Feel spoilt by the elegance of yesteryear in the 1800’s manor of Mount Pleasant. Dine al fresco beside your private pool at this historic property nestled under Table Mountain. Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. Cable TV and WiFi are included. On offer are bottles of wine and drinks, laundry and cleaning services. Other extras which may be available are: use of the baronial dining room for meetings (seating for up to 18 people) or special occasions (daytime only). Please note: the pool is NOT fenced and is immediately adjacent to the suite, so please take extra care (therefore the space is not recommended for children who cannot swim). Private garden and pool. Off-street parking for 1 car. Use of the large dining room on request. Guests can enjoy total privacy, but the family and domestic staff are usually at home to welcome you and happy to answer questions and assistance via phone or text.Our friendly dogs: Boris, Frankie, Josh and Pixel will always give you an enthusiastic welcome (but your garden and wing is private so the dogs won’t bother you). Newlands is one of the original leafy suburbs of Cape Town bordering the University and State President’s residence. Lovely and sheltered from summer winds and cafes, restaurants and shops are a stroll away. Newlands is perfectly central for most of Cape Town’s most popular excursions. Table Mountain and cableway, the V&A Waterfront, beaches, wine farms, and the city centre are all within 10-25 minutes' drive and Ubers etc are readily available. The suburb of Newlands itself has many attractions, but to enjoy the full offering of Cape Town we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi (Uber or call-taxi). Private guides or drivers will also collect directly from the premises. Airport transfers/shuttles/taxis are available at the airport or by booking through a transfer company. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. PETS We can accommodate pets on request, but be aware there are resident dogs. EXTRAS Extras, such as wine, can be paid in cash or through the SnapScan App. MEETINGS & FUNCTIONS The baronial dining room can be booked for special meetings and daytime functions (rates/availability on request). It is a handsome room and seats 14-18 people. SHOOTS & LOCATION The Mount Pleasant manor house and grounds may be available for professional photography/film shoots. This would need to be by special arrangement directly with owners or their agents. Rates vary according to specifics of the shoot. (Please note: use of the guest space for commercial shoots would be an extra cost and is not included in the accommodation rate).

Curl up in the snug reading nook before toasting the ocean sunset on the terrace of this high-end seaside hideaway. Take a sunny stroll on the beach and do some whale-watching, then head home to fire up the barbecue for an alfresco meal with a view. It is a studio apartment with fantastic views of the ocean and lions head. The apartment comfortably accommodates two people and with the sleeper couch, it is ideal for a couple with a child. It is also ideally suited for businessmen who would prefer not to stay in a hotel as it is a quick 10 min ride into the city against traffic. The apartment is stylishly furnished with high end finishes and all necessary mod-cons including fridge, dishwasher and convection oven. The apartment enters into the kitchen and open plan living room. There is a breakfast nook/reading corner with a mountain view. The kitchen has a large centre island with breakfast seating for two. The lounge has a large, comfortable 2-seater couch with flat screen TV. The bed is a normal sized double bed which is exactly 2m long with a headboard and footboard and is therefore not ideal for guests taller than 6ft. The bedroom offers ample wardrobe space and the bathroom has a free standing shower. The deck leads directly off the living room, features views of the ocean and Lion’s head and is the perfect place to enjoy the magnificent Camps Bay sunsets. There is an outdoor table with comfortable chairs which is an ideal spot for the holiday maker wanting to relax with a book on the deck or to enjoy an al-fresco meal. The apartment is a 20 min walk to the Camps Bay beaches and restaurants and a 5 min walk to Bakoven beach. Everview Studio can be booked together with Everview Suite if a 4-bedroom unit is required. There is wireless internet access throughout the apartment and full DSTV access. The apartment is serviced daily Monday to Friday. The owners live on the property and are able to help with any questions or recommendations for things to do in Cape Town. Camps Bay is a stunning place, with natural beauty and unique views of both the ocean and the mountains. Walk to Bakoven beach in five minutes, or head across to Camps Bay's popular beaches and restaurants in 20 minutes. The myCiti bus stop is 100m from the house and there are 2 dedicated bus routes into Cape Town from there. There is one route clockwise around Camps Bay and another anti-clockwise. PLEASE NOTE: The bed is a normal sized double bed which is exactly 2m long with a headboard and footboard and is therefore not ideal for guests taller than 6ft. There is one free parking space for guests. Additional parking bays by arrangement only. There is a grocery store about 200m up the road (2min walk) which is open from 7am - 9pm and is well stocked, has ample parking and ATM machines.

Sea Point Studio Retreat

Slide open the glass doors and step out to the private outdoor area with a cup of coffee and catch a glimpse of the sea. After some Netflix on the Samsung Smart TV, put the finishing touches on the day by sleeping between cotton percale linen with a 200-minimum thread count. In the evening admire the sunsets while sipping some wine and get the fire on the go on the kettle drum. The gas stove hob is also very useful for a quick meal. This compact studio has quality fittings and furnishings and caters for every comfort. Main living area/bedroom has a kitchenette, en-suite bathroom and glass sliding door leading onto a small patio with table and chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. Rest will be assured on a premium King Size (option of 2 singles) individual-pocket luxury mattresses with only the best minimum 200 thread count cotton percale linen. Netflix and other application available on the Samsung Smart TV, air conditioning with heating and cooling, loads of cupboard space and hair dryer is available. A compact and adequate kitchenette has all the basics - kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, egg boiler, Nespresso Coffee machine and sink. Starter packs of coffee, tea and milk provided. Guests will have access to the entire studio apartment and private patio area Your host will be available to answer any questions and give advice & recommendations should guests be new to Cape Town and would like assistance in planning their itinerary. In case of emergencies, your host lives in the area. Centrally situated in Upper Sea Point, take an easy walk to the shops, plus a choice of pristine beaches some just a short Uber ride away. Stay fit at the nearby Virgin Active Point Gym, and by following the hiking trails on Signal Hill and Table Mountain. Uber Taxi 's are highly recommended. It is the best and most cost effective way of getting around the area - as the apartment is situated in central Sea Point, after requesting the taxi, it will arrive normally within 5 minutes - very convenient. Uber Taxi uses a mobile app platform and all that is needed is for an application to be downloaded and a data or WiFi connection. Cape Town's efficient and cost effective MyCiti Bus service is 2 minutes walk from the premises The studio is made up with a King Size bed as standard - should you wish to have two singles, please inform your host at least 24 hours in advance.

We are not able to accommodate children The first level (ground floor level of the villa)consists of the cosy decorated lounge with flat screen TV, a dining area and the fully equipped little kitchen which can be separated from the lounge by an artfully painted sliding door. A small terrace invites you to sit outside for breakfast or sundowners. From the lounge a staircase leads downstairs to the basement with it's bedroom, a passage to the bathroom(shower only)and the dressing room. The King size bed can be separated and configured into single beds. Our guests are invited to sit in the beautifully landscaped garden on their own terrace with sun loungers and side table or enjoy the big swimming pool . From here stunning views over the whole bay and the surrounding mountains as well as spectacular sunsets will delight your senses. We respect the privacy of our guests yet we enjoy to extend hospitality and the feeling of home from home .We are available under the same roof to advise,support,recommend and help our guests to make their stay a memorable one. Camps Bay offers restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, and different beaches. It has been officially declared the safest area of Cape Town, due to privately organised street patrols and security companies. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. MyCity bus stop is circa 400m away on Geneva Drive with one route clockwise and another anticlockwise to transport visitors either to town or downhill to the Promenade . Uber taxis or any of the local companies are another option From our house it's a 15 min walk downhill into Camps Bay Security : Street parking only - Camps Bay has been officially declared the safest area of Cape Town The property is fully in and outdoor secured

Folding doors lead onto an expansive pool deck with sun loungers and a gas barbecue all for the exclusive use of the apartment guests. There is a full kitchenette with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, an en suite bathroom, lounge area with a large flat panel TV and an open-plan dining area. The apartment is serviced daily except for Sundays and public holidays. We have solar and battery power so are not affected by power outages. Mountain Walks, Village atmosphere with a city 10 minutes away. Beach 2km away. The suite is located on the lower level of the property and is totally private. There is parking on the property.
