The Nest

The Nest is a spacious one bedroom apt nestled in the Cavan countryside. Lovely quiet location, just off the N3, not far from The Slieve Russell, Hotel Kilmore, Cavan Crystal, Farnham Estate, Maguire's Bar & the Equestrian Centre. Nearby attractions a short drive away include The Marble Arch Caves, Cuilcagh Boardwalk, Killykeen Forest Park, Erica’s Fairy Forest, Cavan Adventure Centre, Florence Court House, Drumlane Abbey, Castle Saunderson, Lough Oughter and fishing spots to name but a few.

This cosy apartment is a short walk from ballyhaise village and 6km from cavan town. There is a regular bus into cavan town. It is a perfect place to stay when exploring tourist attractions in the Midlands or going to a wedding in one of Cavans hotels or just for a quiet break The self contained apartment is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials needed for a self-catering break The hosts are happy to answer any questions about the apartment or the local area. Cot and highchair available.

Newly renovated guest house

This cosy and comfortable house is located on the same grounds as the host in a quiet and tranquil place just 5 minutes from Cavan town. Perfect location just off the main N3 Dublin road. Only a 4 minute drive from the Hotel Kilmore, 5 minutes from Cavan town/ supermarkets/Cavan Crystal Hotel and 10 mins from Equestrian Centre. There are 2 bedrooms, one king and the other bedroom with a double and single bed. All essential kitchen facilities are provided and a welcome pack upon arrival.

The Skewbald

The skewbald is set on an elevated site on farmland belonging to a private equestrian Property. Our vintage horse lorry has been converted into a cosy luxurious and peaceful space. It enjoys views of rural Fermanagh farmland and Cuilagh mountain. As it is on a private equestrian property it leads to the option of renting a stable and bringing your equine friend to enjoy Fermanagh on Horseback. It is a short distance from many tourist attractions, stairway to heaven, Marble Arch and others.

Cloverhill Gate Lodge

This old stone cottage built between 1830 -1850 is tucked away at the archway entrance to the Cloverhill Estate. This cottage is surrounded by gardens and woodland. The magic of this cottage is undeniable . Originally built for the Gate Keeper this cottage reflects heritage with rustic simplicity. Though some features and fittings have been replaced, the survival of historic features, including the label mouldings and timber bargeboards add to its character and charm.

Magical gothic 3 bedroom mini-castle.

The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an small adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.

Claragh Cottage

A warm welcome awaits you in this newly built cottage located on a working farm overlooking Claragh Lake and within close proximity to many other lakes and rivers with an abundance of fishing opportunities. This retreat offers easy access to amenities in Cavan and surrounding counties. Situated 15 minutes from Cavan town and 5 minutes from the quaint village of Redhills, Claragh Cottage provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Peacock House

The Peacock House is located within the Lismore Demesne. It was once the dairy and workers cottage. From the 1980s onwards it was used to house peacocks, giving the cottage its name. After being left dormant for 80 years it was lovingly restored three years ago. These days it is a bright and cozy cottage offering tranquil views of mature trees and park land. There is private access to forest walks along the Doney Stream just outside the doorstep.

This apartment with 2 ensuite bedrooms and a spacious living area is suitable for a family, couples or a small group of friends. Located less than 2km from Ballyjamesduff where you can find all necessary amenities and also just 1 hour from Dublin. Suitable for events at Crover House Hotel and Virginia Park Lodge (we are situated less than 10 kilometres from these venues) and surrounding areas. This apartment is attached to the hosts family home.
