  • We loved spending our mini moon at bodhi's beach hut - it was perfect and we really appreciated the little extra details and the yummy carrot cake! The location is perfect, the local beach is beautiful and we had a great time in padstow and rock.

  • Just such an amazing place to stay! It had everything we could need and more. We were so impressed by the finishing touches and the luxury of the details - staying here really felt like such a treat. One stand out feature for us was the bed - we cannot stress enough how comfortable it is! Sleeping in it felt like a holiday in itself! The kitchen is really well equipped - I had everything I needed to make an early Christmas dinner! We also loved our morning coffee made using the Nespresso machine. We had the most perfect pre-Christmas mini break here and we will definitely be re-booking in 2017!

  • My partner and I came to stay with our puppy for the weekend and had the most amazing time. The cottage is fantastic; immaculately clean and well presented and the comfiest bed I've ever slept on! There are a ton of great beaches within a 5 minute drive from the cottage, as well as great restaurants and pubs in St Merryn and Padstow. I can't recommend it higher and will hope to come back again very soon!

  • This place is so lovely! It's a beautiful part of the country, a bunch of good restaurants and pubs nearby and a comfortable home. This was our second time here (I've never come back to an Airbnb before!) and we loved every minute of it. Thank you Tom!

The decor is so tastefully done. We cannot recommend Bodhi Beach Hut enough. Thank you to Tom and his family.

Immaculately presented get away for 2-6 people, Barn Cottage is an ideal getaway all year round. It's equally suited for families up to 6 or as a luxury retreat for couples. Renovated this year with a meticulous eye for detail with a private garden, log burner and central heating. Spacious master bedroom with king bed, a twin room and an annex with a king size bed and shower room. Ideally located 1 mile from beautiful Constantine Bay, 3 miles from Padstow and 5 miles from Watergate bay.
A blend of modern Cornish design and Seaside Chic, you’ll instantly fall in love with Barn Cottage when you arrive. Although the properly is large enough to easily accommodate 6 people, we often find that couples like to book it for shorter stays from September through to May for a romantic getaway and a base to explore Cornwall. Outside there is a generous private garden with a lawn and private patio, and log store. Through the front door there is an oak framed entrance and staircase. A hallway gives access to the bedrooms on the ground floor. The master bedroom features a king sized bed and en-suite with bath over shower and underfloor heating. French doors open directly out onto the slated patio. The twin bedroom (which can also be made up as a king sized bed on request) is next door to the downstairs bathroom with walk in shower. Just a few metres form the front door is the annex, which has a king sized bed, television and shower room, it’s ideal for some guests who may need a little extra privacy. Up the oak stairs and you will arrive in the generous kitchen diner. This gorgeous kitchen has a range cooker, dishwasher, Belfast sink, large fridge freezer and a washer/dryer. The stunning reclaimed elm dining table easily seats up to 6 guests. Adjacent to the kitchen down 2 small steps is the cozy lounge. This room really is very special with a feature stone wall and wood burner, beautiful furnishings and a smart tv. For anyone looking for somewhere that is that extra bit special for your Cornish holiday you won’t be disappointed with this property. If you have any questions or special requests please don't hesitate to get in touch. During the summer months we accept week long bookings with changeover’s on Saturday. Breaks of 3 nights or are available more from September- April.
Constantine Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in North Cornwall. However there are infact 7 stunning beaches within 7 miles if the property. With access to the coast only 1 mile away there are also several stunning walks, our favourite being Trevose Head. Padstow is only 3 miles away and is world famous for its restaurants, but walking distance from the cottage are several superb restaurants in St Merryn, including Rafferty's, Waves and Rick Steins Pub, the Cornish Arms.
  • Would definitely recommend a stay at Barn Cottage! The Cottage is very cozy, clean and with plenty of space for 2-4 people. We arrived a bit earlier than planned and Tom was very flexible with check in time, he was available if we needed anything but gave us plenty of privacy otherwise. The location is a quick drive from Padstow Harbour and very close to both Constantine and Harlem Bay- both stunning beaches! Wouldn't hesitate to go back again in the future.

  • Tom is an extremely helpful host, nothing was too much trouble. Barn Cottage is lovely place, great location, we were fortunate enough to visit as The Beer and Mussel festival took place, live music and fantastic food. The house was a real treat for us and we all felt so relaxed and cosy staying in a stylish yet homely place. Every room was amazingly clean. The beds where very comfy and the shower/bath was luxury, always hot water. Everything was lovely and I can't thank Tom enough for offering help if we got stuck in the snow!! (Beast from the east part 2) The only thing we could of done with was some was washing up liquid as we didn't want to use the washing machine for the odd glass or two. But apart from that it was perfect.

  • We had a lovely stay it was very brief, as my partner and I only booked our stay that morning and had to dash back two days later(we would have loved to have stayed longer). Tom our host was very helpful contacting us straight away and sending further direction. I would recommend our stay to everyone, the house was just what we were looking for, modern but cosy, clean and tidy- with the added extra of token chocolates, tea and coffee!!! We will definitely come back and stay in the summer

    Georgie2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in Tom's cottage - it was well equipped with great facilities and he was an accommodating host. The surrounding area is gorgeous and we even had good weather!

    Ellen2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tom was the perfect host he was available if we needed him for any reason. The cottage was perfect for our stay and it was so lovely to arrive to fresh flowers and locally baked cake. The barn was greta very spacious, great décor, clean, comfy beds (and pillows), wifi for my teenage sons, well stocked kitchen, nice soft towels, I could go on. in all the cottage made our stay perfect and I would definitely recommend and would return

    Jillian2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice cottage, exactly like the photos, good location and excellent recommendations from Tom when asking where to eat. One criticism lack of wardrobe space, but everything else considering the price was perfect

    Ian2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful house in a lovely setting. It was extremely stylish and very well appointed. The open plan living area was conducive to socialising and the dining area was great. Fixtures and furnishings were high quality and the house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The host Tom was so helpful; he responded promptly to all communications and gave us excellent advice about restaurants, taxis and local amenities. Highly recommend!

  • We've just returned from 4 nights at Barn cottage as a little minimoon getaway following our wedding... We arrived late afternoon and 1st impressions were very good...very clean outside..gardens very well maintained. Once we were inside we were amazed at how gorgeous it was! Very tastefully decorated...clean...very light...beautiful! Kitchen has literally every utensil, pot and pan you could ever need. Tom came and introduced himself and advised that if we needed anything that he was just next door.... All in all we had a lovely relaxing few days at barn cottage. The area around is fabulous and we enjoyed a few peaceful days of walking and enjoying the sea air! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage (or host!) to anyone...we would love to go back!

A warm welcome from us (and our dog Woody) await you in our cosy old terraced house, just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Wadebridge. Slate floors, beamed ceilings, quaint rooms and a pretty garden, along with a comfy bed and great wifi! During April through to September there is a minimum of 2 nights booking at weekends and during school holidays.
Kim & Guy invite you to come and stay in their lovely old terraced house in Wadebridge, in beautiful Cornwall. The house is Grade 2 listed and has lots of interesting history. The oldest rooms date from when it was a small detached farmhouse - 1770 we're told. It was then 'added on to' on either side to become part of a terrace (1800's). The kitchen ( and your bedroom above it) are the 'modern extension', built in 1901! We have a lovely beamed double bedroom available, with two windows overlooking the garden. It's slightly separate from the other bedrooms in the house. We try to make it really comfortable, & have included the things that we appreciate ourselves when we go away. This includes things like a bedside table and lamp each side of the bed (most important!). Various teas, coffee, biscuits etc are provided outside the room - feel free to help yourself. We make the bed extra comfortable - four soft pillows, 100% good quality cotton bedding, and a king size duvet on the double bed. Since the photo was taken we have changed the bed for one which has a wrought iron head and footboard. We've also added a table and chairs so you have somewhere to sit. There's a good internet signal in the bedroom. The shower room is almost en suite, next to the bedroom and again a bit separate from the rest of upstairs. It's 'sole use', and we provide towels on request. We also have a nice downstairs sitting room for your sole use. We'll make sure the dog makes room for you! It has a TV/DVD, and an open fire on chilly winter nights. You are welcome to use our kitchen/diner. We know how expensive it can get when you're on holiday & have to eat out all the time. We only ask that you eat meals here rather than in the bedroom. We're happy to lend wine glasses etc to take upstairs. You are welcome to use the garden. It's nice to sit out in the evening when the weather's warm. We also have a secure lockable shed in the garden if you bring bikes etc with you. We also have a studio where I make glass beads - these are for sale, or can be handmade to order while you're here. Or even better - learn to make your own 'flameworked' beads (£40 for a taster session of approx 2 -3 hours) - and have something special to take with you when you leave! PARKING: Parking is on the road at the end of the terrace, or just up the road or round the corner. Just to note that particularly in high season, the road outside gets busier with visitor parking as we are so close to town. The road gets MUCH quieter after 6.00pm, so that is an ideal time to arrive. Having said that, we (and guests) have always been able to park within one or two minutes walk of the house. You can always pull in to the lane right in front of the house to drop off luggage, you just can't park there. If parking is a worry for you we're always happy to move our own cars for you to park. As an absolute last resort (we've never had to), there's a pay and display car park at the bottom of the road.
Wadebridge is fabulously located, just 6 miles from the stunning North Cornwall coast. It's a small, pretty market town, with a pedestrianised shopping street full of independent shops - lots of little gift shops, pubs, deli's and restaurants. From our house it's just 3 minutes walk down the hill into town, so no worries about drinking and driving if you head out in the evening. In the town itself, there's plenty of places to eat and drink. This includes several traditional Cornish pubs, Indian restaurants, Chinese take aways, tapas bars, pizzerias, and plenty of small independent cafes and restaurants. We're happy to give you recommendations! Wadebridge has a lovely park, and the River Camel runs right through the middle of town. Alongside the river, the Camel Trail runs all the way to Padstow, 6 miles away to the west, and Bodmin to the East. This is a traffic free trail specifically for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. It's a beautiful place to stroll as it overlooks the river and then Estuary, so it's popular with bird watchers and photographers too. There's plenty of bike hire places in town. Wadebridge also has a sports centre, and a twin screen independent cinema too, so there's lots to do in the evenings. If you walk up the road rather than down, you're in open countryside within 5 minutes, with plenty of public footpaths & quiet county lanes to explore. Within a short drive (8 miles) is the pretty fishing port of Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame). The historic villages of Tintagel & Boscastle are just a few miles further up the road. The surfing beach of Polzeath, & the gorgeous beaches of Rock & Daymer Bay are 7 miles away. Padstow (7 miles) is a really pretty harbour town. It's home to Rick Stein and is well known for its fabulous range of restaurants. Again, you can safely cycle there from the house, and from there walk to a number of beautiful beaches. Many of the beaches face west so you can get amazing sunsets over the sea. Newquay, with good surfing beaches & nightlife, is 15 miles away. The Eden project approx 20 miles. We can tell you about lots of little hidden gems as well! Being fairly centrally situated in Cornwall, nowhere is very far away. A tour of Poldark Country down the A30 is easily do-able in a day. Obviously Cornwall is really popular in the summer, but personally we love it in the spring and autumn, when it's still mild, a lot quieter, and still as beautiful. And don't forget the wild winter waves....
  • I had a lovely stay, very friendly hosts and it was great talking to them both about the local area for house hunting. It was exactly what I was looking for, clean comfy room, warm and accommodating. A huge Thank you to Kim and Guy!

  • Had a fantastic time staying with Kim and Guy - lovely house, great people and a very warm, welcoming environment! Location is excellent too - it's within easy driving distance of many of Cornwall's best attractions. Would not hesitate in recommending a stay here, you won't regret it!

  • It was lovely to meet Kim and her family. Such wonderful and kind hosts. We enjoyed a fabulous workshop one morning where Kim taught us how to make glass beads. The room itself was lovely, everything you wish for. A large selection of breakfast was laid on the table each morning which was perfect! The location of the house is extremely central, a great base for visits to Padstow, Rock, Port Isaac and the beautiful beaches along the coast. I cannot recommend Kim's room highly enough. We would love to visit again!

  • We loved our stay in Wadebridge with Kim. It was the perfect base to travel around all of Cornwall and we received excellent advice on where to go. Kim was kind enough to lend us their road map and blanket for when we went to the amazing Minack Theatre, and provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning. Kim's home was absolutely beautiful- I especially loved all of the rosettes pinned to the rafters in her kitchen! The room itself is so quaint with wooden beams and lovely sash windows overlooking the stunning garden. The bed was really comfortable, there was tea and coffee in the room as well as a little jar of biscuits, and lots of leaflets to peruse and plan your time in the area. Her friendly dog was also a highlight! I would highly recommend it and would definitely go back to stay with Kim again. Thanks so much !

    Wadebridge, Wielka Brytania

Traditional British seaside holiday house, shabby and run down, but full of character, with spacious garden and stunning Atlantic views, in sought-after location. Self catering for 6-11; 2 baths; wi-fi. Golf, surf, cliff walks, sailing, waterskiing, fishing, gourmet Padstow. The Camel Estuary on Cornwall's rugged and romantic Atlantic north coast is one of England’s most desirable, yet understated, up-market hideaways - for everyone, not just for the two princes, prime ministers (all regular visitors), etc.. Whether it is cliff-top hikes, fishing, surfing, sailing, visiting historic houses (Lanhydrock, etc), the Tate Gallery at St Ives, the Eden Project or just savouring the seafood and other tastes of Padstow (gourmet capital of the UK, made famous by TV chef Rick Stein) or Nathan Outlaw in Rock, King Arthur’s Castle (Knights of the Round Table legend) and lots more, there’s something here for you too. And there’s classic British links golf: within 10 minutes drive is St Enodoc, recently rated no 35 in the world outside the US. Indeed, the Atlantic coast is home to several other renowned links: (URL HIDDEN) tells all... St Petroc sleeps 7-9 in a typical 1920s English seaside holiday house. It has a lot of charm, but is also run down and one often can sense the damp, especially out of summer. The description 'run down' also means that some parts of the house do not look clean, despite the fact that they have been cleaned: they are just showing their age!! If you are looking for a modern villa (and/or not a sense of adventure), this is not the place for you. But nearly everyone who stays there (in some cases, once over the initial reaction to the foregoing!) doesn't want to leave. This house has been in our family for over 60 years: despite the 'run-down' label we have done some careful updating of the facilities, including a new bathroom and new storage heaters. We have also upgraded some of the furniture, and added broadband wi-fi and two flat screen TVs. So why do we get more repeat tenants at this property than at any of our other properties? Perhaps you should come and see for yourself... Not recommended for the elderly, pregnant nor families with young children. Highly recommended for weather-beaten surfers, golfers, sailors and cliff-walkers and, out of the peak summer season, groups seeking a bit more of a roof over their heads compared to tents at the local camp-site for not much more. The whole house is accessible to guests, excepting a few cupboards for owners' possessions. We decommissioned the old external-access WC many years ago, having converted one bedroom into a second bathroom. We have also closed up the front door, enabling us to use the porch for storage, and the property is entered through the kitchen door; both doors access the main parking area, so this doesn't cause any particular inconvenience. The yellow bathroom is normally used for washing wetsuits and there is no pressure on the shower attachment; the owner still uses the bathtub, but most guests prefer to use the one in the second bathroom. Our caretaker lives close by and is available to assist guests. In addition, our administrator is available on the phone. As is normal for Cornish holiday lets, we do not supply linen and towels. If guests require these, we can supply them by special arrangement. The corner of our garden is the highest point between surfashionable Polzeath and desirable Trebetherick, 5 minutes from Rock and St Enodoc, and a short ferry ride from gourmet Padstow. There is little in the way of public transport, so guests are advised to come by car. The house is in a run-down and shabby state (incl. not all wallpaper in its original place!), so if you are looking for an up-market villa, this is not the right place for you. Having said this, it has an olde-worlde charm that most of our guests love. Those who 'get' it, keep returning year after year. If this description is not your cup of tea, please don't reserve this property - we can recommend alternatives.
Polzeath is one of the UK's top surfing resorts, set against the drama of North Cornwall's Atlantic coast, at the head of The Camel Estuary, is a natural playground for holidaymakers of all ages - watersports, golf, hiking, gourmet Padstow, you name it... The Camel Estuary (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) is a broad tidal river valley, over half a mile wide at Padstow. It stretches lazily inland for five miles up to Wadebridge. A tranquil and intimate landscape, it gains a sense of shelter and richness from the many small woods and creeks that flank the estuary. On the hilltops, the full impact of the coastal winds is felt, with long distance views down the estuary to the sea. Numerous small quays line the estuary and its creeks. Small lanes are bound by high hedges and overhung with trees, with the popular Camel Cycle Trail linking Bodmin and Padstow.
  • The most beautiful location, as described the house is certainly not a luxury listing, but who needs that when the south west coast is at your doorstep, a great weekend away.

    Sophie2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • St Petroc is in a superb location. There is a path to the cliff top and then a fairly short walk to Polzeath beach. The view from the house is lovely and plenty of room in the garden for children to run around. Don't be put off by the undeniably shabby exterior and very dated interior. The kitchen is really well equiped, the electric shower is great and the bedding was clean and of good quality. So much room, fantastic location and very reasonably priced.

    Gwyn2018-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • A property full of character that matches the host's frank description. It's an absolute gem, nestled above the coastal path between the surfing mecca of Polzeath and calmer waters of Daymer Bay, with both shops and rugged nature located close by. The location is the key attribute here, whether you're sat indoors observing the rabbits running around on the lawn, enjoying the sea breeze in the garden, or down the track on the cliffs watching the waves crash against the rocks. Hosts are communicative and there's a sense of personality in the rather extensive guidelines/instructions for guests. The faint-hearted may prefer summer months as the house has no central heating, although it's perfectly possible to keep warm throughout the year as the host explains.

    Giles2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • St Petroc is an amazing venue for all sort of people, with a very homely feel and HUGE garden it was the perfect place for us. A short 7min walk to the beech made it even better. When looking though the photos while booking I thought one of them had been photo shopped (though the living room window) but I can assure you this is real. The view is really that great! Would go again

    Andy2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for a family weekend, lots of space for everyone. Short walk to the beach and ideal place to stay with dogs, House full of character and as expected, kitchen had lots of pots and pans if you want to cook. Would definitely like to return when weather better and rest of our party feel the same! Mary was there to meet us on time and at the end of a phone if needed and owner even bought some more heaters to make sure we were warm enough during the coldest week of the year.

    Anya2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage in an amazing area, we really enjoyed our stay here! The host describes the cottage very accurately, and it feels very homely inside. Great value for money. The area the house is in is ideal, there is a really great pub 5 mins walk away, and an amazing beach about 7 min walk away, great for surfing!!! Will definitely return when next visiting the area!

    Hannah2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful venue for a weekend away with friends. The house was clean and spacious, with excellent views of the ocean, and Mary, the caretaker, could not have been more helpful. We made full use of the BBQ in the evening and spent our day walking to Rock along the beach. Would highly recommend and would hope to return.

    Jon2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • St Petroc is exactly as described by William, it oozes character and charm. You can positively feel the layers of pleasure this cottage has given to his family and guests over the years, it is well lived in indeed. As well as being situated in such a superb location for a family holiday, St Petroc became an integral part to our memorable experience, and we would like to thank you William and Mary

Jan is a delightful host that is happy to direct you to all the great eating spots in the surrounding area. The neighbourhood has a lively youthful energy and is right near but not too close to all the action of King St. A great little hidey hole to return to each night and unwind.

Edwina was an amazing host! It is like visiting an old friend. She knows how to make you feel comfortable. The place is clean, the bed is comfortable and the room is filled with sun. Furniture, pillows on the bad, pictures on the wall, flowers, everything make the place very homey. Furthermore, the stylish and beautiful Paris the cat gives an enormous charm to the hose. Edwina also is tremendously generous person in terms of her time food driving around. Many, many thanks! I would definitely stay with her again and recommend her place to all the lovely people on the AirBnB.
