The Hen House Cottage

Hen House Cottage is a beautifully restored small barn in a picturesque rural setting 2 km from Dromore West, 10 minutes from the Wild Atlantic Ocean. Suitable for a couple or single occupancy, this charming, well-equipped cottage has a dutch-style box bed, shower and a small kitchen. It is totally self-contained - perfect for safe self-isolation in this unspoilt corner of the west of Ireland. Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. Cullinan House also known as Traditional Farmhouse is the original farmhouse for the Cullinan family going back many generations. It now sits along side The Old Cowshed which has been converted to living accommodation. Both are set on a 20 acre traditional farm overlooking the Burren National Park. The property is 5 min by car from the Village of Corofin and 14 minutes from Ennis the county town of County Clare. The Wild Atlantic Way and Cliffs of Moher are within 20 minutes of the property.

It is 25 minutes from Shannon Airport, 15 minutes from Ennis, the medieval capital town of Clare and 10 minutes from Tulla, the local town.
