  • Staying in a converted church was an amazing experience and if you can get the chance to stay here it’s definitely worth it. The place was calm and comfortable, and Arlene was an excellent host

  • Great communication from Arlene and efficient, friendly help from Martin. Big apartment with everything you need, including toiletries and kitchen supplies. Dedicated parking, good wifi, responsive heating system that kept us warm and cosy. Recommended.

  • Sadly we only got to stay at Arlenes one night, but we were all glad we did. It was a perfect, luxurious way to spend and relax our last night after 10 days of driving round pretty much the whole of Scotland! The apartment itself was extremly clean, well equipped and massive! Arlene was superb throughout whole booking period and was super relaxed when we had to change our arrival time due to sat nav shenanigans.... hope to return again, but this time for a few more nights and to really take in Glasgow.

  • This place is truly a gem, never stayed in a place like it. We loved our stay in the old converted church, the big bath was a big hit with us!! The photos were accurate and communication with Arlene was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this to other travellers.

  • What a wonderful house. Very unique and charming! Arlene keeps the place spotless. We took full advantage of the deep soaker tub.

  • Arlene's place is stunning - wonderfully appointed. Highly recommend for a visit to Glasgow!

  • Arlene was a fantastic and flexible host (with the best pair of specs I've ever seen) who made sure that check-in and check-out were simple and convenient for us. Her property is exactly as pictured (beautiful) and after showing us how everything worked she left us to it. She was on hand to respond to queries via text and we had a lovely exchange when we said our goodbyes. We had a car so can't comment on transport links but conveniences such as Sainsbury's are very close by. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks again Arlene! x

  • Wonderful!! We loved staying here. The house is clean, so fun in decor and beds comfortable. We are a family of 4 and it was the perfect fit for us and what we were looking for. Arlene is wonderful at responding to any questions and is very fast in reply. The courtyard in front of the house is well maintained and simply stunning. Staying here was the icing on our cake for this trip and made it feel very authentic! Highly recommend! We hope the rest of our trip is as wonderful as this for our Airbnb experience!

During the 19th Century, Speirs Wharf was at the hub of Glasgow's industrial revolution, with work commencing on the first phase of its development in 1811. The single building at the entrance to the development was built in 1812 as the offices for Forth & Clyde Navigation Co. In 1851, the City of Glasgow Grain Mills & Stores owned by John Currie & Co followed. Subsequent additions followed between 1869 and 1870. Originally the mills had 20 pairs of mill stones and a 100 horse power condensing engine. • Snuggle waited for us at arrival the flat was nice and very welcoming There was a bottle of sparkling wine and many towels We used the gym and spa which was nice and had a beautiful run by the canal Surroundings are calm and not far from center

  • Lovely host and lovely apartment!! So handy to city centre but in such a private location! Would 100% stay here again!!

  • Very helpful host, and a well equipped apartment in a nice area of the city.

  • Wonderful modern and cosy apartment in a great location in Glasgow!!! My girlfriend and I only stayed two nights here but it was the best two nights of out trip. Bottle of bubbly on arrival and the facilities available to us was great for the price! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Glasgow!! 5/5

  • Myself and my partner arrived home today after a Monday to Friday stay in this apartment. We had a great time! We were greeted with the keys and shown around by irene. She even gave us a lift to and from the local supermarket to get some essentials. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need, although I did miss having a dining table. There was plenty of towels, we didn't run out which was great. So many places only supply 2 or 3 towels. The bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch and was given a good home

  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this cosy apartment. Irene met us and gave us a very thorough tour of the apartment and the swim/gym facilities. Our host had gone the extra mile with decorating the apartment for the festive season and even treated us to a bottle of wine and luxury goodies. The apartment was the perfect luxury getaway! The city center is incredibly close, and the wharf itself was lovely to walk down in the evening. Will highly recommend staying here, and we will most definitely do so again! Best apartment we have stayed in so far - Thanks for a brilliant stay Derek!

  • Very intimate setting along a picturesque canal. Snuggle went out of thier way to provide robes and slippers, snacks and even a bottle Wine. There was even a person who showed us the apartment!

A large double room in our beautiful old (1824) townhouse, in the centre of historic Stirling. Stirling Castle is 10 minutes walk away; the rail & bus stations are 5 minutes. A help-yourself breakfast is provided in the room. On-street car parking.
The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a double bed, sofa, coffee table, books, board games and dvds (and a dvd player). There is wireless internet. Bread, fruit, cereal, porridge, yoghurt, tea and coffee are provided so you can help yourself to breakfast. There's a fridge, toaster, and kettle in the room.
Stirling is a great place to stay, and our house is right in the heart of it. You can visit Stirling Castle (recently voted best visitor attraction in Scotland!) and wander round the fascinating old town, with many buildings dating back to the 1500s. The Wallace Monument is just across the valley - in fact you can see it from the kitchen window! The best TripAdvisor restaurant in Stirling (Green Gates Indian) is 20 seconds away, with other pubs and restaurants nearby. Stirling is great for shopping, with lots of independent shops and all the big high street names. The beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs national park is a 30 minute drive away.
  • Very good communication in helping us with directions and many pages of instructions and explanations, as well as an in-person walk-through-- Comfortable, large room and its location is just a couple of of blocks from top pubs and restaurants as well as the impressive COULD NOT BE BETTER!

  • Rosa & Greg informed us in the best possible way how to get to their apartment. There was even a possibility to get into the house when nobody was present, so arrival times were absolutely no problem. Unfortunately we only got to know Greg because Rosa was away. Greg is a fantastic guy who had some good recommendations about Stirling, where to eat, what to see and holiday in Scotland in general and was very nice to chat with. :) Sadly we could just stay for 1 night and travelled back home to Germany the next day so our time was very limited. The room was ... HUGE! It was a whole living room including a fridge and everything you need for a yummy breakfast. The Wi-Fi was fast, the bathroom (upstairs) very stylish. Awesome! The size of the room was perfect for me to re-pack my luggage for the flight. :-D Brilliant!

  • Nejlepší ubytování, které jsem na airbnb zažil. Krásné prostředí, blízko centru a výborní hostitelé. :)

  • Greg and Rosa sont des hôtes très accueillants et sympas. la chambre privée est très confortable et très propre. l'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Stirling. A recommander.

  • I am a bit belated in sharing my comments... My daughter, son, and I very much enjoyed our stay with Rosa and Greg. We made an unexpected late arrival due to a very long journey, but excellent directions made it easy to find them. We were grateful for a warm welcome despite the late hour. Our room was spacious, clean, and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the air mattress they set up for our third person was very much appreciated. We arrived by car, but were happy to find we were only a short walk from Stirling Castle, restaurants, and shopping. I had a lovely morning chat with Greg, and Rosa shared some history of the house with us. It was a pleasure to meet our kind host and hostess and we wish them all our best! -Linda, Amy, and Alan

  • Lovely stay last weekend, it was everything we hoped for. Very thoughtful hosts and a really lovely room and set-up (it has everything you need), thank you for having us! Gilly & Joe

  • Nice stay and nice room

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Greg's and Rosa's house. It was cosy and tidy, in a large room with many amenities. There's a heater if you feel cold, a comfortable sofa, a boiler, a toaster, a hairdryer a small fridge, even a portable DVD player and a few games. When you wake up, everything you need for a simple, but nourishing breakfast is in the room. The hosts were welcoming and provided many tips to enjoy our stay in Stirling, along with a map. I would recommend it to friends.

We had a brilliant stay in Glasgow. The flat is perfect. It is exactly what it says on the description. We were made to feel very welcome and that included basic bits and bobs for tea, bread and a welcome drink. Very nice touch! Couldn't get a better location. Very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here. They even sourced a fold up bed for a third person :) Thanks

This was our first air b&b experience & we were delighted to find Ken's apartment for our stay in Glasgow. Ken was great at answering any question we had before we arrived & recommended a cheap taxi company to use from the airport. The apartment was lovely (clean, light & brilliantly decorated), perfect for the 3 of us. My brother slept on the sofa bed & said it was very comfy. Ken very kindly let us check in early & out a bit later - which meant we could relax & have a shower after our very early flight. It's in a great location (waitrose & tesco within a few mins walk), lots of nice shops/bars/restaurants & easy to get into central Glasgow (we walk through the parks). I hope to stay here again & for longer next time! Highly recommended : )
