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The welcome snacks / wine and home-cooked breakfast were delicious as well! I will definitely look to stay here again the next time we are in the area.

    Nora2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted warmly with small plate of goodies w wine and a cupcake to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Great start!! Room is cozy but carefully laid out to maximize use of space. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio and flexibility on timing of when food was available - we didn't get up until 11 am and breakfast was waiting. The road up is bit winding but worth it and it is really convenient to downtown Healdsburg. Would love to return to both the area and this spot in particular.

Smack dab in the middle of Sonoma County. Our 600 Sq ft Loft has all your home amenities. 5 minutes from J Winery and Rodney Strong among others. We have added your own private enclosed deck, so you can enjoy your space under the oaks. Compare to hotels with kitchens! $350.00+
Why we are worth it... 1: The Location 2: Full Kitchen 3: The Double Sized Rain Shower 4: Hosts that don't want to be all up in your business! 5: Memoryfoam Mattress 6. Private Parking off the street 7. New enclosed private deck
Quiet Neighborhood with just a little country thrown in. Construction behind The Loft has slowed to a crawl. We can not predict their intensity on a day to day basis, but the private deck allows for a more serene environment.
  • We were attending A wedding in Healdsburg and this is a perfect location. The room was extremely clean and it was lovely to have fresh scones waiting for us that we enjoyed while we were there. it is tucked back in a very quiet neighborhood and we had no trouble finding it. It was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, including the wineries.

    Jill2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is a lovely, quiet place to stay. We really needed to relax and unwind, and it was perfect. Scones, coffee, tea, and creamer/butter were left for us which was so nice. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is nice, with a large shower! Bring a book, go wine tasting, or visit a local restaurant - we tried Cafe Lucia in Healdsburg and Chinois chinese in Fulton for take-out. We will definitely be back!

    Lisa2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic two-night stay for me and my boyfriend! All around great location near the city but still secluded. Only complaints is that there is NO a/c, although it wasn't too bad mid-August when we opened the windows at night. Other issue is that the vineyard directly behind the home was plowed down, although there is a much larger vineyard about 50 yards away (just a small change from the current images in the listing). General amenities were great though, and bathroom was awesome! Overall, the location and house itself was great. Host was helpful when needed. We would definitely stay here again if we vacation in the Sonoma/Napa region! 4.5 out of 5 stars.

    Shelby2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really cute layout and well designed place. The owners are in the front house and this place is separate with its own entrance. Felt private and had nice view of grape vineyards. We arrived and fresh scones were there for us which was very nice.

    Nancy2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at The Loft twice and would return again. Great private and quiet location close to wine-tasting, cycling routes, and Healdsburg foodie heaven. The deck is perfect and exactly as pictured.

    Katherine2016-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place -- and to find the fireplace on and fresh scones waiting for us on a cold, rainy afternoon just added to the experience. The loft is a perfect, centrally located little hideaway perfect for exploring the wineries and the coast.

    Bette2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a really lovely quick getaway spot. My fiancé and I were in town for two days for an appointment and were so pleased with this location. It was tucked away from the busier parts of wine country, but close enough with a 15 minute drive to the great restaurants in Santa Rosa or even Sebastopol. The view was pretty spectacular at sunset from the back porch, and it was decorated in a very charming manner.

    Billy And Hope2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Loft beneath the Oaks! It has a beautiful view over a vineyard, and provided a perfect location near Healdsburg. Also, the discounted wine shipping was a fabulous addition. Thank you so much!! We would absolutely return again.

Enjoy your stay in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, a pastoral rural setting surrounded by vineyards and local wineries, minutes from Healdsburg's historic quaint downtown plaza. The cottage is 480 square feet with big windows, high ceilings and its own private entrance. There is parking right in front. It has a complete kitchen, living room and bathroom with a mosaic tile shower. Right across the way you can take a lovely walk or run alongside the vineyards or you can rent a bike to explore the beauty of the valley. If you enjoy hiking, seasonal kayaking or canoeing there are opportunities all around us to explore as well. Our property has multiple fruit trees and we will be happy to share whatever bounty is in season when you arrive. The water here is also clean spring fed and very tasty and the sky at night is full of stars! You can enjoy sitting in the front yard which is bordered by a dozen Redwood trees or you can picnic in our big back yard among the fruit trees. We also have 2 female dogs who are quite friendly if you'd like to meet them. We would be happy to welcome you to Sonoma County and insure that your stay here is enjoyable.
  • We had a great stay in Sonia’s cottage. The location was perfect - easily accessible to downtown Healdsburg and a quick drive to all of the wineries in Dry Creek. The place is set up well for cooking, spacious but cozy, and beautifully decorated. We’d come back!

    Dan2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sonia and Elliot are kind and conscientious hosts. They went above and beyond to accommodate us in their lovely cottage. I have been to Sonoma a few times but have always stayed in hotels. Staying right in wine country was a far superior experience. I loved all the surrounding trees and grape vines. The road is quiet, and I felt like we were in a secluded cabin in the woods, yet we were just a few minutes from downtown Headlsburg. This cottage is a real "find", and I would highly recommend the property.

  • We had such a wonderful stay at the Dry Creek Cottage! It was a delight for us to spend time in the Healdsburg area in a uniquely different way. Being in the valley lends itself to quiet mornings, lazy coffee, bird watching and less interaction with the general public. Staying in Dry Creek allows early access to the Dry Creek General Store (!) helps picnickers stock up on the coveted curry chicken salad for the day. (should not be missed.) Thanks Sonia and Elliot! We hope to be back soon!

  • Wonderful and private, a small cottage immediately along West Dry Creek Road (a cyclists paradise, if that is your thing). Well-appointed with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, pot-belly style fireplace, gas stove, apartment refrigerator, coffee machine, etc. Fruit, a bottle of wine and milk for your coffee are ready upon arrival. You feel like you have "gotten away" to someplace different and special. Sonia and Elliott are quintessential Sonoma...educated and worldly, down to earth and humble. A pleasure to spend time with, whether a moment in passing or engaged in longer conversation. They were very responsive throughout the reservation and check-in process.

  • Anyone looking for a great spot close to wineries and downtown Healdsburg should look here. My stay was perfect, it was clean and nicely decorated and was quiet and relaxing! I'd stay here on my next visit to Wine Country in a heartbeat!

    Matt2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sonia and Elliot's cottage was everything we thought it would be. The living space was more than just a nice place to be for a few days, we definitely could live there. It is attractive, practical, comfortable, and the location is fantastic. Lots of north California landscape everywhere you look. If you don't know the area, you are in the middle of wine country, with many wineries within walking distance of their home. It is peaceful yet just minutes by car to downtown Healdsburg with restaurants, tasting rooms, groceries, bike rentals, etc. The interior living space has lots of nice touches with interesting artwork and artifacts. The yard has some art pieces as well that make it a fantastic place to hang out when you are back from whatever you have been doing all day. Their 2 dogs were very entertaining as well, jumping on the trampoline in the back yard, something I haven't seen before. There is nothing I would have added to make the home more complete and comfortable. I have been to many airbnb's and this is at the top of my list.

    Frank2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Just a few minutes' drive to central Healdsburg, this quiet cottage welcomes with great eating, kitchen and seating areas; a nice bed alcove, and wonderful shower and bath set-up. Ample and convenient parking on the grounds of the property. It was wet and rainy when we were there, but outdoor areas are plentiful during better weather; and seating outdoors is great. Great outfitting of kitchen with gas stove and condiments/coffee/fruit, and complementary wine. Your privacy is respected, but our hosts were available for questions and provided great restaurant recommendations. Definitely a great stay, and hope to visit again.

    Joel2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We were thrilled when we pulled into the driveway it was so nice we were unsure if we were at the right place. We walked into an amazing little cottage with fresh fruit from their trees and a piece of chocolate. Everything was clean and comfortable and we couldn't have been happier.

You won't find a house with a better location. No neighbors right next door so you feel like you have a big piece of the River COMPLETELY to yourselves. It's rustic, homey and charming. Read the reviews and you'll see that everyone loves it here. Come, relax and forget about EVERYTHING :- ) I do not accept reservation requests without communicating with my guests first, so DO email me and wait for a reply before making a request, OK? Thank You !
The house really does have an AMAZING setting. 180 view of Russian River and no one to share it with but the occasional canoe paddling by. It's like having a big section of the River all to yourselves when you stay here! Very Private, as it is at the end of a short private road. You can literally throw a rock into the water from the deck. River access right from the house and it's ON my property. Note: Please do NOT make a Reservation Request until AFTER you and I have communicated a bit. I will not accept it, and it creates hassles. 2-stories, 1,400 square feet, redwood trees on either side AND growing up through the deck next to the hot tub (it is SO COOL!) with an amazing view of the Russian River. 2 miles from the Korbel Champagne Cellars and wineries are everywhere. 5 miles East of Guerneville with its fun shops & restaurants. 10 miles West of Santa Rosa, This is charming, rustic, cabin-style house is decorated with comfort and relaxation in mind and a few antiques thrown in for good measure. It’s spacious (2 Living Rooms) comfortable and very cozy. 4 Bedrooms. One on the main floor of the house, off the kitchen, with a twin bed and curtains instead of doors. It has a door directly to the downstairs bathroom. Perfect for a person who can't do stairs easily. The The 3 larger bedrooms (one is HUGE and has a fireplace - you'll have to draw straws :) are upstairs. 2 Full Bathrooms plus a Shower on the Huge Deck. Six-Person Hot Tub Good Wifi Charcoal AND Gas Barbecues to Choose From Very Well-Appointed Kitchen DVD player / Stereo Receiver / TV for watching movies. There is a drawer full of movies to choose from. No Cable-on purpose :) Fireplace in Master Bedroom and wood stove in downstairs Living Room. I supply the firewood for heat in the winter. I send guests a "House Tips" sheet with suggested things to do and places to eat. $200 cleaning fee. Sleeps 8, and I have an 8-person limit. If your party is a bit larger than that I would consider it for $25 more per night per person, but no more than 10 adults may stay at the house. Too much wear-and-tear and too much water use for the septic system to handle. Small children and babies excepted. NO large parties! Note: During the super busy months (July & August), I have a 4-night minimum stay policy if the stay includes a weekend. Or we can work out a higher nightly rate and you can stay fewer nights. 2-night stays are fine between Sunday and Thursday. In September things calm down quite a bit and I can start taking weekend-only bookings again.
I LOVE the fact that it's SO peaceful! I advise my guests to bring binoculars to watch the various birds - Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Ospreys, Hawks. Sometimes a River Otter or Turtle that are often seen from the deck. Sometimes a River Otter or seal is seen swimming by. And great BIG fish of some kind - Steelhead? Also, since the house is at the end of a private road, there are no cars driving by my house and the public is not allowed on our road. One thing to note: You will pass a house that belongso my caretaker. It's a "work in progress" as far as clearing out his accumulations, but he's a very nice person and very helpful to my guests when they need local info or a raft inflated :) I suggest that my guests consider him "local color".
  • Toni's place is an incredible getaway location along the Russian River. Between the deck that overlooks the river, the hot tub nestled into the red wood trees and the fire pit, this place can't be beat! We were even able to successfully float the river from Steelhead Beach to Toni's house! This house is such a cozy space, filled with lots of charm and perfect for groups. I would definitely stay here again! :)

    Jaime2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had 6 people staying here for 7 days and we had an absolutely amazing time. My relaxation was split between the deck, BBQing, hot-tubing and hanging out on the river. I could not have been more serene when we had to leave at the end. Guerneville is a short drive (10-15 minutes) and there is a Safeway there that has everything you need. Berry's Market has some of the essentials as well, but it doesn't have the selection. Toni was nice enough to stock tubes and floaties, which was great as some in our party forgot some. The river access is simple, but all you really need to get into a shaded part of the river with little current. Perfect for just just people watching everyone floating down the river. I would have slept on the deck if I could, it is large and peacefully covered by redwoods that shoot up through it to hundreds of feet in the air. The hot tub sits beneath them and really does a great job of setting the mood. There is plenty of space to sleep more than 6 people in the house, we had extra beds. We cooked at the house every day and night we were there, it was wonderful. There are plenty of dishes, cups and silverware for 8+ people, as well as all the cooking utensils you would need. For those who absolutely cannot disconnect, the wireless internet up there worked great. T-mobile didn't work at all, Verizon was perfectly clear. We can't wait to goback!

    Troy2013-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Toni's magical cabin. It was rustic and simple and beautiful way to ring in the new year. Toni was always respectful and responsive. Would highly recommend the cabin and thank you Toni for the beautiful home!

    Jessica2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Toni was great and very responsive/helpful. Her place is charming and secluded. We just loved the vibe and the location is absolutely perfect for people who want a relaxing time with a great views.

    Rachel2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • The short verdict: Loved it ! All 6 of us thought the location was so peaceful and perfect, the home was warm, instructions were great. Can't wait to come back. The long verdict: I love that Toni shares her delightful cabin in the woods - Many rentals in Russian river are "managed" but that takes away from the true spirit of airbnb. Toni communicated every detail and made the whole process so easy. I was a little nervous with 6 of us and our dogs as well, but everything was warm, charming and the location is so amazing. The night sky, the adorable, simple and well-equipped kitchen, the access to river, easy Wifi, lots of blankets, the amazing deck - we spent most of our time there, the outdoor shower, the fireplace.. I could go on and on. Toni was prompt at answering questions and just gracious all around. As an airbnb host myself, I know this takes work. We all appreciate it and will definitely be back next summer or earlier perhaps

    Rahul2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Tonis for a business trip! She was so fast in communication and the house is truly a wonder on the Russian river. I would definitely stay again!

    Demitri2018-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Riverfront is a great little place with a spectacular view of the Russian River. Toni is a wonderful host and we look forward to returning to Riverfront. Be aware that Riverfront is heated with a big Wood Stove during winter. This adds to the atmosphere and worked fine during our stay in mid November.

    Mikkel Hippe2013-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house was even more beautiful than the listing. It was tucked away in the back end of a section of woods, giving the whole experience the full effect of an escape from the city, and the host-provided directions were very much appreciated. There were several bedrooms upstairs with an additional downstairs, and more than enough comfortable sleeping space. The wood stove worked very well (when we finally figured out how to keep a fire going in it) and gave the whole house a cozy feel. There was also a fireplace in the master bedroom upstairs, which also overlooked the river. The hot tub worked well, and the grill's gas tank was already full. The house is well taken care of, and felt welcoming upon entry. There was also a thorough list of restaurants, places to visit, and other things to do in the area in the house book, which was so thorough I couldn't finish reading it. Plus, the trees growing through the deck and surrounding the house gave it a treehouse feeling (which is what I call it now). We would absolutely stay at The Treehouse again.

  • We enjoyed our brief two-night stay at Blake's Garden House. It's a full 2-br house with delightful front and back gardens, and even some chickens a bit further back---far enough that there are no odors or sounds to bother you, but it adds a charming rustic touch. Blake and Anita live next door and it's obvious they lovingly tend the place, but they also give you your privacy. It's located toward the edge of Healdsburg in the heart of Sonoma's wine country, an ideal home base for a wine country tour in the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valleys. Blake and Anita welcomed us with a dozen eggs fresh from their chickens and a bottle of wine made from their backyard grapes. It's those thoughtful personal touches that make one feel welcome and instantly at home. We'd gladly stay here again.

    Bradley2018-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage in a great location - very close to downtown Healdsburg and all the area wineries. Very nice 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and great patio area. Extra touches as mentioned before, with fresh flowers, fresh eggs and local wine. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and hope we can soon.

    Nancy2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place situated amongst the vineyards of Healdsburg. Blake made us feel welcome by providing lovely garden flowers in every room, fresh local eggs, and home made Grenache wine! Beds very comfortable, plenty of space, and a lovely back yard. Would stay again.

    Joy2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Anita was there to welcome us & allowed us to move in our bags before their normal move in time. We loved the tomatoes, eggs, apples etc from their farm. Especially liked being able to sit in the back yard

    Ruth2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet comfortable cottage! I will definitely be back. It had everything to make our trip complete.

    Sue2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was cute, and very cosy, everything was perfect. It was a great house for 2 couples or a small family.

    Emily2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Anita immediately greeted our party of 4 when we arrived. She showed us around the house and gave us our space. The garden house is charming and the name of it fits perfectly as there is a beautiful garden in the back. Hops growing on lines, grenache grapes, fig trees, apple trees. Anita let us pick any fruits we wanted. She provided us with a bottle of their wine from 2008, fresh eggs, and home-made jam. What a treat! You don't get that service in a hotel... The house, along with the furniture and beds may be a little dated but I had no problems at all with it. Overall, great experience and another reason to keep using AirBNB and spreading the word about great hosts and their places!

    Bryan2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in this cozy, beautiful garden house. We were able to walk into town to do some wine tastings, and then sit outside in the lovely garden to enjoy the wine in the evening. It is an easy walk, and we were also able to grab uber very easily to haul our wine back. It was the perfect location and very cozy. The fresh eggs and homemade wine left by the hosts were a plus, too! Would highly recommend. Great location and caring hosts.

  • We had an amazing time at pony ranch! Laurie was so sweet and the accommodations were perfect! The bed was super comfy, she opened the pool for us any time we asked and she had great suggestions for restaurants and wineries close by. Absolutely perfect, quiet place for relaxation.

    Kaitlin2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie's property is in such a wonderful corner of the world. Quiet, beautiful views in a secluded vineyard, with great room facilities including a great fireplace for the winter. The tasting arranged at Mazocco was a particular highlight, and we were treated to the VIP tasting which introduced us to a new favourites. Very highly recommended.

    Danielle2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The guest house is charming and warm. The location also can't be beat! Right in the middle of the Dry Creek. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    Emilie2015-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a dream! Absolutely beautiful. The views are incredible as you are staying on an actual vineyard. So relaxing and the perfect place for a couple visiting Sonoma County. Laurie was out of town while we were visiting but left very clear instructions and great recommendations for our stay. Her house sitter was so great too - very welcoming! I would highly recommend this place!

    Kelsey2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a spot to rejuvenate! The setting is very relaxing. The guest cottage is very clean and comfortable, the bed plush. Enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting at Mazzocco winery where Pony Ranch supplies grapes. Friendly and responsive communication with the host before the trip. I would stay here again.

    Karen2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Neat, cozy place nestled in a nice spot close to town and surrounded by vineyards and great tasting wineries.

    Rebecca2018-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie and Robert's place is a gem! Quiet and secluded as well as being close to Healdsburg and wineries. Well-priced, comfortable and with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Laurie communicated well from the start and although we didn't need anything additional for our stay, she definitely let us know that she was available if we required anything else. A perfect place to have a nice and quiet retreat. If you are anything like us and spend all day at tasting rooms, it is very conducive to our 8:30 bedtime! We will definitely be back and encourage our friends to visit.

    Melissa2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The room was lovely. We were close to lots of wineries, but I definitely suggest people rent a car since we had no luck with ubers. There was a taxi service we used, though, so that's a choice. Laurie was a great host and was even kind enough to loan me her iron one day. There is a small table with two chairs outside the room, and I definitely suggest enjoying a lunch or glass of wine there like we did. I recommend the room!

Enjoy the magic of the redwoods and the beauty of the Russian River in our rustic hilltop cabin. Come for fresh air, comfort, quiet, charm, simple and beautiful design, and river time.
“Camp Noon" was built over 100 years ago. We fell in love at first sight and have spent the last year restoring it to preserve its historic features and renovating for some modern comforts and design. Unlike your typical Russian River getaway, our property is in a clearing so we have lots of sun overhead. We named it Camp Noon to evoke summer days when the sun is high and there's plenty of time. It's a gem! The cabin is a work in progress, with a blend of new features: a Scandinavian wood burning stove, skylights, Heath tile in the bathroom, modern white walls, brand new beds and bedding, and older features like the raw redwood floors, board and batten paneling, 50s formica countertops and a huge claw foot tub. Please note that the cabin is very old -- single wall construction, gaps in the floorboards -- our guests should expect a rustic experience. The front room of the house is a large, open space, with cathedral ceilings, and three skylights that illuminate the house during the day and allow for stargazing at night. The wood burning stove warms up the room in the winter time, and you'll find plenty of places to curl up and relax. We have a record player, records, books, and games to keep you entertained. The cabin has two bedrooms, each one with a new full size bed that sleeps 2. There's room for one more in the living room on the daybed. Each bedroom has soft linens and cozy blankets. The bathroom has a large beautiful claw foot tub and newly installed Heath tiles. The kitchen is a wonderful place for everyone to congregate, with three large picture windows that look out onto the redwoods. Enjoy lively meals at the large farm table. We have an electric stove and a brand new refrigerator and toaster oven. The back yard is great for bbque's, with comfy chairs and a hammock. We have fairy lights set up in the back, perfect lighting for an evening outside. The front porch is the crown jewel. Swing on the hammock, sip morning coffee, read on the couch, and listen to the crickets on summer nights. The porch has a treehouse feel. We also have stacks of fluffy blankets to curl up with if it's cold out. The cabin is fully stocked with eco-friendly, good-smelling shampoo, soaps, dish soap, hand soap, candles, and bath salts. We love this stuff and if you do too, you'll be happy. We also have toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, spare light bulbs, q-tips, trash bags, and sponges. The bath towels are soft and new and 100% cotton. Same with the sheets on the beds. Please bring your own beach towels. FALL The Russian River is magical in the fall. The crowds thin and it's very peaceful. The morning fog is fresh and the forest is quiet. The river is still navigable by canoe through October and during the week you might have the whole stretch of it to yourselves. The nights are cooler -- perfect for building a fire in the wood burning stove, with the firewood we provide. SUMMER The summer days can range in temperature from 75-100 degrees, with nights much cooler, in the 50s and 60s. While the beach in Summerhome Park is exclusive (members-only), there are 3 public beaches within a mile of the cabin: Mother's Beach, Steelhead Beach, and Sunset Beach. We provide rafts, a beach umbrella, and a 1-person kayak for our guests. WINTER In the winter, the neighborhood is very quiet. If you're seeking solitude in the redwoods, you'll find it here. The forest can be chilly, damp, and foggy but the cabin is equipped to keep you warm: ***WE HAVE HEAT*** -- a brand new, high-efficiency furnace that warms the cabin. The cabin is very old, uninsulated and definitely drafty but we try to provide amenities to keep you cozy. Winter rates are lower because of the cold weather. SPRING The forest air is fresh and rejuvenating, the neighborhood is quiet, and the river is still wild from winter. You probably won't be able to swim in the river until the early summer, but it can still be enjoyed from the shore. vity! You are welcome to eat and drink at The Lodge on the river. The beach! Camp Noon is just a 5 minute drive to Mother's Beach, a bit further to Sunset Beach, and about 20 mins to Steelhead Disclaimer: The place is a hundred years old and the renovation is still a work-in-progress, so there are still some quirks and rough edges: The wood floors are raw and have been through a lot, some of the windows stick, and the kitchen floor has original laminate from the 40s. If things like that sound like "rustic charm," this house is for you, if they sound like offensive hazards, probably not. The cabin isn’t necessarily kid-friendly but many families have made it work by being vigilant with little ones.
Although Sonoma County has grown up around it, this neighborhood is tucked into the woods, with a nostalgic summer-camp feeling. The weekdays and the off season are very peaceful.
  • Wir haben uns sofort in das Haus verliebt! Etwas ganz besonderes und jederzeit zu empfehlen! Danke an Lauren und Aylin für dieses tolle Angebot und dem wir vier herrlich Tage gewohnt haben!

    Julian2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time at Camp Noon. We came to relax and celebrate a birthday. Everything was near picture perfect. Thank you Lauren and Aylin for creating such a magical place.

  • Amazing! Camp noon was perfect for my birthday Christmas getaway. Relaxing, quiet, and lovely. From listening to a variety of records unknown to us, sitting by the cozy fire, or cooking up a storm in the retro kitchen- this cabin is perfect. Also was the cleanest cabin we have ever seen! Literally immaculate. Can't wait for summer to come so we can enjoy it again!

  • Cottage was really fun to stay at. Very clean and organized. My friends and I relaxed had a few beers and listened to vinyl records on vintage phonograph in the living room. If you want to get away from it all I highly recommend this

    Ron2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a wonderful long weekend at Camp Noon! Our kids had a blast playing in the backyard and on the porch, and running back and forth to the river. The whole Summerhome Park neighborhood was festive and friendly as it was the 4th of July. They even had swim races, patriotic music and free hot dogs down on the beach. An idyllic summertime family vacation for all. Thank you!

  • This cabin is a little gem ! We Had a wonderful weekend , the house look exactly like the pics on airbnb , the 2 private beaches are very nice . Would like to come back to camp noon every weekend if I could ;-)

  • Adorable cabin with a beautiful, quiet location just outside of Healdsburg proper. As others said, the pictures don't do the property justice -- you can't capture this space's charm in photographs, and even if you could, the cabin itself has been upgraded since these pictures were taken. Kate was a fantastic hostess and the entire process was super easy.

  • Kate's place on the Russian River is beautiful. We couldn't have been happier. Her fully restored 1920's cabin overlooking Sonoma and the Russian River is a peaceful retreat in wine country, just up the hill from Healdsburg. The property is just gorgeous! Kate was a wonderful host and we can't wait to come back!

  • This place is perfect for a romantic getaway! Cozy and warm, the great lighting makes this cabin the perfect place for reading and relaxing. Kate is a great host. We look forward to when we are able to return.

  • Great house beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and with a large deck for hanging out. Great location.. a short walk to the Rio Nido Roadhouse (community pool and live music Saturday nights), a dog park, a children's playground, a rope swing on the river, and Pee Wee miniature golf. One note: there is no dining table inside. There is a kitchen island with stools for 4-6 to sit on for eating. Outside there are two picnic tables, which is where we ate.

  • Beautiful property in the redwoods. Really nice, recently-redone place. All relatively new appliances, furniture, beds, etc. Place was very clean as well as there is a devoted housekeeper for this property. Neighborhood is cool and quirky with a "unique" roadhouse bar just a short walk away. I would absolutely come back here for another rejuvenating weekend away from the chaos of the CIty.

    Graham2012-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • When we walked in the door, we were blown away by how big and open the living room and kitchen area are! The living room has a cozy sofa, and all the countertops and tables are modern, clean, and beautiful. The shower is also awesome. There were only two of us this weekend, but there are three bedrooms in the house, and we'll come with more people next time and hang out on the roof deck when it's warmer. We cooked a big brunch and dinners both days and spent our time exploring during the day. The Rio Nido Roadhouse is a block away, so be prepared to rock on Saturday nights. We opened the windows, and even popped in for the last few songs of the final set. Do note the house is not in downtown Guerneville. It's a quick drive, but it would be a long walk. Love the area, loved the house, we'll be back!

  • We had a good stay. Tried contacting Shannon and she didn't return our message regarding extra parking. Overall it's a nice and comfortable house.

  • Johnny’s place was exactly as described. Super clean, updated, and centrally located in Sonoma/Russian River area. Great communication and would highly recommend Johnny’s place for any visitors. Perfect for groups or families.

    Bobbi2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This house was amazing. We had a seven person group (all fairly large guys) and there was more than enough room. The interior has obviously been remodeled somewhat recently as all the accommodations are much more modern than the quaint cottage-like exterior look. The kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you'd need and the outdoor deck (with a good size BBQ) was a great addition as it is shadowed by some giant beautiful trees. But even with the "secluded" woodsy feel this house is an easy and short walk to the Russian river, as well as a local bar/restaurant that had some great live music going one night. Johnny was a great host, and though I never met him he provided an extra air mattress for no additional charge (granted the size of our group). He also supplied the number of a neighbor should any problems arise. She was also incredibly helpful, for when we locked ourselves out she provided entry back in to the house no problem Overall I give this rental a five out of five. It's got it all, space, location, amenities, and helpful caretakers to boot!

    Robert2013-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at the house for 4th of July weekend. Everything was as expected.

Large luxury estate loft in Gracianna Winery's vineyard on Westside Road's Miracle Mile in Healdsburg includes equipped kitchen. House truth: Vineyard machines may be in working overnight with lights & disruptive noises, especially during harvest. While it adds to the charm, it can be difficult to sleep. We are a County permitted agricultural farm stay requiring that we offer guests opportunities to learn about our agriculture operation.
A Two for One (2/1) wine tasting is included in your stay at the Tasting Room between 11AM and 5PM daily. ($25 value) Has kitchen with cooking utensils and full size refrigerator and stove. You can walk to the edge of the Russian River in one minute and have coffee on the big deck at the back of the vineyard in the morning fog. (The deck does not overlook the river and there is no river access.) There are picnic tables out there that you can enjoy. From your patio you will overlook the Mercedes Riverblock pinot noir vineyard on the Miracle Mile of Westside Road. More about the location: At 6914 Westside Road, only seven miles southwest of downtown Healdsburg, Gracianna is one of the Russian River Valley's most intimate family-owned and operated wine estates. Gracianna is on what the locals call "The Miracle Mile" and is owned by the Amadors of Sonoma County. Gracianna Winery is in the midst of natural beauty, family-designed estate buildings and gardens, a storied history, and a reputation for classic award-winning Russian River wines that reflect our craftsman approach. Our unique terroir and ideal Russian River Valley micro-climate support our farming practices. The Amador's estate pinot noir vineyard, the Mercedes Riverblock, is planted to the pinot clone 115 from Dijon, France right on the banks of the Russian River. We believe that Gracianna symbolizes everyday gratitudes and graciousness in entertaining, because we believe that successfully hosting a special meal with friends and family is an everlasting circle that fills our lives.
Healdsburg has some of the finest restaurants in Sonoma County. In or near the Square, We recommend Guiso - Latin Fusion food, The Dry Creek Kitchen, Valette, Campo Fina, Baci and Willi's Seafood are a few we recommend. Feeling adventurous? • The farm is a family-run business and the personal touch is evident throughout. You will wake up to the sun rising over the Gracianna vineyards; wine for people who have something to be grateful for. The farm is an inspiring space to relax, cook in the quintessential kitchen and star gaze with local wine in hand. The experience contributed to the most memorable part of our trip to California.

  • What a wonderful stay at Gracianna with Trini and his staff. They made us so welcome. We felt like extended family during our stay. The studio above the tasting room is spacious with free reign to explore the property. The winery staff is very accommodating with tasting, recommendations of wineries and activities to do in the area and getting reservations at sought after restaurants in town. We will definitely be back!

    Sara2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to experience Pinot country, then stay here. We were right in the middle of the "miracle mile." The wine at Gracianna is amazing and we were in between a bunch of other rock star vineyards. The accommodations were spectacular and we would take this experience over any other in the Sonoma/Healdsburg area. The unit was spacious, clean, well-decorated and has amazing views. The owner was very helpful, generous and recommended amazing places to visit.

    Jack2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The space is as lovely as you might imagine it would be. The setting/scenery is just beautiful. The large, sparkly clean studio had everything I needed including a full kitchen. Lisa and Trini were gracious and lovely hosts. The tasting room employees were very friendly as well. Their local tips were spot on. The location of their winery is close to other vineyards a plenty and just a short drive to Healdsburg. I went on a lovely hike nearby and even took a swim in the Russian river. I hope I have occasion to stay here again!

The cabin is very clean and comfortable on 1 acre filled with 180' majestic fir trees, landscaped with rhododendrons and azaleas that bloom from Jan to June, a winter waterfall nestled against the back side of the canyon, and a guarantee of privacy and peace.
The small town of Forestville is packed with interesting shops and eateries. The Russian River is a 10 minute walk offering sunning/canoeing/and fishing. The ocean is 40 minutes away with many small towns of interest along the way and wineries everywhere. San Francisco is 1 1/2 hr., San Francisco Intl. and Oakland airports are 2 hrs. depending on traffic, and Santa Rosa airport - 30 min.
  • Sherri is a very sweet lady and cares about the travelers who come through her cozy cabin! Would recommend!

    John2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely little cabin adjoining the host's (Sherri) home. Sherri was very friendly and greeted us on our arrival. She even provided a few snacks in the cabin (fwhich we greedily ate on the first day). The cabin was the perfect size for a few days away from home and even had a bathroom large enough to shower and change in. A small kitchen and dining table were very pleasant as we ate many of our meals in the cabin. The bed was comfy and there were numerous throws to cuddle in. Although it rained our entire stay, the outside of the property was very pretty and there was even a little waterfall around the back. Great place, great host, would definitely stay again.

    Meagan2016-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip was to celebrate at a first baby shower of our niece and her husband. We absolutely loved Sherri's place in the woods. It is every bit as beautiful and charming as the pictures- even better. Very quite and peaceful! Sherri is an awesome host. She supported our needs and took wonderful care of us on our trip. The cabin was fabulously laid out and every aspect from the bed, to the mini-kitchen to the bathroom and shower were first class. Thank you, Sherri, for our wonderful stay in Forestville!! We hope to get back soon.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Sherri's cozy cabin! It was warm and comfortable and she had snacks and drinks for us and all the amenities we could need. It was a beautiful sanctuary in the Russian River Valley. We would definitely recommend this to anyone, and we'd definitely stay again. :)

  • Sheri's place is amazing! Sheri is amazing. I had an amazing relaxing time.

    Dennis2017-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri's cabin is a gem! My boyfriend and I stayed three nights while attending wedding festivities in Sebastopol. While you'll be tucked away at Sherri's quiet retreat, you'll also be in close driving distance of the river, yummy restaurants (I'm a forever Forestville fan), and so much wine. It was a terrific trip and Sherri is a thoughtful and accommodating host. I especially appreciated her navigation help. We'll be back.

    Jackie2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cozy cottage in the woods. Quiet, secluded and charming. Sherri is lovely, hospitable and friendly.

    Mark2016-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very welcome and comfortable after a long day of travel. The space was clean and cozy with lots of beautiful plants and flowers in the outdoor area. Because we were arriving late, Sherri was kind enough to have food available to us. She also had detailed information about places to eat and see during our stay. Sherri went above and beyond to help us have a great experience. We highly recommend this lovely little cabin!

Private & serene with private beach; gorgeous, sunny, modern, rustic, cozy, magical and lush 1.5 acre riverfront property on the Russian River, with panoramic river view, boats, hot tub, hammocks, fireplace, serious kitchen, fruit trees/vines & wildlife. Perfectly situated for Healdsburg visits. 15 seconds from the river. 5 min from the best Russian River Valley AVA Appellation wineries. 20 miles from the spectacular Sonoma Coast. Only 60 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge. Dog friendly too.
This gorgeous property is located right on the Russian River and is very close to legendary wineries, redwoods and Sonoma coast beaches. The property has a REAL BEACH (sand and pebbles) which is quite rare for the Russian River. Also very rare: The property is large, private and very sunny. The house has real character, simplicity and style. It is small and cozy (but has a serious kitchen and a huge tile shower). The neighborhood and locals are funky/colorful/eccentric, which is not rare at all around here. Most guests describe the property as magical. The house is beautiful, light, airy, modern, rustic, simple, minimal and serene. The decks are perfect for sunning, outdoor dining and drinking. The beach is perfect for swimming, playing, boating (kayaks and canoe provided) and just soaking in the sun, river and scenery. The yard is lush and private and dotted with fruit trees, a tiny vineyard, a spa, hammocks and a fire pit. This is a perfect romantic getaway or a place to indulge yourself while also thrilling your kids and dog (bring your own-neither provided). Inside the house, you'll find redwood ceilings, fir floors, skylights and dozens of wood windows (all with gorgeous views, including the river). The house has almost every single detail covered. It is appointed and equipped like a home, not like a hotel or typical vacation rental. The house has: striking mid century furniture, a very comfy queen bed and a fully equipped serious kitchen w/gas cooktop. There is also a wood burning stove, serious stereo (connect wirelessly with your devices), 50Mbs WiFi, TV/DVD and gas heat. Please note that bookings cannot start or end on a Saturday (this breaks up the weekend). Also note that summer bookings (July-September) are typically 1 week long. Exceptions will be made on a case to case basis- Feel free to ask... The house opens to two decks (furnished with gas grill, dining tables and lounge chairs) overlooking the yard, the river and beyond. Moving outside, the house is framed by fruit trees (plum, apple, fig, pear, orange, etc), olive trees, grape vines and bay laurels. Adjacent to the house is a fire pit and a tomato/herb garden. Moving towards the river, the orderly yard gives way to fertile riparian habitat- gently rolling grassy meadow with native willow/elder/maple/cottonwood trees surrounding a shaded hammock. Descend a little further and the sandy riverbank draped with willows and wild CA grapes leads to a sand and pebble beach carved by the waters of the glorious Russian River. The beach frontage is very deep and is 135 feet long. It has gorgeous views up and down the redwood-lined river as well as a striking view of the Hacienda Bridge. The river is shallow and calm in the summer (perfect for boating or tubing- canoe, kayaks and innertubes provided), but in the winter, the river grows immensely (depth and width) and dramatically thunders to life. I named the beach after the first white guy to settle this neighborhood. His name was Cosmo (not riverfront sanctuary). The Russian River is home to ducks, great blue herons, osprey, hawks, foxes, river otters, deer, mountain lions and and wild turkeys as well as salmon, steelhead, bass, sturgeon, hippies, hipsters and hillbillies. The property itself is very sunny (no redwoods), yet has shade trees (with hammocks) for comfort in the summer. The air is scented with bay leaves, lemon balm, fennel, mugwort, redwood and orange blossoms. Summer is hot and lush, but the water in the river is the perfect temperature for cooling. On winter mornings the sun rises through river fog wisping through the hills and between the redwoods, which typically burns off by 10am leaving sun and clear skies. The nights are cool all year round, which is why the local wine is so good (and so necessary!). The night skies are dark and dotted with stars- unless there is a full moon, which bathes the river in light and makes you wonder why you would ever want to be anywhere else (note -added lunar taxes & surcharges are applicable). Amenities: ~ THE BEACH! ~ THE RIVER! ~ 1.5 acre property ~ Hot tub ~ Wood burning stove ~ Gourmet kitchen ~ Gas cooktop ~ Gas grill ~ Fire Pit ~ Canoe and 2 Kayaks ~ Hammocks ~ Dozens of windows and skylights ~ Gas Heat ~ Washer/Dryer ~ Fruit trees/grape vines ~ Tomato & herb garden ~ Dog friendly ~ 2 decks with shaded dining Table ~ Very sunny ~ River and Bridge views ~ 50 Mbs WiFi ~ Orthopedic Queen bed ~ Super comfy/supportive Sofa bed ~ Queen airbed ~ Luxurious linens ~ TV/DVD ~ Audiophile Stereo with Apple Airplay and CD and cassette players.
A block away (downstream) is Sunset Beach State Park with several beaches and trails. Hacienda beach is 200 feet upstream. 2 blocks upstream is the infamous Mom's Beach. A block away in yet another direction (we have 4 of them) is Westside Road (a Wine Country landmark), which follows the river and meanders through scores of some of the best wineries in the world (ending up in wonderful Healdsburg). Away from the river are mysterious majestic redwood covered hills that eventually lead to the dramatic rocky Sonoma coast with its beautiful and dramatic rocky cliffs and beaches. The neighborhood has unusual diversity: retired hippies, hillbillies, hipsters, new agers, families, craftspeople, generations of Italians, tweakers, workers and coders. Don't be scared off by any of the above- we all seem to get along quite well (except the crazy attorney with the foul mouth across the street). The area has great restaurants, farms, wineries and artisan food makers of all sorts. The scenery in Sonoma county is unprecedented- redwoods, lakes, rolling hills, lagunas and especially the river and the coast. See the House Manual for specific recommendations for places to visit, shop, eat and drink. Also check out (website hidden) pages of 101 Things To Do in Sonoma County and Russian River Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Jay's place. The house is clean, cozy and peaceful, a perfect size for two people. We loved enjoying meals on the deck overlooking the lush yard and garden. The place is also well situated in Russian River, striking distance from Sebastopol, Healdsburg, Guerneville, and many small towns which were fun to explore. Jay was helpful and responsive throughout the process. Would love to have stayed longer!

    Melissa2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's property is tucked away on a tiny street and nestled in lush foliage. It was a very relaxing and private retreat. Sitting in the hot tub and staring at the moon and the dense forest is the perfect way to end any evening. The kitchen was stocked with every last thing you could need and the home's location is perfect for exploring wine country or the small towns around the Russian River.

    Scott2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very special little designer cabin on the river! The open kitchen was a pleasure to use, great decks, very private with trees, and its own river access. Jay has great taste and his space reflects that; just the right amount of unique pieces around the house. My only tip would be that the River Road Hwy. and bridge are close by and traffic can be heard from the property...buy i am particularly sensitive to that so unless you know you are, don't worry about it. Overall, Jay was great and his remodeled cabin is too! Totally inspired to get my own slice of heaven up there one day and definitely come back in the Summer for more swim time.

    Conor2014-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's place is cozy, quiet and very thoughtfully cared for. Honestly, it's what I wish all Airbnbs were. It has its own unique character and quirks, but it's comfortable to be a guest in. The reviews all basically nail it: if you can manage a reservation, take it!

    Galen2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, cozy and right on the river. Had such a perfect stay and we can't wait to go back! Thank you Jay!!!

  • Jay's place is the only Airbnb I've visited twice - and we hope to return! It's a perfect getaway in wine country, close to Guerneville and a lot of great wineries, yet also feels incredibly secluded.

  • Great place and an accurate description. Jay was flexible and responsive. This was our second stay and enjoyed it as much as the first.

  • A wonderful house along the Russian River. Jay's house is a small oasis in an amazing part of Sonoma Coast. I took my mother and girlfriend here for Mother's Day festivities and it could not have been a better stay. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. The house is obviously done by Jay with his artistic eye and professional design.

Many families, retirees, and vacationers around town! Forestville is very neighborly. Dining options in Forestville include burgers, pizza, deli delights, Italian, Mexican, and more. Just outside of town, the Michelin-starred Farmhouse Inn & Restaurant offers superb service, a fantastic wine list and a seasonal farm-to-table gourmet menu. Recreational opportunities abound. Access the Russian River at Sunset Beach River Park, Steelhead Beach, and Mom’s Beach (aka Forestville River Access). Explore the waterway with help from Burke’s Canoe Trips, which offers canoes, kayaks, shuttle service and riverside campsites.
  • Dezzy's place is a quaint cottage in a peaceful setting. It is rustic but very charming. While in a neighborhood, it was very quiet. The ad says no street parking but she does provide dedicated parking right in front of her home. She was very quick to answer any questions or needs. The bed was very comfortable. Only downside for some may be going without cable tv; but there is a supply of movies. We look forward to visiting again ...Much nicer than many hotels we stayed at. Thanks Dezzy

  • Lovely quaint cottage! Close to Guerneville and Forestville. Beautiful setting, the cottage was clean and simple.

  • Clean and comfortable, nice to have a full kitchen w basics and love the river access

    Rachel2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dezzy's cottage is very well-equipped, and is clean, cozy, and private. I loved how she included a beach bag with towels and sunscreen for trips down to the river beach nearby! Also, the booklet provided some very good recommendations about local site-seeing. Overall, great value for money.

    Emily2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very close walking distance to the river and close to everything. Very affordable. Probably best for just one or two people.

    Megan2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Dezzy’s cottage is small without feeling cramped, and meticulously clean without feeling sparse. The location is unbeatable, and she provides many suggestions for activities and places to go in the area. It’s a dreamy, quaint cottage that’s perfect for a getaway.

    Vivian2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is cute, comfortable, and convenient! It was exactly what I needed for my stay for the weekend and was centrally located between the places I was going. Check in and out was very simple and quick. I will definitely book again if I am back in the area.

    Melanie2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Small cozy cottage and it is quaint!!. Great experience, river is walking distance. If you want to spend a night or two around Russian river, it is not a bad option expecially if you are a couple or small family

  • We had a friend's reunion of sorts for a wedding in Healdsburg. This house was an idyllic setting for cooking, wine tasting (and drinking), and simply taking the beautiful aesthetics and scenery. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

    Michael2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • A great house! Perfect for families with a great yard and garden. A short drive away from Healdsburg as well, which is a lovely little town. We highly recommend this place!

  • Amazing house and great location! Wonderful hospitality - really quick responses and super helpful hosts.

    Mary2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was top-notch! A beautiful home with great character in a fantastic location. We had an excellent time cooking, eating, playing games, and enjoying wine country. Mike facilitates everything with ease and provides a helpful welcome doc which covers all the essentials.

  • Great location for our family wine trip. Beautiful views!

    Mary2018-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely home! Beautiful scenic location, lots of areas to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The garden is very impressive as well. Not too far of a drive to really great restaurants as well.

    Keeli2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's house is on a perfectly maintained lot. Yes, there is a jacuzzi and a exercise pool, but wandering around the grounds was something special. Lots of little alcoves to explore, relax, and enjoy. The house is eclectic, with decorations that came out of the 50's and earlier. Clean, well-stocked and, most importantly, in a BEAUTIFUL stretch of wine country.

    Nithin2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very pretty and you will find everything you need inside including a very well equipped kitchen. Outside is a beautiful yard with many terraces, a hot tub and a small pool. The yard also had a garden that had an abundance of fruit and vegetables and herbs that we were welcome to use.

Imagine yourself relaxing in this lovely private rental approximately 1 mile from downtown Healdsburg. The property has a flourishing garden available for your picking pleasure while the veggies and fruit are in season. If you are so inclined, your fresh produce can be prepared in the completely furnished kitchen and enjoyed on the outside patio tables available for your dining experience. If cooking is not your forte, the number of local restaurants feature some of the top notch chefs in the area. The downtown square is within walking or bicycling distance with two available cruisers on site for your use. The queen size bed and comfortable living room will be a welcome relief after a long day of wine tasting in the region. If you can not enjoy this wonderful area without your furry companion, this is a dog friendly studio with a large fenced area so Fido will be as comfortable as you are in your new home away from home. If the grapes allow, the home owner would love to share a glass of wine and talk about his second generation vineyard management experience in Sonoma County. Besides the 80+ wineries in renowned Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Wine Valleys, the Healdsburg community is also known for its antiques, natural beauty, and many fesitvals. Location is the key element in this getaway with San Francisco a mere 60 miles away, the Pacific Ocean a close 30 miles, and the Redwood State Park visited within 20 minutes. Popular weekends for the cottage include Winter Wine Land, Barrel Tasting Weekends, Dry Creek Passport Weekend, Taste of Alexander Valley, and Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
  • We really loved our weekend at Erin and Tom's place. The cottage itself is really cute, had everything we needed and is located very close to downtown Healdsburg. We also loved how dog friendly it was. My dog loved playing with Erin and Tom's adorable labs and enjoyed sniffing around the huge yard. We look forward to coming back soon!

    Priya2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • a lovely spot a bit off the beaten path, but also close to town. Lot's of outdoor space to have breakfast, watch a sunset or sip wine from the days tastings. The actual host was not there this time, but gave us really detailed and up to date advice about restaurants, wineries and other local adventures.

    Vadan2018-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time in Erin and Tom's cottage! It was close enough for us to walk into town each day, which was really convenient. We also loved that it was dog friendly, so our dog was able to spend the weekend running around with their two dogs. We'll definitely be back the next time that we go to Healdsburg.

    Kate2014-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent four nights at Erin and Tom's amazing cottage following our wedding in mid-October. It was the perfect retreat, and just what we needed following the stress of the previous weeks! The cottage is within easy driving/biking/walking distance of central Healdsburg (so many shops and restaurants!), and a great jumping off point for Dry Creek and Russian River wineries. We had a blast seeing the sights--and we enjoyed returning to our home-away-from-home at the end of each day. The cottage had plenty of privacy, but it was also nice running into Tom or hanging out on the deck with Moose, the sweetest Lab, and the resident Siamese. We loved watching the chickens and soaking up the bucolic surroundings. We would recommend this place highly to anyone, especially those who want a laid-back retreat with excellent proximity to all the Healdsburg area has to offer.

    Rachel2014-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing location, people, and amenities! Tucked in the south side of Healdsburg but still easily bikeable to downtown. We rode provided cruisers, made breakfast from their fresh tomatoes and eggs, tasted their vineyard wines, and enjoyed the view of the vines. Tom and Erin are great hosts and we'd love to return the next time we make it out to wine country.

    Marta2015-09-04T00:00:00Z

    Eve2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Erin's cottage in Healdsburg. Very quiet yet not far from the main city square. Dog is adorable. Nice garden. Cottage is cozy and comfortable perfect for 2 people. We definitely want to go back.

    Tsvetan2012-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was exactly what is pictured. Its conveniently minutes away from downtown while located in a country setting. Erin and Tom were very welcoming, informative and down to earth hosts. Moose and Hurley, their labs, were a well behaved and a blast to play with.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sean's place. He has the most massive and comfortable bed I slept on in awhile and received the best nights sleep. The place was extremely clean and easy to get to. Great place to stay! I wish I would have had more time to spend there and utilize the bikes he provides to go to one of the local wineries or breweries.

    Rachel2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was so easy! A very quiet place right off the freeway

    Jimi2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cute studio with new and modern kitchen and bathroom. Feels like home. Very easy to find near to 101 and easy to get to and from with our car. Windsor has some great wineries to try out.

    Mirjam2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's place was kept very nice, very cute inside and quality finishes. Felt like a real home and felt very comfortable. The bed was really comfy as were the pillows, and again everything was pretty high quality. Very nice place on the inside. Unfortunately, the AC did not work. Very easy check-in process, just put a code in, it was great. Very professional and great to have a quick and easy check-in process. On the outside- just be aware the place is basically on a big gravel lot, feels less like a home-site and more like a commercial RV storage lot or something- though Sean's pictures are pretty honest and you should already be aware of that when you book the place! If you look for other bookings you can see he books an RV or two there, as well as another unit there. Again, we were very happy in our unit it was really nice inside and in a great location. Sean should really change the lock code for the unit as it unfortunately is the same code as the front gate code to the entire complex. Anyone who has access to the gate code (and the other units he rents on the property) would now have access to this apartment, since they share a code. We did not feel safe at all leaving any valuables or personal items in the unit. The code should be different than the gate code. ALSO, we should have a way to lock the unit ourselves when we leave the unit, that does not rely on the check-in code, to keep past guests out. For instance, leave a key in the unit that is on a separate deadbolt than the coded deadbolt, so we could lock it ourselves and know that anyone with a code could not get in; or give us a temporary key code we can create for while we are staying in the unit (like you see on those little safes in hotel rooms). Those are a few ideas that would make the unit much more safe and secure. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the apartment and the location and had a very nice time. Thank you and take care!

    Chris2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • This all-in-one space was great for one person or a couple. We stayed for one night. Very clean, modern furnishings, good WiFi, kitchen with the essentials, great bathroom with a full length mirror, and a comfortable and stylish bed. There was even laundry units. Check in was easy with a keypad lock, and we didn’t see the host at all. My one complaint is that we had a third person join our party a few days before our reservation. I notified Sean and he immediately charged me the extra person fee ($25 or $30). On arrival we made up the pull out couch bed, which was a thin futon mattress. But there were only two sets of towels and no extras to be found. So I would not recommend this space for multi-party guests, only an individual or a couple.

    Emily2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's place was wonderful! He was a wonderful communicator from the beginning and was speedy in response time. The house is located right off the highway which was super convenient but also very quiet for as close as the street was. The house seemed like it was maybe new construction which was great, super clean and plenty of space for the 3 of us. The bed and the sofa bed were also very comfy!! And it was very close to downtown Healdsburg and wineries. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

    Kristin2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and modern unit. Not too far from Healdsburg's downtown and wineries in the area. Would stay here again on another wine country weekend for sure!

  • Our time spent at Brigette's airbnb was nothing short of phenomenal. Check in was super easy, communication was superb, the home itself was exactly as described... everything was perfect. We loved how spacious the kitchen was and took full advantage of the hammock and hot tub. Brigette truly takes great care to make sure everything you need is available and the place is decorated beautifully. The houses are close together but between the redwoods and the lush foliage, you feel like you are staying in a treehouse. The neighborhood is fantastic, everyone is extremely friendly and we immediately felt welcome. The town of Guerneville is just a few minutes drive away and is full of neat stores, restaurants serving delicious food and Armstrong Natural Reserve is only a skip away (Take the East Ridge Trail!). If you are looking for a magical home in a picturesque town full of eclectic, friendly people... Your search is over :)

    Katie2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is adorable, serene and peaceful. You feel like you're being blanketed by redwoods in a really beautiful neighborhood. The beds are super comfortable, and the hot tub and hammock were the icing on the cake. Brigette was awesome to communicate with, and she provided great restaurant recommendations in the area. I highly recommend this place!

    Kristin2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful cozy place for a sister reunion.....complete with a welcoming bottle of champagne to celebrate. A well-equipped kitchen.

    Pete2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with a few people. Quiet, low key neighborhood. Close to the neighbors but as long as your not having a party it's a great location and close enough to everything

    Matt2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nama'Stay made me be like, "naw...imma stay" here! The place is adorable and had everything we needed. Brigette was super responsive and knowledgeable about places to eat and taste wine in the area. The shower was a bit cold in the morning, but the jacuzzi and lovely outdoor area make up for that. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would definitely return for an easy and comfortable weekend away.

  • What a little gem of a place, set amid some really tall trees! Perfect escape to relax, grill, hot tub and unwind. We tried booking again for the following month, but it comes as no surprise that it is not available :) Irina was also responsive and helpful. In short, the place had everything we needed in an ideal location.

    Cara2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Irina is a great and prompt communicator. The neighborhood is adorable. The hot tub was PERFECT. I would stay here again!

  • We had a wonderful visit at Irina's condo in Rio Nido. A very peaceful location with beautiful trees. We loved having the BBQ and dining area on the deck for breakfast and dinner. It is just a short walk from the Russian River and the swimming pool. We had a great time floating down the river. The condo is very comfortable. There are plenty of towels, linens and all the kitchen utensils, pottery and glassware you could need. Irina has lots of info on the area and suggestions for dining, etc. Our only regret was that we did not have more time for a longer visit. However, we will be back! Thanks, Irina

  • Adorable house and host! What a great place to relax after losing the battle with Friday traffic. I wish we had more time to visit.

    Patrick2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location close to wineries and center of town. Very comfortable bed. Quiet and rustic setting.

    Adrienne2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We reserved michael's room but the host gave us different room without any prior notice. The cottage we stayed was a bit old and dirty and the shower did not work well. Upon arrival, the host said that we owe "Transient Occulancy Tax" her. She asked us to pay $24 in cash. As you know, AirB&B's policy is that a host can not request additional payment unless it was informed when the reservation is made. The information about TOT is not given when we reserved the room. In addition, $24 is incorrect, it must be $21, as current Healdsburg's TOT rate is 14%. We felt uncomfortable during our stay and so disappointed in this.

    Dohyung2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Simply perfect. My boyfriend and I are highly considering becoming annual guests! This Airbnb truly left us speechless. We visited 5 cities during our stay in Cali, and when asked our favorite stop, with no doubt, we choose Zo Wines Estate. Besides the breathtaking grounds and beautiful home, our host Kevin was beyond charming and welcoming. I highly suggest making time for the wine tasting. They seem relatively flexible with checking in and scheduling the tasting, so long as it doesn't conflict with other arrangements. We simply got sucked into buying a bottle because it tasted so good! The house was clean, cozy, and felt like home. During after hours, the front/back doors have a keypad lock for just those that are guests. Each room has its own key, which made us feel comfortable and safe to leave our belonging behind. Wifi works great, there's no TV, but I promise you'll find activities to keep yourself occupied on and off premises. Note: Despite old reviews, there is no farm anymore. They're turning that into more of a social picnic area. Honestly, the breakfast places in town were AMAZING! Definitely ask for suggestions! Hope to be back soon!!

  • Beautiful spot!

  • We had a great visit to the Irish Rose Inn. The house is set in a beautiful valley and is surrounded by many rose bushes, two horses and some (quiet) chickens. Michael's Room was spacious, had great AC and a very nice large bathroom. Chris's husband (sorry that I can't remember you name!) made us a delicious breakfast before we departed for the day. It felt like staying at our own home, as it was very relaxed and comfortable.

    Andy2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky enough to have the entire house to ourselves. The check-in process could not have been easier. Beautiful house, beautiful location, fantastic value. Loved the horses and chickens, too.

  • Chris was very helpful when we had an unexpected difficulty arise. She made sure we would still have a great time on our trip!

  • This house was absolutely perfect for my recent stay in Healdsburg. We had a group of seven (three couples and one baby) and the house couldn't have been more perfect. Every room was spacious, the amenities were all up-to-date, layout was great for hanging out and making group meals and the outside space was just gorgeous! We absolutely loved the house and would definitely come back and stay again. It was also conveniently located to downtown, less than 10 minute drive, which was wonderful. Thanks for everything!

    Lindsay2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This home is lovely and located in an ideal setting. It's secluded yet close to town. Such a wonderful place to spend some time relaxing and enjoying wine country!

  • Great time and location. Beautiful home!

    Byron2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Shelley's home is conveniently located a short drive into downtown Healdsburg and to the surrounding areas. It is in a very quiet residential neighborhood. The home was very clean and had all of the essentials needed for my husband, me, our son, daughter-in-law and 6 mo old grandbaby. The upstairs bedroom is the largest in floor space, but has a sloped (attic style) ceiling and is very low, plan to bump your head constantly if you stay in that room. The outdoor area is lovely, however, it was too cold out for us to enjoy the firepit, etc during our stay. The livingroom has enough seating for 4 adults to sit comfortably. We would definitely recommend this home for 4 adults and a child.

    Deborah2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house for our weekend away. Shelley was an excellent host. We definitely recommend!

    Leah2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay and would highly recommend this place. The house was very clean and well prepared for our arrival. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge for us. The location is only a few minutes outside of Healdsburg which made it a great little basecamp to explore many different areas of Sonoma. We would definitely book another stay when we travel back to the area.

    Jonathan2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect wine country home! The home itself is spacious, clean, and tranquil. We were in Healdsburg for a triathlon and this home was a perfect location to our race. Relaxing in the backyard with the fire pit and hot tub post race was the perfect ending to our race! Shelley and Brad were the kindest hosts as well. They were very communicative and even stopped by to help us start the fire pit! Thank you!! Definitely recommend the house to anyone looking for a getaway!

    Stephanie2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you, Shelley! Our stay was great. After a few hours of wine tasting Wednesday and Thursday, it was so nice to come "home" to the house - to play chess, pool, hot tub, cooking, etc. I did not want to leave!

Just finished remodeling this incredibly cute studio, brand new everything. Sleeps 4 comfortably with a Murphy fold out full and a Murphy set of 2 twins bunk beds. Pool passes included, walk to river, playground, pool, tennis, Rio Nido roadhouse!
Lovely, new, adorable, cute!!!! Spacious yet comfortable, with beds that store up during the day and come down at night.
Walk to the river, swimming pool, mini golf, dog park, tennis court, and playground! Short drive to fine dining and shopping at Guerneville and to Armstrong woods. We are smack in the middle of Sonoma wine country, lots of wineries to try in any direction! Please note, this is a triplex and there are neighbors close by, so if you are looking for total privacy and seclusion, this is probably not the palce for you. As with any rental, you may have quirky neighbors, and unfortunately i have no cotrol over that.
  • We had a great time exploring the Russian River area. The studio was very clean and comfortable. It is great to have a full kitchen and bbq since we cooked the first night we were there. We tried out the jacuzzi and it was clean and very relaxing. My son couldn't get over the Murphy bunk beds and enjoyed checking out both upper and lower bunks. Irina was great at responding to questions quickly and we wouldn't hesitate coming back to this unit. Thanks again Irina for accepting our first airbnb adventure, we really appreciate it!

    David2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very basic, clean place. In an extremely densely populated residential area. Surrounded by beautiful trees. Fabulous hot tub.

    Christy2017-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Irina sent along info for our arrival timely and the accomadations were exactly as described. The place was cozy and clean. The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking with a Safeway grocery store close by. We chose to eat out since it was our vacation and found a few restaurants within 10 minute drive. The physical location of the apartment was the only negative feedback we have. Houses were packed in very close to each other and road to unit was narrow, bumpy and dark. There was one neighbor across the street who had a huge pet snake in their window that honestly freaked me out when I saw it on arriving the first night because it was dark and his cage was lit up with a red light. There was also 2 piles of dog poop at the entrance gate which was gross.

    Wendy2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful setting, nice amenities, superb hosts.

    Michael2018-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, well designed for the small space. Good for a close group or family. Beds are very comfortable, just a little squeaky. Basics were provided and everything was very clean.

    Cynthia2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Irina's place is quiet and peaceful. Rio Nido is a quaint place to stay, with a combination of permanent residents who live there year round and visitors like us. The scenery is terrific. Irina's place makes a great place to start you day from. When the sun cuts through the trees the deck and bricked patio are great places to sit out and enjoy the air. Perfect place for a couple or for a couple with a couple of kids - do know though that it is all one room so parents and kids don't have perfect privacy at night. Finally - Irina is a world class communicator. I had a couple of questions while there and she responded every time within 5 minutes, and usually within two.

    Kevin2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Location and access to the pool, park, tennis courts a big plus. Completely enjoyed the hot tub in the large yard. Apartment very clean and very cute. You might want to bring a large skillet, large pot for cooking as the pots and pans were small, but there always was the barbecue on the deck. Irina was always pleasant and available when needed. Would definitely recommend.

    Susan2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cute unit! My favorite part was the deck and hot tub. It’s in a perfect location with redwoods surrounding you. The unit is decorated very nice and nice touches with pictures of the town. I loved my week!

Our rustic and eclectic cabin is surrounded by redwoods, walking distance from the river, and is a great place to unwind. It's ideal for kids and adults alike. Families will appreciate the swing set, the tree fort, children's books, beach toys, and built in baby gate. Adults will like the places to relax and look up at the trees, the proximity to wine country and the city, and the fun of making fires in the firepit. Everyone loves the river and the short drive to the ocean.
The Blue House is cozy but functional with about 600 sq ft of space, newer kitchen appliances, and an open layout. There is one bedroom (with a queen bed). In the main room, there is a loft with a full size bed. There is also a day-bed with trundle (i.e. 2 more twin beds). Mostly what we love is it's location - convenience in closeness (a little more than an hour from SF), embedded in our favorite area of wine country (Russian River and Dry Creek), swimming, tubing, boating in the river, being surrounded by redwood trees and their ability to make you feel small, and proximity to the wild California Coast. It's a great base for exploring the area, but the house is a respite where you can slow down. There is fast internet if you want it, a tv and stereo, but it's also great for just building fires in the fire pit and hanging out in the hammock. The house isn't totally secluded, but it's all fenced in and feels a little like your own world. It is on a quiet street and is far enough from River Road that you don't hear too much traffic. It's around the corner from any other houses on the street so you get a nice view of the hills from the kitchen and dining room areas. That being said, it is in a neighborhood with some permanent residents and families, so respecting our quiet hours is important. It's not a place for parties. TOT#2369N
The house is embedded in a neighborhood that was originally built mostly as river summer homes, but now includes a mix of summer homes and permanent residents. Close to the house, there are a lot of little tiny twisting roads in the redwoods to explore on foot and sometimes you can find dirt cut throughs between streets and behind houses. You can walk to Mother's Beach in just 5 mins if you want to brave crossing River Road or 10-15 minutes if you take the longer, safer way around. You can also walk to Sunset Beach in about 15-20 minutes. Berry's Market is just a couple of blocks away. There you can get sandwiches, coffee, beer and wine, and other basics. Speer's Market is a 5 minute drive away where they have pretty much anything else you could need or want. If you want more hiking - Armstrong Woods is about a 15 min drive and has spectacular old growth redwoods. There is also Riverfront Regional Park (10min drive) and Sonoma Coast State Park (35 min drive - on the ocean). As far as wine country goes there is no better area. The wineries are smaller and friendlier then more tourist centric areas. Korbel is right down the street, but there are also some great smaller ones very nearby like Iron Horse, Porter Creek, Artista and Sunce. The Russian River Area has long been a place that people go to relax, explore, and get away. The people in West County are easy going, creative, and generally open. The towns and neighborhoods are small and full of little gems - some quick highlights include Monte Rio's quonset hut movie theatre, Guerneville's restaurants and Bear culture, Occidental's Friday night farmers market, Petaluma's Seed Bank, and lots of local craft breweries.
  • We had a wonderful post-Thanksgiving weekend at the Blue House. Despite all the rain, we had a great time exploring surrounding area and hanging out in this cozy house. Enjoyed the wood stove and the well-stocked kitchen. Our kids, age 5 and 7, loved sleeping in the loft and playing in the yard. Thank you!

    Heather2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Blue House is a charming, comfortable retreat in the beautiful redwood forested area near the Russian River. Lots of wine tasting and craft breweries nearby.

    Eric2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place. The cabin has nice designer touches, and the yard was wonderful for our toddler to run around. The house is very quiet and in a lovely setting under the redwoods. We also took advantage of the picnic table, hammock, and walking distance to mother's beach.

    Theresa2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the New Year at the Blue House and had a great time! The house is cozy, clean and with very nice surroundings! We are a family of four, with two little boys (15 months and almost 4) and it was a very child friendly place. Hopefully, we will go back one day.

    Alina2018-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy, clean and inviting home. We had a few day get away and this was perfect.

    Natasha2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay. Great for my family and so many wonderful personal touches throughout the property. Thank you for everything!

  • Our stay at The Blue House was so fun. We had expected to be five and were only two but nonetheless it was great! Oliver contacted us the week before and provided all the information we needed for our arrival. We got into the house with no trouble and everything was clean and neat but fully stocked. It was a wonderful stay and we will be contacting Oliver for our next visit!

    Dal2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Oliver's place. It is a cute and comfortable house with an open floor plan and a well-equipped kitchen. Kids will love the loft and the playground outside, but the space would be just as good for two couples as well. The location is perfect for exploring redwoods, wineries, and (with a short drive) the coastline.

Just over an hour from San Francisco is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. Meandering into the small village of Rio Nido under the tall redwoods is a delight as you enter this Cabin in the Trees. Features two bedrooms one bath and large living room for entertaining.
Nestled right in the Redwoods, the Tree House is gently perched in the trees overlooking the canyon below. As you gaze out the windows it feels as if your perched right in the canopy of the forest. The Tree House has two bedrooms with comfy queen beds and luxurious linens. Originally built in the 1920's this cabin has been updated and decorated with eclectic comfortable furnishings. Still maintaining it's rustic cabin charm the decks are amazing and a beautiful place to eat, drink and enjoy the tranquility of the Redwoods. There is a full kitchen with most everything you'll need to prepare basic meals and a dishwasher for cleanup. The Tree House is self catering so please bring your own food and spices. There is a Safeway grocery store in Guerneville just two miles down the road. We have a gas fireplace in the spacious open living room and in the fall and winter we do our best to have it on, warm and cozy for your arrival.
Rio Nido is a 1920's era Vacation area for residents of the San Francisco area with lots of history. From the ancient redwoods that surround the area to the pee-wee golf course and the Roadhouse where you can take a swim and grab a bite to eat, this is the perfect location. Located just minutes from the fun and casual resort town of Guerneville on the banks of the Russian River. It is an extremely popular spot to come and kayak, canoe, swim and fish in the Russian River. Within five minutes you are at Armstrong Woods State Park, which is home to an old growth redwood forest, picnic area, and miles of spectacular hiking. To the west you pass through the towns of Monte Rio and Duncan's Mill on the way to Jenner and the Pacific Coast. To the east is Korbel Champange Cellars and over 100 boutique and well-known wineries including Kendall-Jackson and Ferrari-Carrano. An afternoon's drive can easily take you to Napa County and Guerneville is only about an hour plus to San Francisco. Great food, great wine, natural beauty and unlimited outdoor activities- this is why we make Guerneville and the Russian River area our home.
  • Our stay at the treehouse was exactly what we were looking for and needed for our Sonoma weekend trip. The fireplace was on when we arrived and it was toasty. I spent my weekend with my significant other and another couple. I felt that both rooms had enough privacy. There was though a small hiccup during our stay when a branch or pine cone fell from one of the tree nearby (this is expected since it is after all a tree house) and broke one of the sky lights in the bedrooms. Thankfully it happened while we were out and about during the day so no one was hurt. We never met, but Theo was professional and very responsive. He had someone come to fix it within less than an hour. I highly recommend staying here, if you are looking to do some rest and relaxation!

    Anne2015-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Theo was easy to communicate with and everything was provided. The home is very cozy, nestled in the trees with plenty to see and eat nearby. We loved having the gas fireplace to heat the place--it worked great and just added to the coziness. There are beautiful pieces of furniture, art and decorations everywhere.

    Jenny2014-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was as expected from the pictures - surrounded by redwoods, and very cosy inside. Hosts were lovely and welcomed us on arrival.

    Scotty2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Theo's spot is in a very serene and beautiful location. Rio Nido is a very interesting little ewok village right by all the offerings of Guernville and the Russian River. The home is decorated in weird artifacts. I'd recommend against letting your mind wander too much about what they all mean, but they were worth a few chuckles during our stay. Kitchen works well, but if you plan to cook for more than 2 people at a time, you may want to consider bringing your own pots and pans. The deck was next level and easily the best part of the property. We spent alot of our time just enjoying cocktails and hanging out in the woods. It was great. Getting to the river for a float was super easy, and getting into town for food was also quick.

    Devin2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Theo's. It really does feel like a tree house! gorgeous views of all the trees, and a really neat historic sort of woodsy vacation home. We loved the location too. It's relaxing because you are up out of town in the woods, but super easy to grab lunch or groceries in Guerneville. And then you are right in the heart of wine country and fine dining in Healdsburg.

    Mary2014-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place for a quiet getaway. Theo was a wonderful host & the house was beautifully decorated with treasures from around the world. A perfect location to visit a handful of wonderful places & activities all within short drives.

    Brandon And Molly2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a funky, whimsically decorated spot. Totally Bohemian and delightful. We enjoyed coming back to the Treehouse after a day of wine tasting to cook and relax. We especially liked our bedroom perch -- waking up in the morning to a wall-to-wall view of redwoods was incredible. Very cozy but felt roomy. Four of us shared a bathroom, but the two bedrooms were sufficiently private. I'd go again!

    Athena2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at the house! The one way road to drive there is pretty narrow and windy - best to there during the day. Loved the fireplace and mood music when we arrived. The house is clean and the kitchen has all the basics you would need.

Less than 15 steps to the Forrestville Russian River beach! Newly renovated with all of the amenities you'd expect. Within minutes of many award winning wineries on Westside Rd and River Rd. Go out for a day of wine tasting and then relax by the river at the beach. Everything is a possibility at Casa Del Rio!
The unit was renovated in early 2018 so everything is brand new from flooring to appliances. The TV has access to all the latest apps through the smart TV functionality and the high speed internet.
The most amazing part of this property is its location. Casa del rio is one house away from the Forrestville Russian river beach and access. And within minutes of many boutique and world renowned wineries.
  • We can up to spend July 4th here and float the river. This house is in a prime location, literally next to the river access trail in Forestville and a short drive from restaurants/stores in Guerneville. Our unit was very clean and had everything we needed. The neighbors upstairs are also amazing and gave us lots of tips on places to go in the area. They also had a great old dog named KJ who wanders around the property and was a fun addition to an awesome setup! All in all, this was a great experience - thanks for hosting us!

  • Arvand was super responsive! The space was perfect for our family getaway. Location was great as well - only 15/20 minutes away from downtown areas. Arvand went out of his way to make sure to stay in communications throughout the stay. Will definitely recommend his accomodations to anyone.

  • Arvand’s place was great. It was very clean and spacious. Also, the respond times for any assistance I need as immediate. The location is great. The roads leading directly down to the river lies directly on the side of the house which was awesome. It was so close to so many wonderful things.

  • Dan's home is in a quiet neighborhood. Bed very comfortable - nice linens. Dan has a beautiful home and is a gracious host.

    Kathy2013-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was the best host anyone could possibly ask for. It was my first time using airbnb and I will never go back to using hotels ever! Because I was going to a wedding, I didn't have much time to explore Sonoma but it was so close to Dan's house (which is breathtaking by the way). Dan told me of a nice close hike in a nearby city and of other great things to do around the area. He is so knowledgable about the city and about traveling in general, I could have talked to him for hours. Everything in his house is nice and clean, and there's a huge kitchen with everything you could possibly need if you have time to cook. He was sweet enough to let me check in late and to bring a guest. If you want a real airbnb experience, Dan is the perfect host. I'm definitely going back to Windsor again and I will only stay with him! :)

  • Dan was an awesome host. My husband and I stayed with him over the weekend, in celebration of my husband's birthday. Dan is so friendly and comfortable, it was like we had known him for years. He made us feel so welcome, like his home was our home. We really enjoyed talking with him about cooking, wine, travel and other similar interests. He has so much passion for life and adventure! Our last morning was topped off with an array of colorful hot air balloons hovering over head, while we enjoyed a coffee on the back patio. Great experience. Pandora and Tony

  • Dan's house is really nice. Our room was very comfortable. We used the terrace, it was a nice evening. Dan gave us a lot of advice to visit winerys.

  • Spacious and clean room and a very attentive and helpful host! Dan answered all our questions promptly and gave us excellent wine tasting and restaurant recommendations. The room is exactly as advertised and the location is nice and quiet. Healdsburg is only 10 minutes away and getting an Uber there and back was quick and easy. This was a great place to stay while exploring the wine country!

  • What a fantastic experience our trip to Sonoma was! We very much enjoyed meeting Dan and staying in his home. Accommodations were comfortable and it felt like home for a few days! Dan was a fabulous host and recommended great places to eat and several wineries and things to do during our stay. The location was perfect - just outside Healdsburg and close to Santa Rosa and several wineries on the way to Dry Creek.

    Cassie2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was very welcoming and offered up suggestions when we asked. His home is in a beautiful neighborhood and close enough to town to walk! He's located just a short drive to the wineries. As my first time staying in a room, vs an entire house, I was slightly nervous but it went well and we were comfortable!

  • The location is right down the road from downtown Guerneville and across the street from the river. The place is a little smaller than expected - the couch isn't big enough for two and there is no dining space but the location is prime for all wine country destinations. We would stay there again if in the area.

  • Perfect place for our weekend get-away. Ismael's chalet is a cozy spot from which to explore the Redwoods, the wineries, or the beach. We loved relaxing on the deck!

  • Very quick responses from the Derecka (co-host). Great little tiny home. Looks newly refinished, very thoughtfully and tastefully done and well appointed, but be careful of the stairs. There is a quick drop at the top and a narrow entrance at the bottom. If stairs aren't a problem, you'll love the place.

  • We couldn’t have picked a better place for our first Airbnb experience. This place and the hosts are perfect, and we’re hoping to stay here again.

    Bre2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as pictured but the photos can’t really capture the beauty of the view. The hosts are wonderful and super responsive!! Just be sure to note that the road going up to the unit is long and steep and it’s one way up and then you circle back all the way down on the opposite side. We goofed by not knowing it’s one way! Whoops— our bad. The place is spotless and super well appointed. We will be back!!

  • The other reviews are true. This place is perfect. Comfortable bed. Modern and very clean. I had a million and one questions and they were all answered very well and fast. It was my first experience with Air BNB and Ismael really set the bar high. Ismael is such a nice and gracious host. Perfect place for a Russian River getaway. I would recommend this place to anyone. Top notch.

  • Had a very nice stay at Ismael's place. If you want a calm and clean place to stay... this is the place for you. From the comfy bed and great shower are details that made a difference for relaxation at Ismael's chalet. Great views of the trees and hills will be remembered too. Will definitely like to reserve again and highly recommend to others to stay there.

A wonderful, upstairs, roomy suite with all the amenities. It has a lovely bed room with desk, armoire with television, and large chest of drawers plus a sitting room looking out over the vineyards. The suite has its own private bathroom with marble sink , camode and extra large shower enclosure.
Our home is settled in the scenic Dry Creek Valley, home to some of the most beautiful vineyards of California. We are ten minutes to Lake Sonoma, fifteen minutes to Santa Rosa, 45 minutes to the ocean . There are endless opportunities for sight seeing and sporting activities.
We are in the country. There is a General store two houses down but it is more like a deli for the wine trade. They do have delicious sandwiches.
  • Bonnie's place is amazing for so many reasons! First off your literally surrounded by beautiful vineyards in the heart of wine country. Downtown healdsburg which has way too many great resturants and shops, is a short 5 min senic drive. The upstairs master bedroom suite is comfortable has a nice vineyard view. Bonnie and her granddaughter are wonderful people, and have an amazing garden!

The Roost is a licensed guest room that is located 2 blocks from the central plaza of Healdsburg in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Roost occupies a corner of an historic 1860s farmhouse with a separate secluded porch and private entrance.
Because the Roost is a licensed guest room (B&B) we pay 14% bed tax to the City of Healdsburg. This tax is included in the nightly room price.
Healdsburg is a popular small town with over 100 wineries in the area. Restaurants, bakeries and cafes are abundant and most are within a few blocks of the Roost. A weekly Farmer's Market with locally sourced produce takes place near the downtown plaza. There are also year round cultural activities, including art and music, as well as sport options.
  • We really enjoyed staying at the roost for the second time! It is cozy and such a great location. Ann gave us some awesome recommendations! Will definitely be back!

    Sarah2016-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Roost is a perfect place to stay for a trip to Healdsburg. The location is great. Peaceful, but within a couple of minutes walk to all the good shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops downtown. Ann was very helpful before we arrived with clear information on the location and amenities of the Roost, and with some great recommendations for restaurants, coffee shops etc close by. She and her family were very welcoming when we arrived, and helped to answer questions we had on visiting the local wineries. The room and adjoining bathroom provided everything we needed, including a fridge with a complimentary bottle of Sonoma wine, and tea/coffee making facilities (important for visitors from the UK!!). We'd definitely go back to the Roost and Healdsburg in the future, and would recommend the Roost to anyone else visiting the area.

    Kevin2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ann was an incredibly amazing host! Upon checking in, she immediately provided us with a great list of recommendations for wineries and eateries! The Roost was a cute, cozy, and very clean space with private entrance and an adorable porch just perfect for our needs, including the delicious cookies! Definitely consider staying here again when in the neighborhood.

  • Adorable space and perfect location! A block from downtown and only a 10 minute drive from Dry Creek Road. Ann left us delicious cookies, wine, coffee, tea, and water. We'd definitely love to stay again soon!

  • The check in process was as simple as can be. There was a nice bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us, which we enjoyed that afternoon. A 2 minute walk to everything interesting in Healdsburg.

  • Absolutely beautiful home- so light and airy. Ann is a delightful host who has paid attention to every detail of her guests' stay. The Roost is impeccably clean, so comfortable and perfectly located for exploring downtown Healdsburg. We will definitely be back!

  • Ann's place was two blocks off the main drag in Healdsburg and was absolutely perfect. Parking was easy and this served as the perfect launching point for our Russian River/Dry Creek winery tours. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Kelly's cozy garden cottage was perfect. Between wine tastings, we thoroughly enjoyed lounging in the garden and strolling into town. Kelly is a warm and gracious host -- she has thought of every possible amenity, and she provided several excellent winery and restaurant recommendations. We were sad to leave!

    Marybeth2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Host Kelly was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area and vineyards. The cottage is cute, warm and comfortable in a lovely central neighbourhood. We had a lovely stay.

  • This was in a great location for exploring the town of Healdsburg and surrounding wineries. The garden was lovely, the cottage felt very private, and was very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely come back for a second stay.

  • Quant, charming, exquisitely clean and comfortable. It’s perfect for a single or a romantic couples get away. The bed, pillows and sheets were so comfortable that I asked Kelly for the brand of sheets. You won’t be disappointed.

  • Had a lovely time staying in Kelly's cottage. Very comfortable, well-appointed, fit three (and could have fit 4) easily, great little patio to relax on, and great location. All in all a great stay!

  • We had a wonderful time during our long weekend in Healdsburg. Kelly and her cottage were both wonderful. The cottage was the perfect size and location for us while exploring Healdsburg. We will definitely be staying again with Kelly when we travel to Wine Country.

  • We loved our stay at Kelly's cottage. The garden was a delight with beautiful landscaping, a fire pit and an umbrellaed table for a romantic dinner under the stars. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very efficient.

We loved Sonia and Elliot's cottage - the amount of care and attention paid to the property and all the little personal touches was incredible. Just as described, it was on a quiet country road about 5-10 minutes drive from downtown Healdsburg. Everything was perfect; a super comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen, lots of warm water and a cozy little pot-bellied stove that kept us warm. Sonia and Elliot were both incredibly warm and welcoming but not intrusive. There was plenty of information in terms of activities in the area, though we were definitely happy to just hang out in the cottage and enjoy the peace and quiet. Of course, the wine, fruit and chocolate were greatly appreciated when we arrived! If I could give this place ten stars, I would.

The place was exactly as it looks, except nicer. The bed was unbelievable, and being a bedding snob who has frequently turned up my nose at various hotels, this was my biggest worry for my 1st Air BnB. (top quality linens, pillows, and I believe they sented them with lavender essential oils) The place was quiet, cozy, and just what we were looking for. Our hosts were polite, kind, and nonintrusive (another concern for a Air Bnb 1st timer). If we are ever in the area, we wont hesitate to book here again.
