  • Alex's loft was awesome and perfect for the three of us. We arrived late Thursday night and met with Alex's cousins who showed us the features of the AirBnb and gave us some local tips around the neighborhood. The AirBnb was incredibly unique and the rooftop balcony was the main selling point for us. Enjoying a beer from El Deposito (beer store around the corner) and hanging out on the roof was a blast. The only warnings I'd give are the stairs are kind of intense with luggage and Mexico City's altitude.

  • Alex was very helpful with coordinating check in and Laura and Andrea (who actually met us at the property) greeted us even it was very late. The loft itself is minimal and the bed was quiet a bit of a challenge for us as a taller couple, because not even a queensize. The rooftop area is great and hard to find in (Website hidden by Airbnb) a climb to the top floor, nothing for elderly people and not easy with the luggage but we made it. Overall we had a great time at Alex‘s place.

  • Alex's loft is a true gem! The terrace and view are absolutely stunning and the loft was clean and cool. Alex's brother was very kind and thoughtful showing us how things worked and Alex himself was extremely quick to respond and helpful when we texted him a question about taxis. While it may have lacked a bit in water pressure, the shower water is heated by the sun which we thought was pretty rad. The neighbourhood is our favourite in Mexico City and we will definitely try to stay here again next time we are in the D.F. We miss that winding staircase up to the sky already. Thank you, Alex!

Vielen Dank Alex.

  • Chic place, great neighborhood close to many of the best restaurants in Mexico! I loved the sweet balcony. Birds sang to me every morning from there.

  • Great spot!! The neighborhood is amazing, close to the best restaurants and bars. We had lovely moments sitting in the beautiful terrace and enjoying the simplicity of interiors. We'll be back definitely!

  • It was an excellent stay. Very clean, with a beautiful patio and view! I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi unfortunately. My girlfriend was able to connect, but was a poor signal. Other than that minor thing, we very much enjoyed our stay there, and would definitely recommend to others. Thank you Alex!

Stay in an awesome place. Famous by it´s organic architecture. Sleep inside Quetzalcoatl and enjoy it´s marvelous gardens and creative spaces. Fully equipped. 4 bedroom, plus 1 additional. 10 persons. Laundry room. Bread, fruit & coffee included.
It is paradise in the city. This place is perfect for anyone who loves nature, silence, woods, architecture, and some one who wants to recover it´s capacity to amaze. It has a park with botanical gardens, a cave of minerals and lakes to go around. It is a perfect place for small groups on retreats, to write, to meditate, for yoga, for walking, for a nice rest.
Close to us there is a very small shopping mall, with a Starbucks coffee, wings army a small supermarket and pharmacy. We are about 30min from downtown. Very close to us is the Basilica de los Remedios one of the Most ancient churches in Latin America.
  • Excelente hospitalidad, experiencia completa con la naturaleza, tour enriquecedor.

  • This is the most uniquely-amazing place that I and every future visitor will EVER stay in your life!!! The safely gated neighborhood and property and living spaces are tranquil, they blend in so wonderfully with the expansive acreage of nature that surrounds it. From its endless rolling manicured lawns, lakes, floating bridges, caves, gardens, walkways, sculptures, and mountain views you will experience feeling unknown to you before and find a place here made especially for you in its ever unfolding hidden spaces of zen. Superb Property Host: Before I ever met our Host Patricia, I felt like she was my best friend, offering prompt responsive service, recommendations and being very neighborly, Patricia makes you feel like family, so awesome- she is well rounded, super friendly and is an automatic friend kind of person. Personally I was debating on staying at a 4 to 5 star hotel while in Mexico City. Stumbling upon this location during my search was the best overnight find/deal in my life. You get so much free space here and tranquility no hotel in Mexico can ever offer (Website hidden by Airbnb) When in Mexico City I will ALWAYS stay here and have never stopped recommending Quetzalcoatl's Nest to family, friends and coworkers. When you are here you will not believe you are here, it is that amazing. Beyond expectations and your imagination you will find it hard to leave. Whether traveling alone or with a group reserve your stay in this piece of heaven. Also search Youtube for videos of this property (Website hidden by Airbnb) Thank you Patricia for making our stay so great (Website hidden by Airbnb) See you soon again- Larry Quinones

  • Es nuestra segunda visita al Nido y Patricia siempre con una actitud genial y un trato excelente, muy recomendado!

  • Staying here is more than staying in a house it’s is a full blown incredible experience and I would urge you to stay here if you can. For a group it is great value. The photos give a sense but it is even more amazing in real life. Take up the offer of a tour if one is available and you will see so much of the huge gardens and incredible organic sculptures and buildings. Patrícia was a wonderful kind host and we feel very lucky to have met her and stayed in this world class piece of architectural art!

  • This was a magical place with a magical host. Our host Patricia was better than any concierge at a 5 star hotel. Not only did she provide us with enough bread, fruit, and drinks for several breakfasts, she also assisted us in ordering delivery of 2 evening meals (pizza and Japanese food). Patricia also arranged for us to take 2 excellent full day tours (pyramids and historic Mexico City) with Alberto of "Secrets of Mexico City." (Website hidden by Airbnb) Alberto is a great tour guide and his English is excellent. Patricia's tour of the grounds and adjacent private park was extra special. Do not miss the stained glass greenhouse. Our kids loved the slide in the botanical garden. TIP #1: Bring warm pajamas because the condo. unit gets cold at night in the winter. When you get home at night start the modern space heaters in the bedrooms and close the doors. The rooms will be toasty by the time you go to bed. Tip#2: Do some internet research on architect Javier Senosiain before your trip and the experience will be even more magical.

  • This is one of the most unique places to stay in Mexico! The reservation comes with a private tour which is incredible, words can not describe the incredible grounds and green house. Patricia was great and had great communication and hospitality. The house was private and we felt like the only ones there even though there are other apartments. The next time in Mexico I will definitely be back here. Its the perfect mix while staying in the city for a few days and getting away for a couple days here to see this beautiful architecture!

  • Paty es super buena anfitriona. Siempre amable y amistosa. El lugar es hermoso, no le falta nada.Muy recomendable

  • Quetzalcoatls Nets isn't just another Airbnb. No words or pictures would be enough to describe this place. I've been using Airbnb for 7 years in several countries, and this is by far the best experience I've had. We were welcomed with some fruits, sweet breads, coffee and other things and even had a breakfast made for us. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious and has everything you'd need for your stay. Patricia is really fantastic! She provided a 3-4 hour tour around the park and has a lot of knowledge about the place's history, the architect and all the amazing plants, flowers and trees you can find around. I am sure everyone will be delighted by this unique experience.

Wonderful location! One-bedroom loft with nice living room, good natural light, quiet and wide kitchen. Can accommodate 2 persons comfortably. Many good restaurants and eateries nearby; also top shops and boutiques. Plenty of transportation options. (If you need parking space, please let me know.)
An open loft, very comfortable, with a nice living room (witha queen size inflatable mattress, if needed) and wide kitchen with all equipment. Good natural light. Quiet. Very nice.
Best location in Mexico City. Within walking distance to major hotels, high-end shops and boutiques, art galleries, great restaurants, bars and eateries in Polanco. Close to Reforma Avenue, Chapultepec Park, Anthropology and Modern Art museums. Convenience stores close by.
  • Great location and safe

  • Amazing location, great host, and thoughtful. Nando made everything very easy and I will be staying at his location again.

  • Polanco is a perfect neighborhood to stay for a week in MexicoCity. Nando's place is well located. It's one block away from a great juice/sandwich place called Ojo de Aqua. We ate many breakfasts and lunches there. The condo is also two blocks away from Polanco Metro and a large supermarket right by the metro. Nando is very responsive ND helpful. We had thought we could uldnt get into Casa de Luis Barragán since the website said all appointments were full for the week. But Nando was able to get a reservation for us! Polanco has lots of first class restaurants. We dined in Quintonil twice. It's top notch cuisine and reasonably priced (by US standard). We reserved for dinner in Pujol since it's a well known Michelin 3 star restaurant. But both my husband and I think Quintonil is much better. We got around Mexico City by Metro and Uber rides Metro ride costs 5 pesos each and Uber rides were really inexpensive! Both very efficient ways to get around the city. Nando's place is very well equipped and has lots of natural light throughout the condo. We really enjoyed staying there and highly recommend it!

  • I stayed in this great place for two weeks and have no complaints. It could not have been located in a better neighborhood, with great restaurants, museums and the subways station. The loft is beautifully decorated (minimalist style), but also comfortable and quiet. For anyone visiting the city for business, this place is ideal.

  • Excelente host, el departamente esta de lujo en una zona perfecta de la ciudad. Recomiendo mucho el lugar.

  • Polanco is an amazing neighborhood and Fernando's loft is just down the street from an awesome taqueria called el Faralito. The flat is comfortable and is exactly how it is described.

I enjoy living and working in Downtown and will be glad to introduce you to the magic of Mexico City. Feel comfortable to write to me if you need anything in particular, I might be able to get it for you. Enjoy your journey.
The Centro Historico is up and running, though vibrant it is statistically the safest neighbourhood in the City, it is named after its historical position and its colonial period buildings and monuments, like the main plaza Zocalo, the Templo Mayor pyramids, the Cathedral, Bellas Artes, the Murals, the Torre Latinoamericana, and some of Mexico’s finest historic and contemporary museums. Clean and safe, close to grocery stores and great places to eat out, like the gourmet market of San Juan, traditional Mexican and International restaurants and taquerias/cantinas, all budgets. Enjoy a morning run or night walk in the recently restored Alameda park.
  • A minute from the hustle and bustle of Calle Madero you enter the massive door into a tranquil courtyard. The duplex is beautiful! Three floor to ceiling windows (with heavy drapes ) open onto sweet balconies. The building is period but the interior is modern , think New York loft! Very cool! The photographs do not do it justice. Very well equipped with high quality linens, dishes etc and a dreamily comfortable bed! The massive living room boasts a super comfortable sofa and good lighting. Juan Carlos is a delight, a most genial host! We have already passed info along to everyone we meet who asks about our stay because we wholeheartedly recommend The Duplex! We will definitely return!

  • The neighbourhood around the loft is incredible. You are near a great pedestrians-only street (Madero). Go east and you are blocks away from the marvelous Zocalo, with the Metropolitan Cathedral, the ruins of the Aztec pyramid, and the Diego Rivera murals in the Government Palace. Go west and have breakfast in the Sanborns House of Tiles and visit the gorgeous marble Palace of Fine Arts. Juan Carlos, our host, was very welcoming and answered all our questions whenever we contacted him. The loft had been recently vacated, and he made sure that when we got there it was spotless. We liked the privacy of the loft. It's a beautiful building with ample room for two couples. The thick walls insulate it from the hustle and bustle of downtown Mexico. We bought groceries and cooked some simple meals there. We'd recommend it to friends, and it has been a great first couple of experiences in Airbnb, which I had never tried before. I'd definitely go back to the Loft in my next visit.

  • This was a wonderful AIRBNB experience. First and foremost, we can't praise our host enough. Juan Carlos provided detailed information prior to our arrival, took time out of his busy schedule to greet us at the apartment, and was quick to answer any questions we had during our two week stay. He is warm, considerate, attentive, and very respectful of his guests' privacy. I feel we have made a friend and hope he will come to visit us in Canada. The apartment itself was great. We were hoping for reasonably priced accommodation, close to all the action in the centre of the city, but also somewhere cool and peaceful we could return to at night. On top of all that, we were hoping for a place with colonial character. Casa Borda met all of these crtieria and more! Leaving behind the bustling Calle Bolivar, one enters the Casa Borda complex through a hefty and very secure wooden door. As soon as that door shuts behind, you enter a beautiful courtyard and are enveloped in a sense of calm. You can choose steps or a well-functioning elevator to take you two stories up to the apartment. The apartment itself has a very spacious feeling, partly because of the loft design and partly because of the three sets of fantastic, enormous, glass doors that open onto the courtyard below. Upstairs, the bathroom, too, is spacious. The bed is VERY comfortable with good reading lights on either side, and there is plenty of space to store your clothes and luggage. Downstairs, the corner couch is also very comfortable. There are an additional two benches/beds for accommodating extra people, and the dining table can easily sit four people. While the TV doesn't have cable, we found several excellent dvds (either English or with English subtitles) to entertain us on evenings when we chose to stay home. The kitchen has a full-sized fridge and freezer, a toaster oven, an electric kettle, a coffee maker, two electric hot-plates, and plenty of dishes, cutlery, utensils, and saucepans. So if you want to prepare a light meal, everything you need is at hand. In that regard, we took some home-made granola with us for breakfast and supplemented it with apple-yogurt (delicious) from the very handy OXXO store right next door. That's where we bought our bottled/potable water too. And as Juan Carlos had indicated, the tiny cafe under Casa Borda makes superb coffee. We also loved the cafe's baguettes and its relaxed, convivial atmosphere. Casa Borda is in easy walking distance to the zocalo, to museums, to a major craft market, to a fresh-produce market (amazing!!), and to a north-american-type supermarket. As well, it's close to the city's impressive metro system (incredibly cheap -- just avoid rush-hours). Our thanks again to Juan Carlos for a wonderful stay.

  • My boyfriend and I were both very impressed with the Duplex! The apartment is located in the heart of the downtown just a few blocks away from the Zocolo and is the perfect place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. Juan Carlos is very helpful, friendly, and all around an excellent host. The guide book he has put together for visitors was a great reference for nearby restaurants and nightlife. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely visit again!

  • Juan Carlos arranged to meet with us upon arrival and was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay the couple of times we had to contact him (once for airport transportation and once because I almost lost an earring down the sink due to my own carelessness). The accomodations are as described -- sparse yet very comfortable -- and the building (a historic one) extremely grand and beautiful, and most importantly for us, very quiet. After Mexico's busy streets and often snarled traffic, especially around El Centro (the historic center), where this building is located, you will need a quiet haven to return to, trust me. We are a couple who stayed there for 12 days without a car (we used taxis to get around and walked a lot, although the Metro and buses are also possibilities). The bed in the main room was very comfortable and the water in the shower hot. We used the kitchen for very light cooking (basically heating tortillas). Juan Carlos left a book full of helpful recommendations. There's no cable (which we knew) so bring DVDs if you like; we used the wireless (very fast) to stream movies at night. We debated about whether to stay in Roma/Condesa or El Centro, but this place was (by far) the nicest Airbnb accommodation available when we were looking and, for our very first trip, it was convenient to make El Centro the base for explorations. Overall, the apartment more than met our expectations and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you, Juan Carlos!

  • This place was so incredibly comfortable! It was very easy to find and check-in and Juan Carlos was very friendly over the phone. The streets outside are bustling with activity but as soon as you step in to the courtyard of this building, it's nearly silent and you feel like you've just stepped back in time three centuries. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special experience staying in the centro historico!

  • We loved The Duplex. It was better than the pictures. Comfortable and nicely decorated with artistic touches and a great amount of reference books and material about Mexico city and the neighborhood. Very grand!

  • The flat is exactly as advertised. Beautiful building right in the middle of town but quiet and peaceful inside. We found our stay to be comfortable and relaxing. JC has all of the basic amenities covered. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you JC, for a wonderful stay! We can wait to return to the DF

This really is such a great location, and the apartment looks just like the pictures. Hugo was very kind to help us with our bags when we arrived and was very accessible as we tried to get from the airport to the apartment. Hugo was also very amicable and helpful. I think we needed more attention than usual travelers and he was happy to oblige. The bedroom has two beds which is very convenient, and a lot of space to have your stuff, including a whole closet. The whole apartment was very clean. The only limitations I would have about this listing is that the room is not very dark and during our stay there was construction which was easily heard. So bring your face masks and your ear plugs! The bathroom was stocked with towels and bathroom accouterments.
