  • Arlene met us and was very cordial. We enjoyed the place and was a nice location. It was nice to have off street parking.

  • Sadly we only got to stay at Arlenes one night, but we were all glad we did. It was a perfect, luxurious way to spend and relax our last night after 10 days of driving round pretty much the whole of Scotland! The apartment itself was extremly clean, well equipped and massive! Arlene was superb throughout whole booking period and was super relaxed when we had to change our arrival time due to sat nav shenanigans.... hope to return again, but this time for a few more nights and to really take in Glasgow.

    James2015-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • This residence exceeded our expectations, which were high to begin with. Arlene was very accommodating and her taste in design fit our needs. This is truly a one of a kind setting and home. We will always remember this experience!

  • Absolutely gorgeous house, easy to get in and collect keys perfect location for what we wanted

    Susan2015-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice experience at the church conversion! Arlene was a pleasure to work with on the booking and made herself available during the trip in case we needed anything. Before the trip she sent me contact information and recommendations for taxi companies and was always very responsive. My family of 5 stayed at the church conversion for a week through Christmas. Arlene dropped off a Christmas card and left a small fake table tree for me to decorate - this made me feel right at home during the holidays! The house itself is a little out of the city center. My family and I took a cab every where we went (the cabs always showed up within 5 min max, it was great!) for around 8 (city centre) -12 (west end) Pounds. It is also next to a nice park where we went running in on Christmas morning. Very quiet and safe feeling neighborhood. Would recommend the home if you are looking for a place to stay in Glasgow!

  • The host canceled this reservation 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Myra2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tolle Unterkunft in guter Lage.

    Vera2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay in a beautifully restored church that was in a great location. We were right across the street from Queens park and within walking distance to the train to Glasgow center. Would stay here again and recommend to all!

In 1989 the development was converted from the warehouse building of Speirs Wharf, forming 150 loft-style residential apartments, a private leisure centre, and 19 commercial units. During the 19th Century, Speirs Wharf was at the hub of Glasgow's industrial revolution, with work commencing on the first phase of its development in 1811. The single building at the entrance to the development was built in 1812 as the offices for Forth & Clyde Navigation Co. In 1851, the City of Glasgow Grain Mills & Stores owned by John Currie & Co followed. Subsequent additions followed between 1869 and 1870. Originally the mills had 20 pairs of mill stones and a 100 horse power condensing engine. Glasgow remains the city of choice in Scotland, the city has a well deserved reputation and is regularly voted the UK shopping destination outside of London. All tastes are catered for, from the more exclusive boutiques of Princes Square and the Italian Centre, to the independent retailers and thrift stores of the West End, and not forgetting the Glasgow institution The Barras Market. For those with an interest in art, you will be glad to know that Glasgow is home to many galleries and museums, with wide and varied exhibitions, most of which are free to visit. Music fans will love the vibrant music scene in Glasgow. Live music is a regular feature in many pubs, and the city itself hosts some of the biggest names in the UK and international music scene. Annual festivals are held in the city, including the Jazz Festival and Celtic Connections. If sports and leisure is your thing, Glasgow is home to Scotland's two biggest football clubs. If you prefer to participate than to watch, there are a number of gyms, leisure clubs, and outdoor pursuits to keep you fit and help you to make new friends. Glasgow by Night Glasgow offers a vast selection of pubs and clubs throughout the city making it an extremely popular destination for it's nightlife. The diverse range of restaurants across Glasgow's sprawling metropolis has something to offer everyone - whether you're planning a group function for a special occasion or just a business lunch. Glasgow has food as unique and cultured as it's visitors. The West End of the city centre is filled with chic and sophisticated yet not pretentious pubs and cocktail bars, Ashton lane, a cobble stone alley is a popular haunt for tourists and locals and features a number or stylish bars such as Brel and Vodka Wokda. The adjoining Byres Road, a lengthy main road, offers similar styled bars albeit more due to its much larger size. Sauchiehall Street is amongst the most popular nightlife hot spots in the city, the long road is crammed with pubs, clubs and restaurants. It features a wide range of fashionable bars, notable favourites include Bar Buddha, Campus (also a club), Driftwood, Firewater and many others. However areas such as Bath Street and others situated nearby also feature a wonderful selection of bars and although Sauchiehall Street is amongst the most popular, almost every street in the city centre is crammed with bars. The Club scene in Glasgow is fantastic, with new clubs consistently being added to the already large number throughout the city. Sauchiehall Street boasts such favourites as Campus, Blanket, Destiny and the extremely popular Garage. Royal Exchange Square and nearby streets feature popular venues such as Mas, The Social, One up, Cathouse and The Tunnel. Many more are spread across the city centre. With a large and vibrant gay community, the city centre features a number of gay bar and nightclubs as well as many clubs featuring their own gay night once a week. Popular venues include The Polo Lounge, AXM, Katies Bar, Moda, Delmonicas and the Revolver Bar, most of which are situated within the Merchant City Area. There is something for everyone in Glasgow.
  • Posto fantastico in una città accogliente

  • The flat was in a great location about a 10 minute walk from town yet quiet. Having the canal setting made for a fantastic stay. The place was very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches which made the stay outstanding and unforgettable. Also the still of the place made for a really trendy retreat!!

    Martin2014-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great apartment with all the small details of a luxury hotel - everything from extra towels for the swimming pool, slippers to use during your stay, high-end TVs and generally very posh apartment. We were able to walk into town for dinner and yet the apartment is just outside so you are in a quiet area near the canal. You have the entire apartment to yourself so this is a great place if you need privacy or quiet. The check in was easy and the pictures are very accurate. It was a great place that we wished we could have stayed longer.

  • Lovely little flat to get away for a weekend. The pool, etc is a definite must! Just what we needed!

  • Great stay at Snuggle. Easy to get In and out of town (walking, taxi or subway) and having access to the spa/pool was a big bonus.

A large double room in our beautiful old (1824) townhouse, in the centre of historic Stirling. Stirling Castle is 10 minutes walk away; the rail & bus stations are 5 minutes. A help-yourself breakfast is provided in the room. On-street car parking.
The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a double bed, sofa, coffee table, books, board games and dvds (and a dvd player). There is wireless internet. Bread, fruit, cereal, porridge, yoghurt, tea and coffee are provided so you can help yourself to breakfast. There's a fridge, toaster, and kettle in the room.
Stirling is a great place to stay, and our house is right in the heart of it. You can visit Stirling Castle (recently voted best visitor attraction in Scotland!) and wander round the fascinating old town, with many buildings dating back to the 1500s. The Wallace Monument is just across the valley - in fact you can see it from the kitchen window! The best TripAdvisor restaurant in Stirling (Green Gates Indian) is 20 seconds away, with other pubs and restaurants nearby. Stirling is great for shopping, with lots of independent shops and all the big high street names. The beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs national park is a 30 minute drive away.
  • Greg and Rosa are wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed meeting them. Although we were well prepared for our travels they had a few ideas that we incorporated into our sightseeing. The room is lovely! Huge and clean, and Greg and Rosa stocked our fridge and breakfast items every evening - great job! The location is tremendous - easy walking to the castle, the shops, pubs, and very convenient parking too! Highly recommended!!

  • Very friendly couple, in a really nice apartment, in the centre of Stirling. The room was perfectly furnished with tourist guides, board games, heaters, mini fridge... Breakfast was also good. Perfect experience!

  • Had a great stay at Greg and Rosa's, fantastic big cosy room, with bread, milk, cereal, jam, coffee and tea a real class act. Close to shops and the heritage of Stirling, an ideal spot for some relaxing reflection, sightseeing and a little shopping. Would highly recommend the Big Room, Rosa and Greg made me very welcome and were ideal hosts a good advert for Airbnb.

  • Rosa and Greg er virkelig gode airbnb værter.

  • Rosa & Greg are very friendly and nice people. They have a very cute baby, Leo, which we didn't hear at all. The room is clean, bright and big. You can make breakfast yourself at your room. We were also free to use the kitchen and the terrace. Wonderful place close to the centre of a beautiful city!

    Stien2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rosa and Greg were great hosts. They welcomed us into their home like we were old friends. The room is set up nicely with directions for Wifi, board games, movies, and a small dormitory refrigerator with some snacks, water, and breakfast food. These were great welcoming gestures after a long journey. They were welcoming but not overbearing which allowed us to have our privacy which I appreciated. The house is in a great location only a few blocks from the train station and Stirling Castle. You can access taxis, buses, and train very easily as well as walk to stores, restaurants, and historic sites. This was very convenient since we came in via train and couldn't have asked for a better location. The neighborhood is peaceful and welcoming. I would definitely come back.

  • I felt very welcome. Parking was right opposite. The room was perfect in every way and I felt very welcome. Breakfast was provided in the room. I also had use of the kitchen next door where I could prepare my evening meal. Loads of hot water for a lovely bath in the morning.

  • Our group of 8 guys had a wonderful birthday weekend away for my younger brother in this fantastic property. We were made to feel instantly welcome by our hosts (Kenneth and Margaret) who were staying in the garden summerhouse for the duration of our stay and made it clear they were on hand and happy to help should we need anything. The property was perfect for our needs being ideally situated for travel across central Scotland, being near rail links and supermarkets, but also being private enough to feel you are "getting away from it all". The two big tables/spaces in the kitchen and dining room were wonderful for group meals and a board game party respectively, and the bedrooms (including beautiful ensuite/bathroom facilities and 2 luxurious jacuzzi tubs) were spacious and spread out enough that we all felt we still had our own personal space in the property for relaxing at night or during the day. Can imagine this space being more than suitable for any number of gatherings for family and friends, and with such warm, friendly and welcoming hosts in Kenneth and Margaret I am sure you would have as good a time as we did!

  • It was a beautifull house, it has a privileged location due to it's closeness to edimburg and Glasgow. The rooms are modern and very confortable. The hosts are amazing, very nice people.

  • Kennedy house is a fantastic large space to enjoy a family gathering. Myself and partner Megan booked the house for our wedding weekend for Megan to get ready the night/morning of the wedding and for all the family to unwind the day after. Margaret and Ken were great and showed us around the property and the lovely welcome pack was much appreciated. The few negatives were some bathroom features (shower) were unusable and cosmetic damage to ceilings due to a previous guest, these had not been highlighted prior to check in. Additionally the Lane leading to the house is very poor state of repair and any low car ie Porsche etc would be unable to park at the property and would have to find alternative parking. On the topic of the Lane my partner was sworn at and verbally abused by a neighbour of the property simply because we were staying and did not approve of the short term rentals of the property, obviously this is outwith a guests control. Ken and Margaret were very understanding when told about the situation however it slightly dampened our experience considering it occurred on the morning of our wedding just as my partner was leaving for the venue.

A beautiful apartment in a great location. The bed was super comfortable. Lots of closet and drawer space to put away our things in. Easy to follow instructions on how to use everything. The kitchen and living area is super, with a high ceiling, functional kitchen, round table with seating for four and comfy couches. The bathroom has the best and longest bathtub ever. There are lots of cafés, pubs, restaurants and bakeries nearby and the Underground is a short walk away. We fell in love with walking along the River Kelvin and stopping into the Inn Deep Pub. Our only regret was the shortness of our time in Glasgow. We would love to stay here again.

Lewis's flat is great - warm, comfortable, light and only a short bus/taxi ride to town - and he made checking in and out easy. Would definitely recommend his place.

This apartment was fantastic. It was incredibly spacious, bright, well appointed, and conveniently located to the bus and train. Liliana made the extra effort to contact me and make sure we got in when my phone failed me. I really recommend this apartment if you are staying in Glasgow. The only downside was some street noise in the area, but that is the price you pay for staying downtown.
