Our cottage is a cosy little retreat with many of its original features. It has been sympathetically restored although it now includes current amenities. Guests can avail of fast WiFi allowing them to stay connected with social media/emails or to relax in front of the wood burning stove with a movie on Netflix. The cottage has an enclosed terrace to the rear of the property with lovely rural views and a covered seating area with fire pit & bbq to the front with super views and private parking .

Riverside Cottage at Logwood Mill Watermill

Built in 1791 as a working Watermill our cottage is uniquely located on the Ballylinney River, just off the Larne Line route to the Giants Causeway. It has many original features such a vaulted ceiling, oak beams, thick solid stone walls, and original stone waterwheel well. It is the idyllic blend of both city and rural living, as it is based 10 minute drive outside the city centre. After a long walk over the Belfast hills or a busy day of sightseeing, you can hunker down with a cosy blanket on the rocking chair listening to the sounds of the forest, or soak up the views from our wild sauna and hot tub.

Just a mile from the National Trust Gleno Waterfall, a favourite spot for cold water dippers, is our refurbished, compact and bijou hideaway. You can enjoy leisurely hikes around Woodburn and Loughmourne Reservoirs (2 miles). 7 miles away is the magnificent "Gobbins Path," a cliffside trek considered to be one of Ireland's most stunning coastal walks. Our home serves as a gateway to the Co Antrim Coast Road and the world-famous Causeway Coastal Route, which is home to the Giant's Causeway.

The Gate Lodge

The Gate Lodge is located within the grounds of our 1700s farmhouse, Kildrum Cottage, just outside the historic twin villages of Kells and Connor, County Antrim. While it is situated in a semi-rural area, it is only 4 miles to the nearest major towns. This makes it a central location for visiting the North Coast, the Glens of Antrim and Belfast tourist attractions, all approx. 30 minutes away. The Gate Lodge is Tourism NI approved.
