  • This place is absolutely stunning! I've never slept in such a lovely and unique apartement. The roof terrace is huge and you have a great view over mexico city. The house is very clean and the area safe - you feel at home quite quickly. I would move in immediately. Alex was a great host and the whole check in and check out was super uncomplicated. It's a reason to travel Mexico and highly recommended from my side.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Alex's loft. The rooftop terrace is the perfect oasis in a lively part of the city. We had a memorable time there!

  • Gorgeous place! The terrace is amazing. I didn't see this in the pictures, but there is a grill if you want to cook your own chorizo :) The logistics. The apartment is 5-10min walking distance from the heart of Roma with bars, restaurants, etc. There is a super market about 5 min walking. There is a water filter and anti-bacterial water solution in the apt which is helpful because you can't drink tap water in Mexico. The apartment also has other little things you might need like coffee, coffee maker, salt, etc. There are two beds which can fit 4 people in total, not very comfortably, but will get the job done. The spiral stairs at the end are a bit of a pain and are narrow. It is a workout to get suitcases all the way up there. Alex responds really quickly to all messages. During our stay, within a couple of hours, there was an earthquake in a region nearly. Alex asked if we were okay, suggested a place to gather if it happens again and sent us preparation guide of what to do before/during/after.

  • The location is wonderful, in a hip bustling part of town. The patio is incredible and a delight to be able to lay in the sun during the day and to watch the sunset and look over the city in the evening. The loft is small but very comfortable. Would love to return :)

    Libby2017-02-15T00:00:00Z

    Olivia2015-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed Alex's apartment which was well equipped, with some appreciated touches - coffee, a good TV and that amazing deck! The neighbourhood felt safe, was interesting architecturally, and had some terrific street food! It would have been nice to meet Alex through he made arrangements for someone to welcome us and show us how things worked.

  • This place was a great starting point for our DF trip. Our devices had a little trouble connecting to their WiFi, however, we believe it was the carrier and had nothing to do with the actual Wifi. This place has an amazing view and the Metro was a few blocks away and the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming.

    Edith2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I spent 5 nights in the loft apartment. Alex very kindly gave us entry early in the morning free of charge and arranged for us to be let in, thank you. After travelling about 36 hours we were exhausted and would of loved some clean water to drink, you cannot drink the water from the tap.... just a thought. Unfortunately it appeared it had slipped his mind that we were going to be using both the bed and the pull out sofa, we had to scratch around to find bedding for the sofa. The terrace area is gorgeous and we loved the views from the apartment, centrally located and a great space to come home to after a long day. The stairs, although a surprise were not an issue. We did miss there being any curtains or blinds for sleeping but loved that the super clever windows and doors would keep out most of the noise if all were shut, lucky when you factor in the dogs who bark until 3am :-) Roma really is a fantastic spot and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mexico City!! Thank you Alex

Stay in an awesome place. Famous by it´s organic architecture. Sleep inside Quetzalcoatl and enjoy it´s marvelous gardens and creative spaces. Fully equipped. 4 bedroom, plus 1 additional. 10 persons. Laundry room. Bread, fruit & coffee included.
It is paradise in the city. This place is perfect for anyone who loves nature, silence, woods, architecture, and some one who wants to recover it´s capacity to amaze. It has a park with botanical gardens, a cave of minerals and lakes to go around. It is a perfect place for small groups on retreats, to write, to meditate, for yoga, for walking, for a nice rest.
Close to us there is a very small shopping mall, with a Starbucks coffee, wings army a small supermarket and pharmacy. We are about 30min from downtown. Very close to us is the Basilica de los Remedios one of the Most ancient churches in Latin America.
  • Staying in Quetzalcoatl's Nest was a dream. The space and gardens are incredible. Patricia was an amazing host. The property is expansive--it takes several hours to walk around the entire grounds. If you are planning to visit, I recommend bringing food and any necessary toiletries (e.g. shampoo) because the location is a little remote (in a good way). That being said, there is some food provided and nearby restaurants deliver easily. I am excited to return one day and can't recommend this place enough.

    Alexandra2018-08-15T00:00:00Z

  • Astonishing place! The architecture creates a symbiosis with the nature. No video or picture(s) can really show how beautiful this place is. Patricia was very detail oriented and made our stay unforgettable... We are even planning on coming back soon! Thank you, Patricia.

    Xavier2018-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here is more than staying in a house it’s is a full blown incredible experience and I would urge you to stay here if you can. For a group it is great value. The photos give a sense but it is even more amazing in real life. Take up the offer of a tour if one is available and you will see so much of the huge gardens and incredible organic sculptures and buildings. Patrícia was a wonderful kind host and we feel very lucky to have met her and stayed in this world class piece of architectural art!

    Lichen2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a magical place with a magical host. Our host Patricia was better than any concierge at a 5 star hotel. Not only did she provide us with enough bread, fruit, and drinks for several breakfasts, she also assisted us in ordering delivery of 2 evening meals (pizza and Japanese food). Patricia also arranged for us to take 2 excellent full day tours (pyramids and historic Mexico City) with Alberto of "Secrets of Mexico City." (Website hidden by Airbnb) Alberto is a great tour guide and his English is excellent. Patricia's tour of the grounds and adjacent private park was extra special. Do not miss the stained glass greenhouse. Our kids loved the slide in the botanical garden. TIP #1: Bring warm pajamas because the condo. unit gets cold at night in the winter. When you get home at night start the modern space heaters in the bedrooms and close the doors. The rooms will be toasty by the time you go to bed. Tip#2: Do some internet research on architect Javier Senosiain before your trip and the experience will be even more magical.

    Stephen2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is stunning, the architecture and the decorations are unbelievable beautiful. Patricia is also a wonderful host, pretty and hospitable. What I loved the most is the park, it’s private and it’s only open to the residents yet. We had a wonderful time there

    Eddie2018-03-05T00:00:00Z

    Betty2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nido de Quetzalcóatl is for architecture and nature lovers! Sleeping inside the belly of a rattle snake in the most beautiful designed architecture and landscape park by Javier Senosiain is a unforgettable experience. You’ll feel like Alice in wonderland! Nearby is Basílica de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios where they have a great food market and on a Sunday morning around 12.00 noon you’ll see Voladores de Papantla swinging through the sky!

Elegant apartment in gorgeous Art Déco building in the historic center of Mexico City, also known as the "City of the Palaces" You will have the opportunity to stay within walking distance to palaces, museums, churches and the best historical landmarks in the area. Also, you will be in a great location when visiting Mexico. Do you have problems keeping your luggage due to your schedule? Look no further, we have a free deposit in the building to store it. You can enjoy your visit to the fullest
Remodeled deluxe apartment located on the fourth floor of a very well preserved Art Déco building completed in the 1920s. According to the elegance of the building we decorated our cozy place with minimalist lines. A bellboy will welcome you at your arrival and will take you into the ornate century-old elevator up to the apartment. The aparment has one bedroom with a nice and comfortable Queen size bed, a modern bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry area, a warm dining room, a reading area with a comfortable sofa and a nice TV room with a 50” full high-definition LED TV.
Historic Center of Mexico City is home to numerous museums and palaces, it has benefited in recent years from a committed preservation push. This is where the Spaniards began to build what is now modern Mexico City in the 16th century on the ruins of the conquered Tenochtitlan, capital of the Aztec Empire. The Centro Historico contains most of the city's historic sites from both eras as well as a large number of museums. This has made it a World Heritage Site. In the city center you could spend several days visiting amazing museums such as the Museum of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Franz Mayer Museum, National Museum of Art, National Museum of San Carlos, San Ildefonso College or Museum of the Templo Mayor among others. You can also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral or the National Palace just in front of the Zócalo, where the Aztec Empire had once settled, or simply enjoy walking through the splendorous colonial architecture found in the area. You could start your day with an early breakfast at any of the traditional restaurants around the area like "Café Tacuba", "El Cardenal", "La Parroquia" or "Sandborns de los Azulejos" wich is 4 minutes walking distance from the apartmente. Then you can head the skyscraper "Torre Latinoamericana" where for a small fee you can catch an elevator to the top and will have a breathtaking view of the city’s heart, as well as two snowcapped volcanoes to the east. Then you have to visit the Museum of Fine Arts (Bellas Artes), former President Porfirio Diaz commissioned the concert hall and museum in 1904 and hired the Italian architect Adamo Boari, who also built the stunning National Post Office (Correo Mayor) building across the street. Of the murals within, don’t forget to catch Diego Rivera’s “Man, the Controller of the Universe,” on the third floor. The Rockefeller family first commissioned it for the center in New York City, but then took offense at the work’s anticapitalist themes and had it destroyed, so the Mexican artist reproduced it in more detail here. Cross back over the Eje, turning left (north) to enter the Post Office, decorated on the exterior with gargoyles and elaborate stone carving. Next, head toward the Zócalo along Tacuba Street to the adjacent Palace of Mining (Palacio de Mineria), considered one of Mexico’s finest examples of neoclassical architecture. The building, completed in 1813, is one of the leading works by Manuel Tolsa who also designed the Statue of Carlos IV of Spain called “El Caballito” who is located between this building and the National Art Museum (MUNAL, Tacuba 8), opposite, which you can explore to your heart’s content but don’t forget to spend some time in the rooms exhibiting 20th-century Mexican art, past the far courtyard. Then go east to the Zocalo where you can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, Templo Mayor Museum and San Ildefonso. A late lunch is recomended at Centro Cultural España wich is behind the Cathedral. In the evening you can go back to the apartment and have some rest before having a nice dinner in one of the high-quality restaurants that the area offers, like "Azul Histórico" in Isabela Católica street. Other day you could go to Reforma Ave., home to many Mexico’s tallest buildings and important monuments such as the Angel of Independence. Then you have to visit the Chapultepec Castle: the only royal castle in North America. Built in the 18th century it was home to the Emperor Maximilian I and Empress Carlota. The Castle is located at the center of the Chapultepec Park, one of the largest city parks in the world, even bigger than New York City’s Central Park!! Near this amazing city lung you can find numerous museums like the National Museum of Anthropology and the Rufino Tamayo Museum. Then you can indulge yourself at one of the worldclass restaurants in Polanco. From our place you can also go southbound and visit Xochimilco, Tlalpan, University City, San Ángel or Coyoacán, otherwise head northbound to the Teotihuacán pyramids.

  • j'ai prit ce air bnb pour mes parents bien situé en centre ville juste un petit détail le linge de lit n'etait pas très propre et les serviettes un peu usée sinon pour le reste c'était bien

    Anthony2019-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for exploring the historic center. Very convenient for walking and catching public transportation and Uber. Plenty of nearby restaurants, bakeries, coffee places, bars, and convenience stores. Unit was very clean and as described. Check-in and check-out was very simple with the help of the building security guards. Host was very responsive and provided prompt assistance when needed. Large dispenser full of drinking water was provided, which was very thoughtful and helpful. On weekends, expect some late night activity in the building and on the street, but nothing out of the ordinary for a downtown area in such a large city.

We loved this apartment! It's gorgeous and clean and very well located. Francisco was a dream host! We had a red-eye flight and he met us very early in the morning so we could get in and rest. He was responsive and kind and if we ever come back to Mexico City we would definitely stay here. As a small aside, if you are light sensitive when you sleep you should bring eye masks. The sun light didn't bother me but it woke my partner up in the morning. The second day we bought a sleep mask and it was no problem. This apartment & Francisco made our stay extra nice.

We had 3 great nights at Natasha and Jorge's house. They were very accommodating, letting us arrive early in the morning on our first day, and were both super helpful recommending places to eat and drink. But they also gave us our own space to relax which was just what we needed after a long journey. The apartment is wonderfully located in lovely area Roma, we didn't use the bus or taxi once. Highly recommend!
