Villa Lara is set in a peaceful location ideal for walking the levadas (unmissable walks in Calheta include Paul da Serra, Rabacal (to Risco Waterall & 25 Fontes), Levada Nova and the Prazeres to Paul do Mar walk) and is close to a bus route. The property is approximately 30 minutes drive to Funchal and 45 minutes from the airport. A car is recommended so you can explore the island at your convenience. The house first construction dates early 1930's and belonged to Mr. Manuel da Rosa who was my Grandmother's neighbour and the Village only store owner. My Grandmother Rosa and his wife Rosa were friends, reason I hounor the property by calling it "Quintas das Rosas". Its unbeatable location offers just 5 minutes from the best sandy beach of the island "Calheta Beach" and it is only 30 minutes from Funchal.
