Welcome to Joglo Gumuk, our small retreat space in the village Gendeng, surrounded by tropical gardens and overlooking the rice fields, just 8 km south of Yogyakarta. At the heart of Joglo Gumuk are two traditional Javanese wooden houses, each with its own character, and a movement studio where we host yoga, movement classes and small retreats. It takes only 7 minutes by car to go to tourist destinations such as Malioboro and Keraton (royal palace) and only 5 minutes by car to a lot of famous traditional restaurants in Yogakarta. You would love my place because the neighbourhood is very safe and calm.
