We were disappointed not enough linen was supplied, one of our key passes for the lift didn't work, we were unable to contact the host during our stay and an important item that we left behind in the apartment and called about as soon as we left was appently not found by the cleaners.

  • We stayed for 3 nights and were thrilled at the location of this apartment. Belinda and Blake were so welcoming and helpful. Due to traffic congestion on Bruce Highway, we needed to delay our arrival time. Belinda was willing to accommodate us and met us later in the day than first organised. The apartment was clean, tidy and was ideal for our trip. Highly recommended. Definitely happy to stay here again.

    Self-contained, air-conditioned guest suite with private entry and ensuite. Host family lives upstairs, you stay downstairs. You have your own space with a modern private ensuite and private keyed entry. A kitchen is also available for your use between the hours of 7am and 10am each morning (for breakfast) and between 5pm and 9pm each evening (for dinner) - see pics!. Free use of bicycles (2) included; easy access to CBD & Southbank via designated bikeway (no sharing road with cars!).
    Small modern self-contained air-conditioned suite. You have your own private entrance and key to come and go as you please from your own private space. The room has its own modern private ensuite (not shared) . You also have sole/exclusive use of a modern kitchen (not shared) for limited hours each day. This guest suite is located downstairs underneath a high-set classic Queenslander style house only 3 km from the Brisbane CBD. We live upstairs and will offer you assistance and hospitality if that is what you want, or total privacy if that is what you prefer. You can freely come and go as you please with your own key to your own private and self-contained accommodation. Our house is a "dual occupancy" house. The downstairs area can be rented as a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house with kitchen and living room (sleeping up to six people). More often we rent it as two self-contained "guest suites". BE aware that if you are choosing to rent this room as a "guest suite" that there may be another airbnb guest staying in our other room downstairs. Your stay will be like staying in a house divided in two. You have secure accommodation with your own private keyed entry and your own bathroom/ensuite (not shared) and your own kitchen facilities (not shared) . However, you might sometimes hear some background noise because of other guests living on the other side of an internal (not sound-proof) wall. We ask guests to be aware of this and show consideration by trying to be reasonably quiet guests especially during typical sleeping hours and also when you are aware that other guests are home. You do not need to share facilities, but you do need to willing to be considerate of others especially in relation to noise. The local area is well-served by public transport (bus and train). An Uber into the CBD or The Valley (Brisbane's nightclub and live music precinct) will cost you only $10 unless you are travelling during peak hour traffic. The Brisbane airtrain travelling to the Gold Coast from Brisbane airport provides you with a direct link to our place. You get off at Park Road Railway station which is a 10 minute walk from our place (note - it takes longer if you are dragging luggage behind you!). Picking you up from the local train station with your baggage might be possible if your arrival in Brisbane is at a convenient time to us. We would need to discuss this with you via airbnb message service a day or two prior to your arrival to confirm that we can help you out. We will make every effort to allow for 24 hour check in (e.g. during the day when we are both at work, or even in the middle of the night) by making arrangements that enable you to collect your key and let yourself into your room without needing our assistance. However, due to past experience (our dog escaping when guests left gate open costing us $208 to retrieve him from the dog pound!), we require clear communication between you and us via airbnb messaging before we confirm any arrangements for you to check in without us being here!!) The room has two single folding Ikea sofa beds, which can also be configured into a queen size bed fitted with Queen sheets if you are travelling as a couple. You will need to tell us before your arrival if you want the beds made up as two single beds rather than a double bed. Otherwise, the room will have a double bed set up when you check in, There is a mini flat screen TV with built in DVD player in your room. WiFi internet will work easily in your room, even though modem is upstairs in our house. No off street parking available. If you have a car, we can provide you with a resident's guest parking permit to be displayed on the dashboard of your car which will prevent you from getting a parking ticket if your car is parked in our street for more than 2 hours between the hours of 9 am and 5pm Monday to Friday. But you must let us know that you will need this before you arrive. There will be a $20 security deposit required for the parking permit which will be returned when you give the permit back on your day of departure. We offer bicycles (2) free of charge with a bicycle lock also supplied - if you would like to explore inner Brisbane in this way. There are scenic bike rides along the nearby Brisbane River and Kangaroo Point cliffs which you can access using the bikeway system (no on road riding needed). We can give you information about the Brisbane bikeway system - maps etc - if this is your interest. We also have an e-bike as well as regular bicycles. Please ask in advance if you want to use the bikes. We actually live in a great spot for cycling enthusiasts who might be interested in exploring inner Brisbane via bicycle. If you think you might want to use the bicycles at night, please bring your own bike lights to attach to the bicycles. We will provide bicycle helmets and bike locks. You're welcome to use our laundry (front-loading washing machine) to catch up with laundry while here. Just let us know so we don't end up needing to both do laundry at the same time! Laundry liquid provided. No clothes dryer available, but you are welcome to dry your clothes on the clothes line in our back yard. This accommodation is quite small but it is modern, private, and separate/self-contained from our family's living space upstairs. It is therefore especially suited for people who might prefer the feeling of privacy provided by self-contained accommodation rather than having to share a bathroom or living space with others, but who might also travelling on a tight budget making a normal studio apartment too expensive. The cleaning fee of $20 includes your fresh linen and towels,and basic first morning breakfast supplies (milk, breakfast cereal, tea and coffee) if you are going to be checking in late - please just let us know, "Can we have complimentary breakfast supplies please!!) Ask us if you would like to borrow umbrellas from us . . . hopefully not required! In the past, we have had home stay students from overseas stay with us. Persons from overseas countries, with English as a second language or from different cultural backgrounds especially welcomed. We have hosted people immigrating to Australia who have used our airbnb as their first base as they find their way and settle in to a new country. We enjoy cultural exchange and learning. We seek to offer a special type of true hospitality to those who specifically ask for it. [Matthew 25:35-40] The option of joining us for dinner on our "deck" - Australian for "outdoor living room" - is available. This would need to be by discussion - depends on your dietary requirements and whether we can easily cater for them (We are not vegetarians - but eat vegetarian food at least twice per week and vegetarians can be easily catered for). Cost is $10 per person per meal. We request 24 hours notice if you are interested in taking up this offer. LEGAL DISCLAIMER. Get the Uber app on your phone!!

  • Duncan is considerate, will make sure that everything is good before your arrival. He is on the more discrete side, not a host that wants to spend the whole week around you! The bikes were super useful to move around the city. The place was clean and well located to explore the city with bus or bike. Furthermore Duncan was really accommodating with an issue I had with my suitcase. Overall really great host and place, highly recommend!

    Our Penthouse Studio offers a spacious open plan room, suitable for a single person, couple, family (including babies) and business travellers. Balcony overlooking the fabulous Hinterland views of Brisbane, the entire studio is exclusively yours. ☺ Apartment size: 80m2 Large balcony: with outdoor al fresco dining area. This is an open plan space with the option of a king size bed or 2x single beds. With 2x fold out sofa chair beds and a fold out bed are available for extra persons at an extra cost. Please note: this is more suitable for a family with 3 kids or teenagers. As it can become a bit crowded with 5 adults. But if you all are happy to save $$$, this could be an ideal arrangement. Guests have access to DVD player with DVDs. We also have DVDs suitable for children. For a family with infants and toddlers. I do charge $20 for the use of a Portacot, includes bedsheets and blankets. Please let me know if you wish to have this option so I can set it up prior to your arrival. But if you wish to set up the Portacot yourself and put away, then there is no charge or if your children are sleeping with you. We can set up a play tent upon request. I have a baby bath tub for your convenience. Ceiling fan in lounge space and in bedroom space with remote controls for extra comfort. Kitchenette - stand alone cooktop and stove - microwave - toaster - sandwich maker - jug - coffee plunger - pots, pans, utensils, crockery and more. My building is a hotel/apartment. There is a restaurant at Lobby level, open only for breakfast and serves continental breakfast during weekdays or there is Cafe 63 down the road (3mins walk). Bathroom - bath and hand towels - shampoo & conditioner - body wash - hairdryer. My Wifi is good enough for checking emails and for quick browsing. If you need a fast and great connection and needing it for work then this listing might not be for you. I have a suction grab bar for you to use to assists your balance while entering or exiting the shower. There are no steps in the apartment. Housekeeping is available at an added cost $25. This can be organised during your stay.

  • We booked Flasta's apartment for 8 days and we couldn've been happier. We were contacted beforehand and given clear directions as to how to get there and welcomed at the door by Flasta. A lovely apartment containing everything we needed as well as a great view (especially at night!) Very handy to transport and Flasta kindly offered to get any supplies we needed on at least 2 occasions. A very enjoyable stay and hopefully we will return. Besides all that the weather was perfect!   • We had a great visit at the Hillcrest Apartments Penthouse. Everything was just as it was advertised. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. It was also in a very good location. It is within walking distance of all the great restaurants and attractions in Southbank. It was also a perfect location for us as it was right next door to Mater Private Hospital and I needed to have some tests run. Our hostess, Flasta, was very friendly and extremely helpful and offered to store our luggage for us on our last day before we had to go to the airport. We would highly recommend this apartment. We hope to stay here again in the future.

  • I stayed at the penthouse with three friends for two nights and it was lovely. It is close walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Flasta was so kind to let us check in early and leave a bit later. The patio and views are stunning, and the beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was fully equipped, and we cooked two big dinners there. There is also a gym, pool, and sauna on the main level! I highly recommend this penthouse for anyone who wants a comfortable scenic stay close to South Bank!

  • I absolutely enjoyed my stay here and would recommend Ali's apartment to all my friends visiting Brisbane. I got in at 2.30am in the morning and he was gracious to wait for me until then to ensure I was oriented and comfortable. Ali made me breakfast in the morning and we got into interesting conversations about Australia, Brisbane and other topics. He was very easy-going and friendly. The apartment itself is well maintained and very clean with fantastic views of Brisbane from the 53rd floor. The location is fantastic with the Roma Station, a main railway station connecting Brisbane with other locations, just a 5 minute walk away. I was provided with clean towels, bed covers, toiletries and a spacious separate bathroom. In many ways, it was even better than the Hilton hotel I stayed in.

Great central location with an easy walk to City, SouthBank Parklands, Brisbane river, Cultural Centre, museums and galleries. This modern studio is located in a secure, well maintained complex. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
    Property features include: -Kitchen with electric appliances (big fridge, cooktop, microwave), utensils, plates and cutlery -Good-sized bathroom with a washing machine (powder is provided) -Double bed, wardrobe, table, TV -Extra single mattress, linen, towels for third guest can be provided upon request. Please take in consideration that this is a small studio and 3 guests can stay for a short term. Please have a look at the floor plan and the photos carefully if there 3 of you. In some cases staying with 3 guest can be inconvenient. -Large balcony – perfect place to relax with the city views -Unlimited Wi-Fi internet -Air conditioned -Roof top pool, gym, BBQ area -Entertaining area with a big TV, table tennis, vending machines, tables and seats -12 visitor car spaces (with a 2 hours limit) in the building.   • We were attending an event at the Brisbane convention center and Maria's place is about 10 minutes walk away. It's a nice, clean place that looks better inside than out (the building is getting on in years). There's a good cafe next door that opens very early. There's also some construction. It didn't bother me but it was noisy during the day and the road was closed. Maria was a great host, with timely check in information, notes and welcome snacks. I would definitely consider staying here again next .

    TROPICAL, SIMPLE AND AFFORDABLE!! Hello and welcome to Brisbane! My son, small dog and I have a large leafy Queenslander home in Cannon Hill with roomy private self contained accommodation for up to four people downstairs. Cannon Hill is 8kms from city centre. The space has 1 large bedroom with TV (double bed with new mattress topper) with own bathroom and separate toilet and separate secure entrance so you can come and go without any disruptions. Kitchenette/living room connected to outdoor undercover terrace. This room contains a sofa bed or fold out beds for extra guests. The bedroom can also accommodate the single beds if preferred. Insect screens are installed on windows. A very child friendly property, with a secure tall fence all around and a large trampoline available for use. Offstreet parking for one car is available if needed, (I will put my car out) but there is plenty of free parking in the street outside for car caravan, boat etc. LOCATION Cannon Hill is located approximately 8kms from the CBD or roughly 15 minutes to the city or 15 minutes out to Cleveland and other bayside areas. We are only 20 minutes by car / taxi from the airport. Very handy to access both the Sunshine and Gold Coasts on the Gateway Motorway. There is a car rental office just around the corner! TRANSPORT Train: Cannon Hill Station on the Cleveland Line is 700 metres away. Bus: Route 227 to and from City stops around the corner - 50 metres away- all timetables available. Citycat Ferries: stop at Bulimba where there is a bus (Route 232) that comes to near our home. SEE TRANSPORT DETAILS. Airport or train station pick up can be arranged (small charge) if really needed. All timetables available here. Wireless internet available throughout house, and a small library for relaxing. Am working on a reference visitor information resource section but as a Brisbane person, I am able to provide good information regarding Brisbane's attractions. I have been a traveller so have a good understanding of visitor needs and will be delighted to share whatever I have in my head over a cup of coffee (or something more grown up) on the big back deck upstairs. It is simple, clean and contemporary - a good space to relax after a long business day, conference, student stay or visit to Brisbane.There are leafy options for outdoor eating relaxing in the simple undercover area or in the bamboo garden. FACILITIES New modern kitchenette within the living area with: Induction cooktop, microwave, electric frypan and skillet, toaster, electric kettle, flat bed griller (upon request) and refrigerator as well as tea and coffee making facilities, plates, cutlery for simple independent self catering. Pedestal fan, IPOD dock, large flat screen TV, iron and ironing board, large work table/ desk, plenty of wardrobe space and tallboy for clothes. Every stuffs and facilities are wonderful and Annie's so sweet that leave a detail information book in the house that we can check all the transport or shops around the house .   • We stayed at Bamboo Gardens with Annette and Toby for about 16 days. The accommodation suited us perfectly as it was spacious, modern and clean. Annette was a gracious host and helped us with a number of things during our Brisbane stay. Eating breakfast or having a morning coffee on the outside patio was very relaxing. Their dog, Dustygirl, is one of the calmest most delightful dogs I have met. When we return to Brisbane we will book another stay with Annette and Toby!

It was simple and I love the way she made use of the space available - making it bigger by crowding the place with stuff. The views from the living room and the bedroom were fantastic & spectacular. Celine gave really good instructions on how to get to her place from the airport. She was nice and friendly and I loved the smoothies she made in the morning. Also, on the final morning she allowed me to stay a little longer than the check out time which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend it to everyone & I don't have to look anywhere else to stay the next time I come to Brisbane because I only have one place in mind :)

    The garden is a dominant feature of the space. Both the deck area and the tea house provide views of the garden which is relaxing and private. Guests have their own private access to the living area which is fully air conditioned. Enjoy a cool beverage on the spacious deck after a day of sightseeing, meetings/work.
    The neighbourhood is close to parks. The green space at the back of the house leads to a small park. Then crossing the road at the end of the street is a larger park, playground and coffee shops, just a 50 metre walk. The neighbourhood is quiet and leafy. A short drive will take you to the Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens then drive to the top of Mt Cootha for magnificent views of Brisbane and enjoy a drink/lunch/dinner at the Mt Cootha Lookout restaurant.

  • The apartment is 15-20mins walk from the city centre. We arrived at around 10 p.m. on that night. Greg was not at the apartment. He sent us a detailed check in instruction and information about the apartment one week in advance. He told us what would happening when we arrived...like two lovely dogs would give you a warm welcome to us when you open the front door etc. When we get to our room, we found that the whole room including the bathroom is spotless, tidy with a gorgeous view and large balcony outside which made us excited to stay. You may find many beautiful photos decorated around the house, you would be surprised after you know who take these photos. Unfortunately, during our stay, outside is just raining and windy. The bad weather did not allow us to go out. What fortunate is that Greg & her daughter were at home. We just cant stop chatting. That’s was amazing. Even he made a banana cake, he shared with us. In dinner time, we made some dishes and he made his own. We shared our dishes and have some culture sharing. Staying here was just an amazing experience for us.

  • Our time with Greg was just fantastic! He and his cute little dogs welcomed us so nicely and created a very friendly athmosphere! there is nothing we have missed while we stayed with him! It's very close to bars and nice restaurants, and just the perfect location to discover Brisbane! Greg also gave us some useful tips what to do in Brisbane and helped us if we had any questions.(he also picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at our car rental office!) The room is very cosy, clean, it has its own bathroom and the view over Brisbane from the terrace is just amazing! We would definitely book it again!

  • On arrival, I was first greeted by Granny (she was super adorable!) because Clare was out buying supplies but when she came back, she dropped by to welcome my stay in Brissy. Clare was a wonderful host, she was helpful and very friendly! I love how the place was separated from Clare's actual home, I don't feel like a bother to her family but I also didn't expect to be living with a few other guests too, which was a pleasant surprise.

  • West End Wonder is really well-worded. We enjoyed staying with Clare & Henry so much. Both are so warmhearted, friendly and funny. We did not spend much time with them, unfortunately. But we enjoyed the two hours we had together, before we left. The room was as descripted, clean, friendly, lighty and cosy. We like Brisbane and definitely recommend staying in West End (especially Skinner Street ;-) ) The quarter is perfect. Restaurants, Bars and unique shops are nearby. Even the city center you can reach by foot. Hope we will come back...some day.

Walking distance 10 minutes about 800m to fabulous restaurants and bars in West End, 15 minutes to Southbank and 18 minutes to Brisbane City. Relaxed atmosphere, easy going hosts, access to a gorgeous large deck overlooking white, sandy beach pool, tropical gardens. Deck with lounge chairs and upstairs rooftop deck has amazing sunset views to chill out.
    We call it "The Last Resort "because it has its own private beach with silky white sand, pool, huge rear deck with comfy lounges and rooftop deck with views of the river and sunset drinks. West End is a vibrant, alternative, gay friendly area with a wild collections of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and music venues similar to Fitzroy and Surry Hills. The house is white inside and out and catches all the sunrises and sunsets. Your room has a large queen sized bed, and a private ensuite in a white and airy bedroom within a renovated Queenslander house in West End, Brisbane. We live on the same level of the house and our adult children live downstairs. It is so close to the city but so leafy and quiet just near the river but five minutes walking distance to 20 fabulous West End coffee shops, 16 bars and over 40 restaurants. Only 2 kilometres from the centre of the city, all the tourist venues and Southbank Cultural Centre - you can walk, catch a bus or go luxury style in a Rivercat Ferry. We have a limit of 12 days to stay with us because we still love some time to ourselves. We have renovated 5 houses and this is definitely The Last Resort - we don't have another renovation in us! It's bright and white, high ceilinged and airy with tropical gardens. There are plenty of different areas to escape or areas to sit and have a chat. You also have to share the house with two loveable and very friendly white puppies. On the weekends we are happy to share a BBQ and some great Aussie wines or just some advice on the greatest places to go in Brisvegas and tours up and down the coast. Our names are Paula and Rob and we have travelled extensively in Europe Asia and the Carribean. My last adventure was 3 months backpacking around South America and we both love to hear about travel adventures. There is a huge gourmet kitchen if you are into cooking, wireless Internet, street parking and cable in the living room. It's a place to chill out and relax, quiet and secluded but so close to the city and all the action. It's a great location to base yourselves for day trips up to Noosa Heads, Australia Zoo and down to Byron Bay. The buses leave not far from here and if we are around we can drop you at the station.
    Quiet, leafy residential area of Brisvegas full of birdlife, possums and bush turkeys with a view of the river. Close to quirky, eclectic, fabulous bars, live music venues, at least 30 restaurants all within 10-15 minutes walking distance.

  • The only down fall of this place was that we didn’t get to stay long enough. Paula and Thommo are brilliant hosts. They’re friendly and extremely accommodating. The room itself is extremely comfortable, the bed is like sleeping on a cloud and the ensuite is modern with everything you need. The view is simply stunning and perfect when you’re having your morning coffee. I literally cannot fault this place. You even get cuddles from two fluffy, friendly little doggos!

    My unit is close to Brisbane city centre, Roma Street train station and South Bank. The unit is fully self contained with a kitchenette, a queen bed in the bedroom, a pull out sofa in the lounge room and two bathrooms. For those travelling on business, it is close to the Brisbane convention centre and CBD. For football fans, it's walking distance to Suncorp Stadium There is also a pool :) Please note - the view is not spectacular. It is of the roof top of the building next door and mountains.
    The unit is located in the Park Regis building - a prime spot for holiday makers and those travelling on business or for the football
    Beautiful South Bank Parklands is across the river - just a 20 minute walk (1.6 kms) Roma Street Parklands is a 15 minute walk (1.4 km) Queen Street mall is a 15 minute walk (1.2 km) Suncorp Stadium and Caxton Street (restaurants and bars) is also a 15 minute walk (1 km) - Prime spot for Roar fans The Barracks is a five minute walk (450m) - this contains a grocery store, a cinema and restaurants QUT is a 20 minute walk (1.8 km)

  • Love the apartment and its location. Just around the corner from the Roma st railway station and so close to many things. The apartment was bigger than most with 2 bathrooms and 2 aircons and plenty of space to move. Easy to get into the car park as well. Lisa was so easy to deal with and finding the place was a breeze. Just a 10 minute walk to Southbank and 2 train stops from Roma st to central station. Wifi, Foxtel and Netflix are just some of the great things you get when you stay in Lisa's apartment.   • Spent a delightful 9 days in Lisa’s apartment. The apartment itself was great- clean, welcoming and well equipped. It was a nice surprise to he provided with extras like shampoos and conditioner to use during our stay. The building itself was also great. This apartment has the feel of a hotel with the freedom of being its own unit. The real star however was the location of the apartment. Lisa overestimates the walk to the nearest train station- it took us around three minutes from door to door! From there, it was one stop to the city centre! However, after the first day, we realised that the city centre was only a very simple 15 minute walk away which we enjoyed doing almost daily. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Brisbane!

    Situated in the Water's Edge complex at West End, which is 3k's from Brisbane CBD the quiet riverfront location offers direct access to walking, jogging and cycle tracks, parkland spaces, weekend food markets and everything else West End has to offer. Also situated within the complex is a gym, library, gardens with both a lagoon and 25m heated infinity edge pool, plus BBQ pavilion's., with security access throughout.
    The apartment is on the ground floor and overlooks the gardens with views to the river. Your own private bedroom, has a king size bed, with high quality linens, your own TV with Netflix, an alarm clock, two side tables with lamp's, shelving, sliding door wardrobes, a chest of drawers, Reverse cycle (cooling or heating) Air-conditioning, as well as a Ceiling Fan with lighting and a remote control You also have your own private bathroom, which is complete with shower, toilet, and amenities, such as a hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, hand soap etc., and soft towels, including one to go to the pool with. All bed linen and towels are included as well as your own dedicated and secured WiFi internet access. For those of you whom are flying into Brisbane airport, from interstate or overseas, airport transfers are generally only available on weekends and not Monday to Friday, please let us know your travel plans once you have them finalised, especially if your potentially arriving very early or very late. And for those of you arriving by car, we can provide secure underground parking for the duration of your stay, we will just need a heads up on that please prior to your arrival, so we can make arrangements.
    We are close to the west end markets, and the pubs and eateries of boundary road (which is the main drag through Eclectic West End) is an easy 15 min walk or 8 min Uber :-) There's an Aldi store 5 mins away, or a "night Owl" recently opened across the road from the complex. But if your preference is coffee and bagels, there's one nearby over in vulture street, or if seafood is your Achilles heel, then there's "sea fuel" also around the corner in Vulture Street. The all important morning "heart starter" coffee can be had by going across the road to cafe 63, which serves Campos coffee, or by walking up the road to the "Recycyle Cafe". If a cleansing ale or a decent glass of vino is more your forte, then the newly opened 'Montague hotel' on the corner of kurilpa street and montague road is the place to be, literally 3 mins walk from the apartment. Try their fresh grilled chicken chipotle salad, yummmm. We are also close to the South Bank Precinet, so Griffith and QUT campus's are easily accessible, as is Queensland University at St Lucia and QUT at Kelvin Grove. Additionally, the Modern Art Gallery, State library and Natural history museums are within easy access at SouthBank, as is the QPAC theater if you wish to catch a show. And for those of you attending conferences, the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Center is also close by and accessible by a number of methods, details of which are as follows: A. cycling - 12 mins B. walking - 30 mins C. bus - 15 mins D. self driving/uber - 10 mins
  • I couldn't have asked for a nicer place or nicer people to stay with. Steve and Micaele were hospitable to the end - always happy to help, answer any questions and have a chat but equally respectful of space. Micaele gave me a go card (travel card) to use with a bit of credit on which I thought was so kind and ideal for someone arriving for the first time in Brisbane as it meant I was able to hop into the city straight away on the bus although really it's so close most of the time I walked. Micaele also lent me her bike so I could get into town quicker and have a scenic cycle ride (well worth doing!). The apartment and room is, without a doubt, the best airbnb I've ever stayed in- it was like living in a show home, so well thought out and decorated to an incredibly high and tasteful standard. The bathroom is for your sole use and has an incredible rain shower! The bedroom I loved - a HUGE super kind size bed that was so comfy it was like sleeping on a cloud!! and, although I didn't use it, Steve told me there was an iPad for use in the room as well with all sorts of useful apps on - Uber etc.

  • In one word: PERFECT! My stay in the home of Micaele and Steve was absolutely amazing. I felt most welcome, they were so lovely and hospitable. There was not nothing missing. I had a really cozy room, it was very clean and tidy everywhere and so beautiful decorated. The whole complex with pool, gym, ... is awesome. Very close to the river, so you can easy walk to CBD without crossing any big roads. Two days before I went home, I had an injury with my foot. Steve and Micaele called the doctor, drove me there and behaved like my parents would do. I was so glad they helped me that much! Definitely recommend this great Airbnb and those really nice people. Thank you so much for everything!

    Comfortable open plan space underneath old Queenslander. We have a spare 33 sq metres to offer fellow travelers that makes a great base to explore inner Brisbane. After a hard day exploring you are welcome to chill in our rainforest inspired garden.
    Our space has own street access, is airconditioned, has a double size bed, shower, toilet, fridge, microwave, toaster, tea/coffee facilities, fan, WiFi, comfy lounge and study desk (but No TV). On street parking permit can be arranged. What have other guests enjoyed about our place? Its private access, our garden, Daves hand man furniture, his artwork, the friendly dogs and the location. We are walking distance to just about everything Inner Brisbane has to offer. Kangaroo Point Cliffs are few 100 metres away; we are walking distance to the city; the art galleries at southbank and the night life in the valley. The space is underneath the main house with its own access from the street, so you are free to come and go as you please, but we are always happy to welcome you up to join us on our back deck for a chat. The space has a low ceiling so people over six foot two or two metres tall might find it uncomfortable. Also being an older Queenslander the floor above is wooden so you might hear us moving about upstairs. We do have high speed Wi Fi plus a collection of books on travel and other stuff you might find interesting but we are in a TV dead zone (very poor reception) so we have no TV. If your really hanging out for that special program on the box you might be disappointed. We also have two very friendly Huskies so if you do wish to explore our backyard you will have your own personal guide.
    Kangaroo Point is very close to the city but on the opposite other side of the river. Our space is walking distance to lots of attractions, Kangaroo Point Cliffs are 150 m away with amazing city views, the cafe with the best view of Brisbane, there are electric BBQ's and its a fantastic vantage point for watching Riverfire and NYE fireworks; the CBD is 15 minute stroll (850 m) to Thornton Street Ferry which leaves every 15 minutes during peak times. Gabba Cricket Ground home of the Brisbane Loins ALF club is 900 m down the road; 1 km towards the Valley you will find the Storey Bridge Hotel, one of the hippest pubs in Brisbane; Just across from the Gabba is the fine dining at the Logan Street Restaurants; Coles supermarket is also on the other side of Ipswich Road (1.1 km); South Bank with its dinning, parklands, city beach, GOMA, Museums is a 30 minute walk along the river bank (1.6 km away) and China town and the night life of Fortitude Valley is only 2.2 km away. We enjoy the walks and bike paths along the river and the view from the Cliffs as the sun sets behind the city towers.Sunset iIn summer we have the flying foxs flying overhead as they head into the city to feed on the native figs.

  • I'd never been to Brisbane before but had no trouble finding the apartment using the directions provided. Brett & Dave were leaving for the weekend but I was able to share a beer with them on the Friday night and they were great hosts, making me feel really at home and helping me locate a few places in town I was planning to visit, as well as giving me a tour of their amazing house. The accomodation itself was great, really cosy, with some lovely up-cycled furniture and Dave's artwork on the walls. Location is good too - I was able to go for a run along the river and walk into town and the west end. I was only there for two nights but I wish I'd been able to stay longer. Brett & Dave were fantastic, and I loved the apartment.

I requested early-check-in for 11:30 am, which was accepted. Wifi access was provided when i asked. Body wash and shampoo were prepared in the bathroom.     You can go to anywhere in the CBD by foot! The building is just right in the CBD. Close to anything, 5 mins walk to QUT Garden Point, 5 mins walk to Queen Street Mall - the busiest area of Brisbane CBD. The building offers free gym, pool and sauna. And, I offer you the best place with the most reasonable price for your travel :) Hope you feel like staying at home!

  • Incredible views of the city, unfortunately the apartment wasn’t as clean as we would hope. There were ingrained stains in the bathroom and kitchen. The bed was particularly uncomfortable and instead of a double it was 2 singles pushed together with what felt like a solid bar between them. The view was fantastic and Peter, our host, was very helpful, unfortunately the cleanliness let it down.

  • Blake's Place right in the heart of the city is absolutely central to restaurants, shopping and public transport. Coffee shop next door to the building had great coffee and opened early, felt safe in the building with only key swipe for elevators and Aircon was great. The apartment was exactly as the photo's show and there were 4 of us. We cooked our own breakfast but also shops all around the Building that had lovely looking breafast. Queen St mall was the next street up and very convenient. Blake was very responsive with messages and checked us into the unit in no time. Excellent Wifi and all that you need for a comfortable stay. Will definetaly be staying again. Pub over the road if you feel like a drink and 7Eleven's all around.

  • Decent sized apartment, close to the shopping area, a 10 min walk to the train. Kitchen was basic but fine for breakfasts, but the bbq upstairs was nice to use. The couch was very small - my short friend had her feet hanging off, and very hard as mentioned by other guests. The main bed was overly soft, but deal with able (better than too hard). As for construction noise, we were quite lucky, only a persistent thud sound on the Saturday from 8 onwards. Be aware there is a construction elevator right outside the room which would be noisy if operating - luckily wasn’t on the weekend only the Friday afternoon. The pool was pretty, however not totally indoors, so a cold area and not very warm water. Also very very shallow (waist deep) so not the best for laps, only for relaxing in warmer weather.

  • Very clean and stylish apartment in a great location, it is a brand new apartment and has a lovely feel. It's extremely close to the river walk, shopping mall, botanical gardens, cafes and restaurants. The building is currently under construction, so the entrance is a bit of a construction zone, but we didn't hear any construction noise during our stay. Make note that this apartment is in the Uptown Building (to the left of the entrance), not the Downtown building. We did have to keep the blinds drawn most of the time as the apartment does look straight into neighbouring office buildings and apartments. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and Sue was very good to communicate with. Highly recommend.

Building has BBQ areas, pool, spa, sauna and a gym, which guests are welcome to use. The apartment has a unique design which creates a separated and very private guest area. No parking available.
    Bedroom with en-suite bathroom has access direct from apartment lobby, making it very private. Bedroom has queen size bed, large wardrobe, small bar fridge, Wall mounted TV with internet capabilities and free wireless internet also available.
    Building is close to shops, restaurants, public transport and botanic gardens. Located about halfway between Queen St Mall and the Botanic Gardens.

  • Maya and Daniels place was a great central base for us while we were in Brisbane. Close to shops, restaurants, the botanical gardens.... Maya was very friendly when we met her but the set up of the apartment means you can come and go without disturbing anyone. Definitely recommend this space, very comfortable and clean in a great location.

  • The place is located right in the centre of the city and within walking distance of central station. Having a little kitchen area inside made a huge difference. Vlad was very flexible with check in and checkouts and even held our luggage for us while we were waiting for our flights! He was always very communicative. Also the pool was heated and the sofa bed very comfortable!

  • This was the first AirBnb that I've actually booked myself (usually it's another person of my party) and I have to say that it was a great experience. Firstly they were very accommodating for an early check in, and the location was great. The apartment itself was clean and spacious with all the amenities one might want. The views from the balcony was great and there was wifi that didn't want to make me want to tear my hair out! If I were to stay in Brisbane again, I'd definitely choose this again!

Public transit around the corner. Supermarket, bakery and butcher down the stairs. Good for a short stay, host will need to provide more pots/pans and plates for guests that want to stay longer and cook for themselves. Bring your own pool/beach towels as only 2 bath towels are provided. With a few additional low cost items provided by the host this can be a super apartment to stay!

  • Really nice clean and tidy appartment, fast communication, super nice and helpful staff. View very good, best on 22nd level next to the infinity pool. Only downside, clean appartment yourself and also pay almost $50 on cleaning. Doesn’t add up. Really enjoyed my stay, will come here next time

    We had such a great time and Paula's and Thommo's place. The house is perfectly located in West End and many spots are within walking distance. The room is nicely decorated and the bed is really comfortable. We would to come back sometime and can recommend the Place to anyone.

    Tess was very welcoming, including my well behaved little pooch, on quite short notice. It was a wonderful quick escape . The studio was immaculate and comfortable with a really nice character. The deck and spa were a treat and surprisingly private for the location. Shame it was such a short stay or the BBQ would have been fired up too. Can't wait to return for more TLC - it's in such a convenient location. Thanks Tess
